Burbank, CA (June 16, 2022) – Premiering on September 12, “The Jennifer Hudson Show” has been fully cleared in over 95% of the U.S. by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. The series will air on Fox Television Stations, Hearst Television, Sinclair Broadcast Group, TEGNA, Nexstar Media Group, Scripps Media, and Gray Media Group, among other station groups.

Hosted by recent EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson, the new talk series has set the Daytime Emmy-winning team of Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner and Corey Palent (“The Ellen DeGeneres Show”) as executive producers and showrunners. Jennifer Hudson, Lisa Kasteler Calio, Graehme Morphy and Walter Williams III will also executive produce, while Shani Black (“Red Table Talk,” “Dr. Phil”) will serve as co-executive producer.

Additionally, Connelly and Lassner have each inked an overall deal with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and will develop, create, and produce other unscripted series for the studio.

About Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner

Since its inception in 2003, both Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner served as executive producers on the hit daytime talk show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” with Lassner having been promoted in 2005. The series earned them 22 Daytime Emmy(R) Awards, four Genesis Awards, one GLAAD Award, two Producers Guild of America Awards, and four People’s Choice Awards. Burbank, CA (June 15, 2022) – Cartoon Network Studios (CNS) and Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) has set an exclusive multiyear cross-studio overall deal with Emmy(R) Award-winning creator, producer, and director Genndy Tartakovsky.

Under his deal, Tartakovsky will develop, create, and produce original animated programming at both CNS and WBA intended for a variety of audiences and for all television platforms, including HBO Max, external streaming services, cable and broadcast networks. The cross-studio overall deal, developed by CNS and WBA, provides creators with maximum creative flexibility to develop original material and access to the extensive character and franchise libraries at each studio.

Tartakovsky is currently in production on Unicorn: Warriors Eternal – an animated supernatural adventure family event series coming soon to HBO Max and Cartoon Network. Season two of his Emmyâ Award- winning series, Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal, premieres this Summer on Adult Swim.

Genndy Tartakovsky Bio

Genndy Tartakovsky is an award-winning animation visionary, director, writer and producer best known for the hit Cartoon Network series Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars.

Tartakovsky created Dexter’s Laboratory, Cartoon Network’s first series, during his time at Hanna-Barbera where he also helped produce and direct another fan favorite series, The Powerpuff Girls. He then moved to Cartoon Network Studios, where he created Samurai Jack and Sym-Bionic Titan as well as produced and directed the beloved animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars.

In 2012, Tartakovsky made his feature directorial debut with the Golden Globe Nominated Hotel Transylvania and later directed its two sequels.

Tartakovsky has received an impressive 13 Primetime Emmy Award nominations and has been awarded five Emmys for his work on Star Wars: Clone Wars, Samurai Jack, and Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal.

In 2017, after a twelve-year hiatus, Tartakovsky returned to his roots, bringing back the fan favorite Samurai Jack. Originated from his desire to create the greatest action-adventure animated series ever, Samurai Jack resulted in a show that is cinematic in scope, incorporating action, comedy and intricate artistry and is truly unlike anything else on TV.

Tartakovsky reunited with Adult Swim on a for half-hour animated series, Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal, that debuted in 2019, that features a caveman at the dawn of evolution, a dinosaur on the brink of extinction and their unlikely friendship that becomes their only hope for survival in a violent, primordial world.

Under terms of the agreement, which was structured as a Reverse Morris Trust transaction, at close AT&T received $40.4 billion in cash and WarnerMedia’s retention of certain debt. Additionally, shareholders of AT&T received 0.241917 shares of WBD for each share of AT&T common stock they held at close. As a result, AT&T shareholders received 1.7 billion shares of WBD, representing 71% of WBD shares on a fully diluted basis. Discovery’s existing shareholders own the remainder of the new company. In addition to their new shares of WBD common stock, AT&T shareholders continue to hold the same number of shares of AT&T common stock they held immediately prior to close.

In Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, we travel back to 1920s Shanghai to reveal the story of how 10-year-old Sam Wing (future shop owner Mr. Wing in the 1984 movie) met the young Mogwai called Gizmo. Along with a teenage street thief named Elle, Sam and Gizmo take a perilous journey through the Chinese countryside, encountering, and sometimes battling, colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore. Television Group today announced the establishment of a new scholarship to support students in need of financial assistance at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), inspired by the new WBTV series All American: Homecoming, from executive producer/showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll and Berlanti Productions. Developed in partnership with the NAACP, the Warner Bros. Television Group All American: Homecoming Grand Slam Scholarship will award $100,000 in grants to 10 students ($10,000 per scholarship) pursuing degrees at HBCU institutions throughout the United States. All American: Homecoming is a new young adult sports drama for The CW set against the backdrop of the HBCU experience at the fictional Bringston University, where Black excellence is a way of life. The announcement was made today during an All American: Homecoming panel hosted by the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA). A spinoff of the critically acclaimed hit WBTV/The CW drama All American, All American: Homecoming continues to tell inclusive and authentic stories that center the Black experience in American life.

All American Homecoming follows Simone (Geffri Maya), a young tennis hopeful from Beverly Hills who is trying to fight her way back to great after some time away from the court, and Damon (Peyton Alex Smith), an elite baseball player from Chicago who is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. After Simone’s aunt Amara Patterson (Kelly Jenrette), a journalism teacher and activist, exposes a scandal that threatens to derail the school’s beloved baseball program, new coach Marcus Turner (Cory Hardrict) is determined to bring a championship back to Bringston the honest way – with Damon’s help. Damon will adjust to his new normal with fellow baseball player and childhood friend JR (Sylvester Powell) by his side. Meanwhile, as Simone struggles to find her footing, she will get a little guidance from Thea (Camille Hyde), the super-competitive queen bee of the Bringston tennis team, and Keisha (Netta Walker), the school’s unofficial mayor, who will help Simone learn how to live her best life. As they contend with the high stakes of college sports, Simone and Damon will also navigate the highs, lows, and sexiness of unsupervised early adulthood at a prestigious HBCU.

Burbank, CA (August 16, 2021) – Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) and Cartoon Network Studios (CNS) have set an exclusive, multiyear cross-studio overall deal with Emmy(R) Award-winning producer, writer, and performer Wyatt Cenac.

Under his deal, Cenac will develop and produce original animated programming at both WBA and CNS intended for a variety of audiences including preschool, kids, adult and family/co-viewing across all WarnerMedia platforms, as well as external outlets and services. Currently, Cenac has two projects in active development at the studios – an animated longform movie and adult animated series – in addition to assisting on other various series development. Cenac joins Looney Tunes Cartoons executive producer and showrunner Pete Browngardt as the second overall cross-studio deal at WBA and CNS which allows for maximum creative flexibility to develop original material and access to the extensive character and franchise libraries at each studio. Emmy(R), WGA Award winning and Grammy nominated performer, writer, and producer Wyatt Cenac is NY-based stand-up comedian. Armed with an “attentive, inquisitive perspective” (AV Club) and an “hilariously understated style” (Paste Magazine), he has become a favorite of audiences and critics alike. From 2008 to 2012, Wyatt was a writer and popular correspondent on the hit late-night Comedy Central series The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he earned 3 Emmy Awards and one Writer’s Guild Award. Wyatt has appeared as a recurring character on the popular Netflix series Bojack Horseman, Fox’s The Great North and Bob’s Burger, and FX’s Archer. Wyatt also starred in the TBS alien abduction comedy series, People Of Earth, alongside Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Ana Gasteyer. Notable amongst Wyatt’s feature work was his leading role in Barry Jenkins’ award winning feature film, Medicine for Melancholy. The TV hour was listed as one of the “11 Best Standup Specials of 2014” by Vulture and was praised as “some of his best, funniest insights” by The AV Club. Wyatt’s first hour-long special Comedy Person premiered on Comedy Central in May 2011, earning him a spot-on Paste Magazine’s “Best Comedians” list of that year. The album of the special was named one of the “Best Comedy Albums of 2011” by Huffington Post. His standup comedy and variety series Night Train with Wyatt Cenac streamed on NBCUniversal’s comedy-focused subscription-video service SeeSo for two seasons. BURBANK, Calif., June 1, 2021 — Discovery, Inc. (NASDAQ: DISCA, DISCB, DISCK) today announced the new name of the proposed standalone global entertainment company that will emerge from the combination of WarnerMedia and Discovery assets: “Warner Bros. Discovery.” The Warner Bros. Discovery name will honor, celebrate and elevate the world’s most-storied creative studio in the world with the high quality, global nonfiction storytelling heritage of Discovery.

David Zaslav, President and CEO of Discovery and the future CEO of the proposed Warner Bros. Discovery combined company, unveiled the new name to WarnerMedia employees from the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, CA, where he said:

In May, AT&T and Discovery reached a definitive agreement to combine WarnerMedia’s premium entertainment, sports and news assets with Discovery’s leading nonfiction and international entertainment and sports businesses to create a single company.
