September 8, 2022 – Paramount+ today unveiled a new teaser for the third and final season of the hit original series STAR TREK: PICARD, featuring a first look at the new starship, the U.S.S. Titan. The teaser was introduced by series star Patrick Stewart on-stage during today’s global live-streamed “Star Trek Day” celebration. In addition, it was announced that season three will debut on Thurs., Feb. 16, 2023, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. Following its premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode long final season will be available to stream weekly on Thursdays.

The STAR TREK: PICARD conversation at today’s “Star Trek Day” celebration featured series stars Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd. The “Star Trek Day” celebration is available for fans to live-stream worldwide for free at StarTrek.com/Day and on YouTube (Paramount+ and Star Trek Official pages), Facebook (@StarTrek), Twitter (@StarTrekonPPlus) and TikTok (@ParamountPlus). STAR TREK: PICARD features Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” and follows this iconic character into the next chapter of his life. LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd star alongside Patrick Stewart in the third and final season of the hit Paramount+ original series.

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. “STAR TREK” AUGMENTED REALITY DELTA PORTALS

“Star Trek Day” will also be celebrated with a one-of-a-kind opportunity for fans around the world with the debut of in-person “Star Trek” Augmented Reality Delta Portals. The Delta Portals will be set up for a limited time in select cities internationally, from Wednesday, Sept. 7 to Thursday, Sept 8. Each location will have three “Star Trek” Deltas, each seven feet tall and featuring QR codes that, when scanned on Instagram, transform the objects into mixed-reality portals that bring the user into the world of “Star Trek.” Each augmented reality experience will be based on a current “Star Trek” series, featuring fully 3D alien planets, classic starships and iconic characters as they interact with both the virtual and physical worlds.

July 8, 2022 – Paramount+ will bring a mountain of entertainment to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con with a weekend filled with unforgettable panels from fan-favorite series and franchises, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes conversations and reveals.

The mountain of entertainment continues with a “Star Trek”-themed activation and immersive experience, a Beavis and Butt-Head photo opportunity, and a chance to step inside the iconic Paramount Mountain at the official Paramount+ booth. The celebrations kick-off on Thursday, July 21 and go through Sunday, July 24.

“Star Trek” Universe Panel in Hall H. —–The Greatest American Hero: The Complete Series tells the story of an American English teacher (played by William Katt) who comes across a special alien suit with mysterious powers. The instruction manual for the suit disappears and the teacher – as well as his group of friends, played by Connie Sellecca and Robert Culp – must figure out the proper way to use the suit before chaos ensues and the aliens claim the town and the world.
NOTE: this show has been released on DVD in the past (between 2005 and 2017) from various other studios, but those sets have all gone out of print. VEI appears to be re-releasing The Complete Series on DVD format, and with the same sort of on-disc content as we’ve had before (including, apparently, all changes and edits to the show, such as the missing original music; there is no indication of content added back in which was previously left off of the past DVDs). There have been no extras indicated on this release, either (so don’t look for “The Greatest American Heroine,” for example). This release appears to simply be targeted at fans who missed purchasing the previous DVD releases. VEI has only announced this item for DVD format; there are no announced plans for Blu-ray Disc.

In honor of First Contact Day, Paramount+ today revealed that Patrick Stewart’s “Star Trek: The Next Generation” co-stars LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner will star alongside Stewart in season three of the service’s hit original series STAR TREK: PICARD. Season three is the concluding chapter in the STAR TREK: PICARD saga.

“I remember watching the premiere of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ almost 34 years ago with my father like it was yesterday. It was the spark that ignited my love for science fiction,” said Terry Matalas, season three showrunner and executive producer. “So, it’s most fitting that the story of Jean-Luc Picard ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the U.S.S. PARAMOUNT+ ANNOUNCES PREMIERE DATES AND ADDITIONAL SEASONS FOR “STAR TREK” UNIVERSE SERIES

Jan. 18, 2022 – Paramount+, the streaming service from ViacomCBS, today announced new season premiere dates and additional 10-episode-long season pickup orders across the service’s “Star Trek” Universe live-action series:

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY has been renewed for a fifth season. Season four of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY returns with new episodes on Thursday, Feb. 10.

Season two of STAR TREK: PICARD will premiere on Thursday, March 3. Following the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays. STAR TREK: PICARD is currently in production on a third season.

STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS has been renewed for a second season ahead of its season one debut, which will premiere on Thursday, May 5. Following the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays.

In addition to the live action series within the “Star Trek” Universe on Paramount+, there is more animated “Star Trek” on the horizon:

STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS will return summer 2022 with a 10-episode-long third season. STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS has also been renewed for a 10-episode-long fourth season.

Season one of STAR TREK: PRODIGY returned on Thursday, Jan. 6 with episode six. The remaining four episodes of season one’s first half will be available to stream weekly on Thursdays, with episode 10 available to stream on Thursday, Feb. 3. The additional 10-episode-long second half of season one will be available on Paramount+ later in 2022.

Live from the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, Calif., Star Trek Day will be hosted by Wil Wheaton and Mica Burton and feature back-to-back in-person conversations with cast members and creative minds from the “Star Trek” Universe, “legacy moments” with iconic cast, plus surprise appearances, announcements and reveals throughout. On Sept. 8, 1966, “Star Trek” graced television screens for the first time with “The Man Trap,” the pilot episode of “Star Trek: The Original Series.” On that day, “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry introduced audiences to a world that championed diversity, inclusion, acceptance and hope. Fifty-five years later, Paramount+ will honor this important day and the franchise’s enduring legacy with the service’s second annual Star Trek Day celebration, providing fans with a memorable way to enjoy and celebrate all things “Star Trek.”

“STAR TREK DAY” GLOBAL LIVE-STREAMED CELEBRATION (5:30 PM, PT/8:30 PM, ET*)

Join hosts Wil Wheaton and Mica Burton for over two hours of free live-streamed panels and programming that will reunite iconic cast members and creative minds from 10 “Star Trek” television series, as they gather in person to celebrate 55 years of “Star Trek.”

In addition to the panels, the programming will feature “legacy moments” with iconic cast members diving into memorable “Star Trek” stories from years past. In addition, there will be a special “Roddenberry Legacy” panel, in honor of Gene Roddenberry’s 100th birthday.

Jeff Russo, the composer of the main themes for STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and STAR TREK: PICARD, will be at the helm of the Star Trek Day stage with a live orchestra, performing “Star Trek” music throughout the evening.

The following panels will include the casts and creatives from iconic “Star Trek” television series:

STAR TREK: PRODIGY, with series voice cast including Brett Gray and Dee Bradley Baker, along with executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman and co-executive producer/director, Ben Hibon.
