Trapped on the planet with them are the Drahvins, a race of warrior women, and the reptilian Rills. The Drahvins want to steal the Rill spaceship to escape the planet’s death throes, and enlist the Doctor’s help, which he is forced to give when Maaga, the cunning Drahvin leader, keeps first Vicki and then later Steven as her hostage. Even though the Doctor is determined to broker a peace deal between the two sides in this conflict and help everyone escape safely, Maaga doesn’t trust him, or the Rills. Three of the original 1965 master recordings of ‘Galaxy 4’ were lost soon after the program’s original transmission. However, audio-only recordings have survived and have been used here to create a brand new fully animated presentation of this lost classic. 2-disc set.

—–The Faceless Ones is the mostly-missing eighth serial of the fourth season of Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in six weekly parts from April to May 1967. Starring Patrick Troughton as the Doctor, the story concerns a race of identity-stealing aliens known as the Chameleons. Only two of the six episodes are held in the BBC film archives, with snippets of footage and still images existing from the other four. Off-air recordings of the soundtrack also still exist, making the animation of a complete serial possible once again. The six new animated episodes are being made in full color and high definition.
NOTE: this title was previously scheduled for release in late July, but was then delayed until October 6th. It has now been pushed back again, this time to October 20th (a short delay). Package cover art (see attached collage) has now been finalized.
