“In MONARCH, we found a unique way to authentically reflect our commitment to innovation, opening new touchpoints for fandom and cultural connection,” says Tilmann Gruber, FOX Entertainment’s Senior Vice President, Strategy and Operations.

Adds Laura Caraccioli, Senior Vice President, Head of Strategic Creative Partnerships, “We wanted to take an entirely new approach to consumer product development with FOX’s first wholly owned scripted series, MONARCH, by creating a standalone business that supports this exciting new IP. We worked alongside the show’s development team and crafted a new bourbon brand with a truly buzzworthy name that reflects the show. Collaborating with Next Century and ReserveBar, we brought the brand of Truthteller 1839 to life by curating tasting notes that reflect the inner soul of MONARCH and deliver its spirit directly into the hands of fans.”

“As a pioneer in the spirits ecommerce segment, ReserveBar has always prided itself in being at the “tip of the spear” in terms of innovations and brand partnerships. TruthTeller 1839 Bourbon is the logical extension of our leadership in celebrity and entertainment themed spirits, and we expect this to be just one of numerous projects that we will be conceptualizing and launching in partnership with FOX and others. We strive to make ReserveBar an exciting discovery platform with curated spirits, and this exclusive collaboration delivers on exactly that,” said Lindsay Held, co-founder and CEO of ReserveBar. “By partnering with FOX Entertainment and Next Century to bring TruthTeller 1839 Bourbon from the television screen to avid bourbon enthusiasts, we saw an opportunity to create something unique and special, available only to ReserveBar consumers.”

“NCS is extremely excited to partner with FOX and ReserveBar on this unique opportunity. With such a robust story line, we were able to take inspiration from the show to create a truly custom bourbon,” said Jenny Gates, Executive Vice President of Finance and Strategy at Next Century Spirits. “We focused on producing a smooth, sweet, oak forward whiskey with added notes of smoke, leather, biscuits, and caramel that reflects the Texas heritage from both the bourbon and the show.”

MONARCH premieres with a special two-night event, beginning Sunday, Sept. 11, and immediately following the FOX NFL doubleheader (8:00-9:00 PM ET, and simultaneously to all time zones). It then makes its time period premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). The series is 100% owned and produced by FOX Entertainment. Screenwriter Melissa London Hilfers serves as creator, writer and executive producer. Jon Feldman (“Designated Survivor,” “The Newsroom”) is an executive producer and showrunner. Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady (The Jackal Group) and top music manager Jason Owen (Sandbox Entertainment) also serve as executive producers. Jason Ensler (“The Passage”) directed and serves as a producer on the series premiere.

MONARCH debuts with a special two-night event, beginning Sunday, Sept. 11, immediately following the FOX NFL doubleheader (8:00-9:00 PM ET, and simultaneously to all time zones). It then makes its time period premiere Tuesday, Sept. 20 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), following the Season Six debut of THE RESIDENT (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).

In MONARCH, the Roman family is headed by the insanely talented, but tough-as-nails Queen of Country Music DOTTIE CANTRELL ROMAN (Sarandon) and her beloved husband, “Texas Truthteller” ALBIE ROMAN (Adkins). Dottie and Albie have created a country music dynasty. But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown NICOLETTE “NICKY” ROMAN (Friel) will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom.

Middle child LUKE ROMAN (Joshua Sasse, “Galavant”) is the CEO of the family’s business, Monarch Entertainment. Luke is the apple of his mother’s eye, but he has a troubled relationship with his father, whose approval he can never get, no matter how hard he tries. Youngest daughter GIGI TUCKER-ROMAN (singer/songwriter Beth Ditto, “On Becoming a God in Central Florida”) is very close to her older brother and sister, but in a family of superstars, Gigi has always felt like a bit of an outcast, in spite of her incredible singing voice. Gigi is married to KAYLA ROMAN-TUCKER (Meagan Holder, “Dave,” “Pitch”), a successful music manager who keeps turning down Luke’s offers to join forces with the family company. Outside business, Kayla’s relationships with the Romans reflect a complicated history, and a secret she is keeping could destroy her marriage to Gigi. ACE GRAYSON (Hollywood newcomer and Filipino recording artist Inigo Pascual) also is part of the family. He is a talented and sensitive 18-year-old who was adopted from an orphanage by Nicky and her husband, struggling British actor CLIVE GRAYSON (guest star Adam Croasdell, “Preacher,” “Reign”). Ace is a phenomenal singer with real swagger on stage, and dreams of being a country star like his Grandpa Albie. And just when the Romans’ world couldn’t get more chaotic, enter CATT PHOENIX (Martha Higareda, “Into The Dark: Culture Shock”), the stunning and unpredictable mother of 17-year-old ANA PHOENIX (Emma Milani, “Solve”), a talented, wide-eyed young singer who is trying to get signed to the Roman family’s record label.

MONARCH is 100% owned and produced by FOX Entertainment. Screenwriter Melissa London Hilfers serves as creator, writer and executive producer. Jon Harmon Feldman (“Designated Survivor”) serves as executive producer and showrunner. Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady (The Jackal Group), Michael Rauch (“Instinct,” “Royal Pains”) and top music manager Jason Owen (Sandbox Entertainment) also serve as executive producers. Jason Ensler (“The Passage”) directed the series premiere, on which he also served as an executive producer. The series will feature original music and covers.

International superstar Shania Twain is a five-time Grammy winner and one of music’s most renowned trailblazers. With five albums released and more than 100 million albums sold worldwide, Twain remains the top-selling female country pop artist of all time. Her hits include “Any Man of Mine,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” “You’re Still the One” and “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!.” Twain was the first artist in history to release three consecutive Diamond-certified albums. Twain’s first album in 15 years, NOW, was released in September 2017 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums, making it the first female country release in more than three years to top the all-genre chart. Additionally, the album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country album charts and went to No. 1 in Canada, Australia and the U.K. The release was followed by a year-long sold-out NOW World Tour. Twain is currently performing at her second residency in Las Vegas, called “Let’s Go!.” The residency at the Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino kicked off with a sold-out run and continues through 2022. On July 26, Netflix released “Shania Twain: Not Just a Girl,” a brand-new, career-spanning documentary on Twain’s life and career with an accompanying highlights album. Twain, the Queen of Country Pop, will return with new music this year.

Multiple-Grammy nominee Martina McBride sold more than 23 million albums to date, which includes 20 Top 10 singles and six #1 hits. McBride has earned more than 15 major music awards, including four wins for Female Vocalist of the Year from the Country Music Association, and three wins for Top Female Vocalist from the Academy of Country Music. McBride has been awarded 14 Gold Records, nine Platinum honors, three Double Platinum Records, and two Triple Platinum Awards. McBride was awarded the Covenant House Beacon of Hope Award and Music Business Association’s prestigious 2015 Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award for her philanthropic efforts on behalf of domestic violence. In 2019, McBride was honored with the x-apple-data-detectors://2 Icon Award at the ACM Honors, for her impactful contributions to country music. She has released two cookbooks – the first, “Around the Table,” a full-color illustrated collection of her favorite recipes, hosting tips, practical menu planning advice and themed décor inspiration, and her second book, “Martina’s Kitchen Mix: My Recipe Playlist for Real Life,” in October 2018. In 2021, McBride unveiled her first exhibit in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The exhibit, titled “The Power of Her Voice,” was recently extended for an additonal year and will run through August 2023. In July of 2021, McBride released “Martina McBride – Greatest Hits: The RCA Years,” a double-LP vinyl package, with a color variant exclusively at Walmart. This fall, McBride will join Wynonna Judd on “The Judds: The Final Tour.” When McBride isn’t in the studio, she focuses her time on charitable causes dear to her heart through her Team Music Is Love charity initiative. McBride resides in Nashville with her husband, John, and their three daughters.

Grammy, ACM, CMA, AMA and Emmy Award-winning group Little Big Town – consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman and Jimi Westbrook – first entered the music scene over 20 years ago with hit songs “Boondocks,” “Bring It On Home,” “Good As Gone” and the Grammy-nominated “Little White Church.” The band’s breakthrough albums Tornado and Pain Killer, produced multiple #1 singles, including “Pontoon,” “Tornado” and “Day Drinking,” as well as the history-making, best-selling country single of 2015, “Girl Crush.” 2017’s The Breaker debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Charts and Top 10 (No. 4) on the Billboard 200 to critical acclaim. The album features their Grammy-winning, multi-week #1 single, “Better Man,” as well as the 2019 Grammy-nominated “When Someone Stops Loving You.” The band’s self-produced ninth studio album, Nightfall, was released January 2020 and hit the top of the Billboard Country Charts. The record included critically acclaimed and Grammy-nominated “The Daughters,” “Over Drinking” and “Wine, Beer, Whiskey” – the latter of which has reached more than 362 million global streams. In April 2022, they released their new single, “Hell Yeah,” which has amassed more than 30 million global streams to date. Little Big Town has earned more than 45 award show nominations and has taken home nearly 20 awards, including multiple Grammy, AMA, People’s Choice, CMA and ACM Awards, in addition to an Emmy Award. Their highly anticipated 10th studio album, Mr. Sun, will arrive on September 16, 2022.

Edgy. Classic. Country. A defining voice of music and a modern-day legend, two-time 2020 Grammy winner Tanya Tucker continues to inspire artists today. Born in Seminole, TX, Tucker had her first country hit, the classic “Delta Dawn,” at the age of 13 in 1972. Since that auspicious beginning, she has become one of the most admired and influential artists in country music history, amassing 23 Top 40 albums and a stellar string of 56 Top 40 singles, ten of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country charts. Tucker’s indelible songs include some of country music’s biggest hits, such as the aforementioned “Delta Dawn,” “Soon,” “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” “It’s a Little Too Late,” “Trouble,” “Texas (When I Die),” “If It Don’t Come Easy” and “Strong Enough To Bend.” Tucker is also the recipient of numerous awards, including two CMAs, two ACMs and three CMT Awards. In 2020, Tucker received two Grammy Awards — for Best Country Album: While I’m Livin’; and Best Country Song: “Bring My Flowers Now.” In the fall of 2020, Fantasy Records released Tanya Tucker – Live From The Troubadour on October 16, the one-year anniversary of Tucker’s historic, standing-room only set from which it originates. Tucker was in the midst of resurgent visibility and acclaim, generated by her Brandi Carlile- and Shooter Jennings-produced While I’m Livin’ album, released two months earlier – so the brief stand in front of the West Hollywood tastemaker crowd took on a palpable air of significance. As someone who’s been center stage for more than 50 years, Tucker is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the album directly to The Troubadour. The country icon’s signature tequila, Tanya Tucker’s Cosa Salvaje Tequila, is now available in 14 U.S. states and Canada, with additional stores carrying the spirit every day.

MONARCH Premieres with a Two-Night Event, Beginning Immediately Following FOX NFL Doubleheader on Sunday, September 11; Night Two Airs Tuesday, September 20, in its Regular Time Period

Produced by three-time GRAMMY Award nominee and series executive music producer Adam Anders and co-produced by Peer Åström; written by Adam Anders, Heather Morgan and Casey Brown, “American Cowgirl” is a song that captures both the spirit of the show and speaks to the complicated relationship between the mother and daughter duo of country music’s first family, Dottie and Nicky Roman.

“We wanted the song “American Cowgirl” to feel like an American classic, but fresh and current at the same time. It had to embody both Dottie and Nicky Roman’s characters musically and lyrically. To accomplish this we teamed up with Casey and Heather, two of the best songwriters in Nashville. When we stumbled on the lyrics “red lips, blue jeans, white pearls’ in our writing session, I knew had something special,” said Anders.

MONARCH is a Texas-sized, multi-generational musical drama about America’s leading family of country music. Headed by the insanely talented, but tough as nails Queen of Country Music DOTTIE CANTRELL ROMAN (Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, “Feud,” “Thelma & Louise”) and her beloved husband, “Texas Truthteller” ALBIE ROMAN (multi-Platinum country music star and three-time Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award winner Trace Adkins, “Old Henry”), the family has become a country music dynasty. Los Angeles, CA – Charlie Collier, CEO, FOX Entertainment, today will unveil the FOX content slate for the 2022-2023 television season to the national advertising community during its in-person Upfront Presentation. FOX is adding three new dramas, two new animated comedies and one new unscripted series to its lineup, expanding its content strategy with increased program ownership that spans scripted, reality and animation. Original content from in-house business units FOX Entertainment Studios, Studio Ramsay Global, FOX Alternative Entertainment and Bento Box Entertainment will drive growth and fuel thematic scheduling across network and streaming.

“FOX Entertainment enters the Upfront – a week literally built for broadcasters to align with advertisers – as the only company, no matter the platform, with advertising at its core. Advertisers have been our focus since the start of this company, and we’re proud that this too is proof of FOX’s differentiation,” said Charlie Collier. “As you’ll see during our presentation, building barriers between our best content and our brand-partners simply isn’t our business model.”

Returning FOX series include dramas 9-1-1: LONE STAR (Season Four) and THE CLEANING LADY (Season Two); comedies CALL ME KAT (Season Three) and WELCOME TO FLATCH (Season Two); animated series THE SIMPSONS (Season 34), FAMILY GUY (Season 20), BOB’S BURGERS (Season 13), THE GREAT NORTH (Season Three) and HOUSEBROKEN (Season Two); and unscripted series THE MASKED SINGER (Season Eight), CRIME SCENE KITCHEN (Season Two) and, as previously announced, HELL’S KITCHEN (Season 21). Additional series renewals to be announced.

Joining returning hit dramas THE CLEANING LADY and 9-1-1: LONE STAR are country music drama MONARCH, starring Susan Sarandon, Trace Adkins and Anna Friel; crime anthology series ACCUSED, from “Homeland” and “24” executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa and “House” creator David Shore; and missing persons drama ALERT, from executive producers Jamie Foxx and John Eisendrath (“The Blacklist”).

Animation remains a cornerstone of FOX programming. From FOX’s premier animation house, Bento Box Entertainment, come two all-new animated comedies: GRIMSBURG, starring and executive-produced by Jon Hamm; and KRAPOPOLIS, from “Rick and Morty” co-creator Dan Harmon, and starring Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), Richard Ayoade (“The IT Crowd”) and Matt Berry (“What We Do in The Shadows”). Additionally, KRAPOPOLIS will serve as the first-ever animated series curated entirely on the Blockchain, as FOX and Bento Box build their NFT business. The company will launch a dedicated marketplace for KRAPOPOLIS that will curate and sell digital goods, ranging from NFTs of one-of-a-kind character and background art and GIFs, as well as tokens that provide exclusive social experiences to engage and reward super fans. An NFT of the KRAPOPOLIS cast image is minted on the Eluvio content blockchain with token metadata. GRIMSBURG and KRAPOPOLIS join returning series THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY, BOB’S BURGERS, THE GREAT NORTH and HOUSEBROKEN.

FOX doubles down on unscripted series from Gordon Ramsay with GORDON RAMSAY’S FOOD STARS, the award-winning chef’s all-new search for the next big food & drink entrepreneur. GORDON RAMSAY’S FOOD STARS will join this season’s #1 new entertainment series, NEXT LEVEL CHEF, which will debut its second season immediately following SUPER BOWL LVII, airing Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023. THE MASKED SINGER, CRIME SCENE KITCHEN and, as previously announced, HELL’S KITCHEN return next season.

Additionally, new seasons of FANTASY ISLAND and LEGO MASTERS, previously scheduled to air this summer, now will air during the 2022-2023 season. LEGO MASTERS also will air the brand-new multiple-night event LEGO MASTERS: CELEBRITY HOLIDAY BRICKTACULAR.

Bolstering its portfolio of owned content, FOX announces new programming set to premiere next season on its ad-supported streaming service, Tubi. From FOX’s Emmy Award-winning animation house, Bento Box Entertainment, come three new made-for-Tubi movies: PASTACOLYPSE, from “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” co-creator Matthew Maiellaro; MILLENNIAL HUNTER, from comedian and actor Sam Taggart; and BIG BRUH, from writer, stand-up comic and DUNCANVILLE co-producer Jerron Horton. Additionally, FOX Alternative Entertainment continues to provide fan-favorite documentaries for Tubi, with plans to release 12 new projects over the year ahead. As previously announced, FOX Entertainment’s Tubi has entered a major film deal with Village Roadshow Pictures to produce multiple films from Village Roadshow’s newly announced “Black Noir Cinema” initiative. Upcoming feature films and Tubi Originals include CINNAMON, starring Emmy Award nominee Damon Wayans and Golden Globe nominee Pam Grier, which will be produced by Village Roadshow, alongside NBA legend and cross-over talent Kevin Garnett and his Content Cartel (“Uncut Gems”), and director and producer Oz Scott (“Black Lightning,” “S.W.A.T.”).

FOX’s new dramas include:

MONARCH is a Texas-sized, multi-generational musical drama about America’s first family of country music. In MONARCH, the Romans are headed by the insanely talented, but tough as nails Queen of Country Music DOTTIE CANTRELL ROMAN (Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, “Feud,” “Thelma & Louise”) and her beloved husband, “Texas Truthteller” ALBIE ROMAN (multi-Platinum country music star and three-time Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award winner Trace Adkins, “Old Henry”). Dottie and Albie have created a country music dynasty. But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown NICOLETTE “NICKY” ROMAN (Golden Globe nominee Anna Friel, “Pushing Daisies”) will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom. MONARCH is owned and produced by FOX Entertainment. Screenwriter Melissa London Hilfers serves as creator, writer and executive producer. Jon Feldman (“Designated Survivor”) serves as showrunner and executive producer. Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady (The Jackal Group), Jason Owen (Sandbox Entertainment) and Michael Rauch (“Royal Pains”) are executive producers.

Based on the BBC’s BAFTA-winning British crime anthology, comes a provocative series that takes you on the journey of the defendant. Each episode opens in a courtroom on the accused, with viewers knowing nothing about their crime or how they ended up on trial. Told from the defendant’s point of view through flashbacks, ACCUSED holds a mirror up to the current times with evocative and emotional stories. In ACCUSED, viewers discover how an ordinary person gets caught up in an extraordinary situation, ultimately revealing how one wrong turn leads to another, until it’s too late to turn back. Emmy and Golden Globe winner Michael Chiklis (“The Shield”) guest-stars in the premiere episode, as Dr. Scott Corbett, a successful brain surgeon with a seemingly perfect family. He faces the limits of unconditional love when he discovers his teenage son may be planning a violent attack at school. Later in the season, Marlee Matlin, Billy Porter and Michael Chiklis each direct episodes of the anthology crime drama. ACCUSED is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment. ALERT is a character-driven police procedural about the LAMPU — the Los Angeles Police Department’s missing person’s unit. When police officer Nikki Parker’s son goes missing, she joins the LAPD’s Missing Person’s Unit to help other people find their loved ones, even as she searches for her own. Six years later, her world is turned upside-down when her ex-husband, Devon Zoellner, shows up with a proof-of-life photo of their missing boy. Or is it? ALERT is a procedural drama with a heart-pounding, life-or-death search for a missing person in each episode, that runs alongside Nikki and Devon’s quest to find out the truth about the person claiming to be their long-lost son. It’s a case-of-the-week show with a case-of-a-lifetime story running through it — a story that alternately brings our two main characters gut-wrenching heartache and heart-pounding joy. ALERT is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment. John Eisendrath (“The Blacklist”) serves as showrunner and executive producer. Jamie Foxx and Datari Turner are executive producers.

FOX’s new animated comedies include:

All-new animated comedy GRIMSBURG stars Emmy Award winner Jon Hamm (“Mad Men,” “Top Gun: Maverick”), who also serves as an executive producer on the series. In GRIMSBURG, Marvin Flute (Hamm) may be the greatest detective ever to catch a cannibal clown or correctly identify a mid-century modern armoire. But there’s one mystery he still can’t crack — his family. Now that he’s back in Grimsburg, a town where everyone has a secret or three, Flute will follow every lead he’s got to redeem himself with the ex-wife he never stopped loving, even if it means hanging out with the son he never bothered to get to know. GRIMSBURG is owned by FOX Entertainment, and produced by Bento Box Entertainment. Catlan McClelland and Matthew Schlissel created the series and serve as co-executive producers. Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady, Connie Tavel, Chadd Gindin and Jon Hamm serve as executive producers.

From Emmy Award-winning creator Dan Harmon (“Rick and Morty,” “Community”) comes KRAPOPOLIS, an animated series like no other. Set in mythical Ancient Greece, the series centers on a flawed family of humans, gods and monsters that tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other. The series’ voice cast features Emmy Award winner Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), Richard Ayoade (“The IT Crowd”), Matt Berry (“What We Do in The Shadows”), Pam Murphy (“Mapleworth Murders”) and Duncan Trussell (“The Midnight Gospel”). In the series, Ayoade voices “Tyrannis”, the mortal son of a goddess. He’s the benevolent King of Krapopolis trying to make do in a city that lives up to its name. Waddingham plays “Deliria,” Tyrannis’ mother, goddess of self-destruction and questionable choices. Within her extended Olympian family – forged in patricide and infidelity – she’s known as the trashy one. Berry is “Shlub,” Tyrannis’ father, a mantitaur (half centaur [horse + human], half manticore [lion + human + scorpion]). He is oversexed and underemployed, claims to be an artist and has literally never paid for anything, in any sense of that word, for his entire life. Murphy voices “Stupendous,” Tyrannis’ half-sister, daughter of Deliria and a cyclops. Trussell plays “Hippocampus,” Tyrannis’ half-brother, offspring of Shlub and a mermaid, and, obviously, a hot mess, biologically speaking. KRAPOPOLIS is owned by FOX Entertainment, and produced by FOX’s Emmy Award-winning animation studio, Bento Box Entertainment. The series is an outgrowth of the direct animation deal Harmon and FOX Entertainment unveiled in 2020.
