CARRIE MOREY ROLLS IN FOR A SECOND SERVING OF HER REALITY SERIES

AWARD-WINNING BAKER AND ENTREPRENEUR CARRIE MOREY ROLLS IN FOR A SECOND SERVING OF HER
REALITY SERIES “HOW SHE ROLLS” PREMIERING ON PBS LIVING SEPTEMBER 12

Arlington, VA – August 29, 2022 – Returning for a second season on PBS LIVING this September comes the next chapter of “How She Rolls,” the culinary series that follows the life of Carrie Morrey, award-winning baker, author, business owner and most importantly, mother, wife and daughter. The first season followed Carrie as her family and business, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, went through, in real time, the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, when she learned to balance being a mom with the pressures of being a business owner during a world health crisis.

In season two, Carrie experiences the growing success of her business, which leads to more challenges. New players, rising costs, store closures and health issues create obstacles, but also help her refocus personally and professionally.
Carrie states, “This has been an incredible journey — filming our second season, the tremendous growth of the business, and of course, balancing it all with the ups and downs of family life. I hope we are not only entertaining viewers and causing mouths to water over our one-of-a-kind, homemade biscuits, but also providing valuable insights into the demands of being a young company without losing sight of how important caring for your loved ones is.”

The importance of family, food and resiliency are themes that run throughout the inspiring ten-episode culinary docuseries.

One of Carrie’s mouth-watering recipes, featured in Season 2, is below:

How She Rolls: Season 1

Premiere Date: May 13, 2021
Episodes: 10
Genre: Unscripted, Lifestyle, Cooking

In the 10 episodes of “How She Rolls” viewers are introduced to Carrie Morey as she runs a growing business from her kitchen, her car, food festivals, her daughter’s volleyball games, and anywhere else she finds herself. The series takes us from the early beginnings of starting her business — juggling her family life while opening a new store in Charlotte, N.C. — and soon after the opening, when the pandemic hits and the coronavirus overtakes America. Over the next few months, Carrie will shed staff and run out of flour, but also discover a new path to success. With faith and determination, Carrie is able to take her employees to a dairy farm to discover how buttermilk is made, cook with her parents (her culinary inspiration), and begin to create recipes for a new cookbook. All of this is captured on-camera as audiences watch Carrie seek to rebalance her work and her life, making big decisions about the future of her company, and its respective stores.
