After capturing the hearts of Wizarding World fans around the globe, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is coming to Cartoon Network and TBS for the first time on Sunday, April 10. The enchanting retrospective special will air first at 6:00 p.m. ET/PT as part of Cartoon Network’s ACME Night with an encore presentation on TBS at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers tuning in to each broadcast will be treated to a special sneak peek of Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which is set to hit theaters on April 15.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts invites fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson reunite, together with other favorite cast members and esteemed filmmakers across all eight Harry Potter films. Originally created as a celebration of the anniversary of the franchise’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, this unique television event includes brand new cast discussions, insights from the creative team behind the magic, and comments from creator J.K. Today HBO Max released a new campaign introducing the streamer’s unprecedented line-up for 2022, featuring highly anticipated original programming, Warner Bros. films made exclusively for HBO Max, new content from beloved DC and Wizarding World franchises, hit movies, and more. Following a year marked by groundbreaking hits, the spot signifies HBO Max’s continued commitment to deliver audiences fresh and imaginative content, featuring bold, iconic characters from the world’s best creators—all in one place.

As the countdown to the most enchanting event of the season continues, HBO Max revealed today the official trailer for Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. The highly anticipated Max Original retrospective special is set to premiere on the platform Jan 1.

Announced last month, the retrospective special invites fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson will reunite, together with other esteemed cast members and filmmakers across all eight Harry Potter films. In celebration of the anniversary of the franchise’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, this unique television event includes brand new cast discussions, insights from the creative team behind the magic, and comments from creator J.K. Rowling.

Nov. 16, 2021 – Burbank, CA – Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson join filmmaker Chris Columbus and other esteemed cast members across all eight Harry Potter films as they travel back to Hogwarts for the first time to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which premiered 20 years ago today. The retrospective special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time. The highly-anticipated retrospective will be a capstone event of the holiday season, dropping as the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, on HBO Max. The special will also debut on TBS and Cartoon Network in spring 2022 ahead of the Warner Bros. Pictures theatrical debut of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and will roll out globally with more details to come.
