HBO Max Reveals New Campaign Spot Highlighting Upcoming Originals, Warner Bros. Streaming Exclusives, Hit Movies And More Arriving In 2022

Today HBO Max released a new campaign introducing the streamer’s unprecedented line-up for 2022, featuring highly anticipated original programming, Warner Bros. films made exclusively for HBO Max, new content from beloved DC and Wizarding World franchises, hit movies, and more. Following a year marked by groundbreaking hits, the spot signifies HBO Max’s continued commitment to deliver audiences fresh and imaginative content, featuring bold, iconic characters from the world’s best creators—all in one place.

Among the exciting line-up are new Max Original series “Peacemaker,” starring John Cena as the compellingly vainglorious character Peacemaker from “The Suicide Squad” and “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,” a capstone event of the holiday season celebrating the anniversary of the franchise’s first film “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” along with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and other legendary cast members. ‘Tis the season for a parade of new original programming and movies coming to HBO Max all month long!

“The Matrix Resurrections,”(12/22), the next film in the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre, reunites original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the iconic roles they made famous, Neo and Trinity. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters nationwide and on HBO Max via the Ad-Free plan on December 22, 2021; it will be available on HBO Max in 4K UHD, HDR10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos (English only) on supported devices for 31 days from theatrical release.

Remaining Six Episodes Of The First Season Will Debut This November
HBO Max has renewed GOSSIP GIRL for a second season. The first six episodes of the series, which debuted July 8 to become the best launch for a Max Original Drama series this year, are available to stream now. The remaining six episodes of season one will debut in November.

Developed by showrunner Joshua Safran, a writer and executive producer on the original series, this extension of the pop culture classic takes us back to the Upper East Side, where we find a new generation of New York private school teens who are introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark. GOSSIP GIRL explores just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years. The series is based on the bestselling novels by Cecily von Ziegesar and the original show, developed by Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage, who are both executive producers on the new series.

Synopsis: In his first-ever stand-up comedy special, double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Ahir Shah discusses culture, politics, cigarettes, depression, adulthood, funerals, religion, children, love, and dead German sociologists. It is considerably funnier than it sounds. Featuring Shah’s signature blend of philosophical inquiry, personal examination, and sweet gags, Dots is his critically acclaimed stand-up show about the necessity, utility, and absence of certainty.

DOOM PATROL S3 (Max Original Drama Series)

Synopsis: “Doom Patrol” reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of superheroes: Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby) and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), all led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton). Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of superpowered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Season three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. Gwen Shamblin Lara recently died in a plane crash along with six other church leaders, including her husband, Joe Lara.

The comedy series continues to prove how seemingly trivial details of one’s day-to-day life – a cold cup of coffee, a stained shirt, a missing toothbrush – can precipitate a chain of misfortune to hilarious effect.

June 24, 2021 (Burbank, CA) – The Max Original GOSSIP GIRL series premiere will have a special broadcast on The CW Network on Friday, July 9 (8:00-9:30pm ET/PT), one day after its debut on HBO Max (Thursday, July 8). Following its broadcast on The CW, the episode will be available to stream on The CW’s free digital platforms (The CW app and CWTV.com).

GOSSIP GIRL explores just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years since The CW’s original series ended. The HBO Max series stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith.

Developed by showrunner Joshua Safran, a writer and executive producer on the original series, this extension of the pop culture classic takes us back to the Upper East Side finding a new generation of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark. The series is based on the bestselling novels by Cecily von Ziegesar and the original show, developed by Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage, which ran from 2007-2012 on The CW.

GOSSIP GIRL is produced by Fake Empire and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios. The series is written, executive produced and developed by Joshua Safran of Random Acts.
