September 8, 2022 – Paramount+ today released an exclusive sneak peek of a scene from an upcoming episode of the hit original animated comedy series STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS. The scene was revealed on-stage during today’s global live-streamed “Star Trek Day” celebration.
The sneak peek is of episode “Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus,” in which Boimler’s holodeck movie sequel tries to live up to the original, as seen in season one, which will be available to stream on Thurs., Oct. 13, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S.
The STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS conversation at today’s “Star Trek Day” celebration featured voice cast members Tawny Newsome, who also co-hosted the event, Noël Wells, and Paul F. September 8, 2022 – Paramount+ today announced that season one of original animated kids’ series STAR TREK: PRODIGY will have its mid-season return on Thursday, Oct. 27, exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers in the U.S., Latin America, Australia, South Korea, and the U.K. It will air later in the year in South Korea, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, and Switzerland. The announcement was made during the STAR TREK: PRODIGY conversation that took place at today’s global live-streamed “Star Trek Day” celebration. A mid-season return first-look clip was also revealed, featuring the U.S.S. Protostar crew and beloved character Murf as he completes his “metamurfosis.”
In addition, it was announced and revealed in the first look clip that Billy Campbell will be joining the season one voice cast with a recurring role. Campbell will reprise his “Star Trek: The Next Generation” role as Thadiun Okona, a roguish space captain who’s constantly outrunning trouble caused by his own tactics. When he runs into the young, impressionable Protostar crew, he’ll soon discover they are in more hot water than he is. Campbell joins previously announced recurring voice cast members Daveed Diggs (Commander Tysess), Jameela Jamil (Ensign Asencia), Jason Alexander (Doctor Noum) and Robert Beltran (Captain Chakotay).
“From early on in the writers’ room, we knew we wanted Captain Thadiun Okona to return and become a questionable guide to our impressionable crew,” said executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman. “It was so much fun to not only explore where Okona’s outrageous life has taken him in his later years, but to also work with Billy Campbell who effortlessly fell back into the role of Okona like he had never left.”
In the remaining STAR TREK: PRODIGY season one episodes, as the hopeful crew makes their way towards Starfleet, their dreams are threatened when they discover the U.S.S. Protostar harbors a weapon designed to tear the United Federation of Planets apart. To make matters worse, the real Vice Admiral Janeway is on a manhunt for the Protostar, eager to uncover what happened to her missing former First Officer Chakotay. With these two ships on a collision course and destruction on the horizon, the fate of the Alpha Quadrant hangs in the balance.

September 8, 2022 – Paramount+ today unveiled a behind-the-scenes set tour of its hit original series STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, led by series cast member Wilson Cruz. The special video, which debuted on-stage during today’s global live-streamed “Star Trek Day” celebration, provides fans with an exclusive look at the filming of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY’s fifth season in Toronto. Paramount+ also revealed a first look image from the new season, featuring Martin-Green, during the celebration.
In addition to Cruz, the behind-the-scenes video features series star Sonequa Martin-Green and more cast members including Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Blu del Barrio as well as series costume designer Anthony Tran. The tour also includes never-before-seen easter eggs on set, a cast member wardrobe fitting, and more from the upcoming season. Season five of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY is currently in production in Toronto, Canada.
This year’s “Star Trek Day” celebration is available for fans to live-stream worldwide for free at StarTrek.com/Day and on YouTube (Paramount+ and Star Trek Official pages), Facebook (@StarTrek), Twitter (@StarTrekonPPlus) and TikTok (@ParamountPlus). In season five, Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. September 8, 2022 – Paramount+ today unveiled a new teaser for the third and final season of the hit original series STAR TREK: PICARD, featuring a first look at the new starship, the U.S.S. Titan. The teaser was introduced by series star Patrick Stewart on-stage during today’s global live-streamed “Star Trek Day” celebration. In addition, it was announced that season three will debut on Thurs., Feb. 16, 2023, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. Following its premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode long final season will be available to stream weekly on Thursdays.

Today, AMC released the new trailer and key art for the highly anticipated series Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, which will debut on Sunday, October 2 at 10pm ET/9c immediately following The Walking Dead, with the first two episodes available on AMC+ that same night.
A sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a Black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat de Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.
Executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Halt and Catch Fire, Rectify), creator and showrunner Rolin Jones (Perry Mason, Friday Night Lights), along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice, the series’ first season consists of seven episodes. Acclaimed director Alan Taylor directs the first two episodes and is also an executive producer.
