The contemporary comedic remake of the 1997 Halloween classic “Under Wraps” follows three 12-year-old friends, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy, as they happen upon and awaken a mummy, which they affectionately name Harold. Together, they must rush to return him to his resting place before midnight on Halloween. Along the way, the team narrowly escapes a nefarious group of criminals who are determined to sell the mummy to the highest bidder. When Harold is inevitably captured, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy must band together to stand up to the criminals, face their fears and rescue their new—but rather “ancient”—friend.

Disney’s Magic Bake-Off: Season 1 Lead Sheet
Disney Channel and modern media company Tastemade team up to present “Disney’s Magic Bake-Off,” a one-hour unscripted competitive series for Kids 6-14 combining the wonder of baking with the ingenuity of young pastry chefs. Multitalented stars Dara Reneé (“High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) and Issac Ryan Brown (“Raven’s Home”) co-host the series and, along with Disneyland resort pastry chef Graciela “Gracie” Gomez serving as baking judge, guide kid contestants through a series of fun challenges and surprises as they create the most extraordinary cakes inspired by the magic of Disney.

In Disney Channel’s first-ever baking competition series, imagination rules and teamwork triumphs as three teams of two race against the clock to design a Disney-inspired cake, including classics such as “Star Wars,” “The Lion King,” “Toy Story,” “Descendants,” “Zombies” and more. There is never a dull moment in the kitchen as young pastry chefs from across the country, ages 10-15, work together to show off their artistry and culinary skills utilizing Tastemade’s signature recipe videos and an enchanted pantry filled with a wonderful world of ingredients and surprises. Whether they are a team comprised of siblings or best friends, these young bakers understand the importance of teamwork, trusting one another, turning a kitchen mishap into a baking masterpiece and, most importantly, having fun!

Each episode features two Tastemade challenge videos with easy-to-follow step-by-step techniques and recipes for kids 8-14. Just as these young chefs learn new recipes, tips and tricks from the featured videos, viewers can watch along and be inspired as well. Some of the techniques include how to make stained glass cookies, pastry cream from scratch, wafer paper fireworks and marshmallow Mickeys, to name a few.

Co-Hosts Reneé and Brown, along with Chef Gracie, guide the kid bakers through a series of fun challenges and unexpected twists — as well as lively dance breaks — all designed to elevate the contestants’ baking abilities, techniques and creativity to new culinary heights. Chef Gracie then evaluates the cakes on taste, presentation and creativity. Each episode declares a winning team to be named Disney Baking Champion! The winning recipe will become a featured Tastemade video, available on Disney Channel and Tastemade social media platforms.

Celebrity guests also join in the delicious fun throughout the season, including R2-D2, DJ D-Nice, Mallory James Mahoney (“BUNK’D”), Ava Kolker and Christian J. Simon (“Sydney to the Max”), and “Big City Greens” creators Chris and Shane Houton, along with baking influencers Jocelyn Adams, John Kanell, Maddy McGraw, Mia Starr and Rachel Fong.

Who says Friday the 13th is unlucky? In August, it’s going to be a FUN-lucky night on Disney Channel when “Spin,” “Descendants: The Royal Wedding” and “Disney’s Magic Bake-Off” premiere FRIDAY, AUG. 13, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. Additionally, the network TV premiere of Disney and Pixar’s animated blockbuster “Toy Story 4” at 6:15 p.m. EDT/PDT will usher in the epic night of fun.

Starting at 8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT is the DJ-powered Disney Channel Original Movie “Spin” starring Avantika (“Mira, Royal Detective,” “Diary of a Future President”) as Rhea, an Indian American teen who discovers her true passion for creating and producing beat-driven music that blends the textures of her South Asian culture and the world around her. Immediately following “Spin,” viewers are invited to “Descendants: The Royal Wedding,” the highly anticipated animated event of the summer that continues the story for “Descendants” franchise faves Mal and Ben on their wedding day and features a brand new song by the cast of “Descendants.” Immediately following is the debut of the new series, “Disney’s Magic Bake-Off,” an unscripted competitive baking show for kids 6-14 co-hosted by multitalented stars Dara Reneé (“High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) and Issac Ryan Brown (“Raven’s Home”).

Imagination rules and teamwork triumphs in “Disney’s Magic Bake-Off,” as three teams of two race against the clock to design a Disney-inspired cake utilizing Tastemade’s signature recipe videos and an enchanted pantry filled with a wonderful world of ingredients and surprises. Hosts Reneé and Brown, along with pastry chef Gomez, guide the kid bakers through a series of challenges, fun games, and unexpected twists, all designed to elevate the contestants’ baking abilities, techniques and creativity to new culinary heights. Each episode will declare a winning team to be named Disney Baking Champion. Co-hosts Reneé and Brown are Disney fan-favorites of audiences of all ages worldwide. Reneé is captivating viewers in her starring role as Kourtney in the Disney+ hit series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” set to debut season two this Spring. The versatile performer is also known for her breakout role in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Freaky Friday” as well as her recurring guest star role on ABC’s hit series, “black-ish.” Brown is best known for his starring role as Booker in Disney Channel’s hit series “Raven’s Home,” now airing its fourth season. As hosts of “Disney’s Magic Bake Off,” the powerhouse stars will keep viewers entertained and empower the kid contestants to have fun as they set out to become Disney Baking Champions.
