Airing this October on Discovery Channel are Series “Alaskan Bush People,” “Alaska: The Last Frontier,” “A Cut Above,” “Love Off the Grid,” and “Mysteries of the Abandoned.” Also Beginning this October is Egypt Month with Returning Themed Series & Episodes, alongside New Programs “Tut’s Toxic Tomb” and the King Tut 100 Year Anniversary Special “King Tut: A Century of Secrets.”

This October, Discovery Channel has many programs set to premiere. Including, Season 14 of “Alaskan Bush People” and all-new series “A Cut Above” both airing on 10/2, New Season of “Alaska: The Last Frontier” on 10/9, the hit series “Love Off the Grid” on 10/4, and Season 7b of “Mysteries of the Abandoned” on 10/12. The Kilcher family return to Discovery Channel as their lives as homesteaders outside of Homer, Alaska continue to be documented in this multiple Emmy-Award nominated series. The all-new season begins when Otto Kilcher is critically mauled by a steer during a severe snowstorm. With doctors unsure if he will recover, his wife Charlotte is left reeling with grief and the family overwhelmed with homestead work. Life has always been unpredictable yet rewarding on the homestead but now the Kilcher family is faced with a hard truth after Otto’s accident: the younger generation must step up and take on more responsibilities or the homestead will not survive. Discovery Channel and Science Channel will air the feed for NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test





Discovery Channel and Science Channel will air the feed for NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) in a live special, ASTEROID IMPACT LIVE: DART MISSION, airing on both networks Monday, September 26 from 6-7:30PM ET/PT. The special and its simulcast coverage will be of the NASA feed of DART as the mission undergoes its final leg of its journey to make a first attempt to alter the course of an asteroid by intentionally crashing a spacecraft into it. The spacecraft has a camera with a feed back to Earth that will provide live, stunning visuals to the Discovery and Science audiences during the mission’s approach to the two asteroids.

NASA’s DART Mission, built and managed for NASA by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, is humanity’s first attempt to change the motion of an asteroid in space by intentionally crashing a spacecraft into it. DART’s target asteroid is not a threat to Earth. However, it is the perfect testing ground to see if this method of asteroid deflection – known as the kinetic impactor technique – would be a viable way to protect our planet if an asteroid on a collision course with Earth were discovered in the future.

LOS ANGELES (September 7, 2022) – Gold miners are fighting for their survival when “Gold Rush” premieres for its 13th season on Friday, September 30 at 8 PM ET/PT and streaming on discovery+ the same day. As new miners flood the gold fields, the harsh reality of soaring fuel prices, supply chain issues and the price of gold being down plague mining operations. There’s no room for error as competition increases for the best land with the most gold and the Old Guard of gold miners are forced to adapt and prove they still have what it takes. But can they? In a race between the Greenhorns and the Old Guard, who will come out on top? All Gold miners are pushed to their limits. Only the smartest will prevail during these troubling times and hit a big pay day, while others fold and are sent packing.

In this season of “Gold Rush,” 27-year-old Parker Schnabel, now in his ninth season in the Klondike is out to continue his rise to the top.
