QTS Small Business Preservation Initiative Expands Grants to $250,000 with The Human Rights Campaign

SHOWTIME® Streams Over 50 Hours of LGBTQ+ Programming For Free

NEW YORK – June 1, 2022 – SHOWTIME today launches its largest Pride campaign ever with QUEER TO STAY, expanding the QTS small business preservation initiative with $250,000 in grants in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign, while offering over 50 hours of LGBTQ+ content for free sampling. In celebration of queer artists, SHOWTIME has recruited acclaimed pop singer-songwriter VINCINT for a new single released exclusively for SHOWTIME Pride 2022 and QUEER TO STAY. “Believer (For SHOWTIME Pride)” is available today on all digital streaming platforms HERE.

The QTS small business preservation initiative launched in 2020 to support and preserve 10 LGBTQIA+ businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with a focus on LGBTQ+ people of color, women and the transgender community. This year, the initiative expands to support at least 25 businesses, targeting businesses from geographically diverse LGBTQ+ communities For the first time ever, QUEER TO STAY will launch with a grassroots outreach campaign kicking off during Pride Month with presence in over 155 national Pride festival events spanning coast to coast including activations in Mobile, and Nashville, and at iconic festivals including San Francisco’s longest running LGBTQ+ film festival, Frameline. Additionally, an enhanced crowdfunding feature will enable consumers to support the initiative through the end of the year. QUEER TO STAY will accept applications from qualifying businesses at QueertoStay.org from Wednesday, June 1 until Saturday, August 31, 2022.

In honor of Pride Month, SHOWTIME will also release over 50 hours of iconic LGBTQ+ programming for free sampling throughout June. Select episodes from titles including THE L WORD, THE L WORD: GENERATION Q, QUEER AS FOLK, WORK IN PROGRESS, XY CHELSEA and more will be available across multiple SHOWTIME partner platforms. SHOWTIME DEBUTS TRAILER FOR SEASON THREE OF COUPLES THERAPY

Acclaimed Docu-Series With Dr. Orna Guralnik Returns Friday, May 13 at 8 PM ET/PT

LOS ANGELES – April 20, 2022 – SHOWTIME has released the trailer for the third season of COUPLES THERAPY, the acclaimed documentary series following world-renowned psychologist and psychoanalyst Dr. Orna Guralnik as she guides couples through real-life therapy sessions. The extended third season – split into two distinct runs – will premiere Friday, May 13th at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with the first nine episodes airing this spring and additional episodes airing at a later date. Episodes will air back-to-back each Friday at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET/PT for four weeks, with the mid-season finale airing June 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. All nine episodes will also release on demand and on streaming platforms for SHOWTIME subscribers on May 13.

COUPLES THERAPY brings viewers into therapy sessions with Dr. Guralnik, as she deftly guides couples through the struggles – and extraordinary breakthroughs – typically hidden behind closed doors. The third season features four new captivating couples working through intense conflicts: a Broadway dancer and preacher’s grandson struggle to escape an endless cycle of conflict after the birth of their daughter; the loss of intimacy in an open marriage forces a wife to reckon with her anger, while her husband resists acknowledging the part he plays; a mother of two must learn to hear her partner’s cries for help or risk losing her altogether; and a decades-long relationship tears at the emotional scar tissue caused by years of betrayal.

COUPLES THERAPY is from Sundance Award-winning filmmakers Josh Kriegman, Elyse Steinberg and Eli Despres, who serve as executive producers. Matt Parker and Maya Seidler are producers. The series is produced by Edgeline Films for SHOWTIME. Pax Wasserman and Maya Seidler serve as directors this season.

COUPLES THERAPY unlocks the hidden world of other people’s relationships by bringing viewers into the visceral experience of real-life therapy sessions.
