NEW YORK – September 21, 2022 – Food Network ordered a season three pick-up of its hit primetime series Alex vs America, it was announced today by Jane Latman, President, Home & Food Content and Streaming, Warner Bros. Discovery. Production is set to begin this month, with new episodes of Alex vs America slated to premiere in 2023. Season two of Alex vs America has reached more than 9.1M P2+ viewers, +44% vs. last season, with the series averaging .6 P18+ and .9 W18+ L3 ratings, an increase of +17% vs. the prior season for both demos. All episodes of Alex vs America are available to stream on discovery+.

“It’s been a dream come true to get back into the culinary arena with Food Network and the immeasurably talented Eric Adjepong to bring viewers a new season of Alex vs America,” said Alex Guarnaschelli. “I am so excited to take audiences along on this journey as I give my blood, sweat and tears – literally! – into every culinary battle, as a new group of chefs showcase their skills to try and defeat me ”

In each one-hour episode, acclaimed chef and Food Network staple Alex Guarnaschelli competes against three culinary superstars at the same time over two rounds. The competitors hail from across the United States but share the same mastery of a culinary genre, one that they have spent endless hours in their own kitchens perfecting and which will be tested in an effort to take down Alex. At the start of each battle, host Eric Adjepong presents Alex and the competitors with the culinary theme for their dishes. In the first round, the competitors can work together to select ingredients and even decide how much time goes on the clock. Each dish undergoes a blind tasting from two judges well-versed in the episodic theme, with only the top three chefs advancing to the next round and the least successful challenger sent home – even if it is Alex. The chef who wins the first round earns the right to select all the variables for the second culinary challenge, with the remaining chefs’ final plates determining who comes out on top, winning bragging rights and a cash prize.

She also gives cooking-novice Nathan a lesson in making Mussels with Saffron Cream. Ina then invites her dear friend Emily Blunt to the barn for some classic English Cream Scones with Jam and Clotted Cream to chat and reminisce about their last visit when Emily’s roast potatoes became an internet sensation. The duo team up for a perfect Alfresco dinner of Emily’s family favorite Turkey Bolognaise and Ina’s Caesar Salad with Parmesan Croutons. Get ready for an adventure with the trailer and key art of Hulu’s latest eight-episode food competition series “Chefs vs. Wild.”

Chefs and survivalists will go head-to-head to impress renowned chef and adventurer Kiran Jethwa and wild foods expert Valerie Segrest who will judge participants on their ability to turn foraged ingredients from British Columbia’s coast into the best five-star meal starting September 26th! Two episodes will premiere each week, with the finale on October 17th.

SYNOPSIS: Reaching the peak of the culinary world has never been this demanding. In each episode of “Chefs vs. Wild,” two different world class chefs will be dropped into the wilderness where they’ll embark on a grueling and unprecedented mission – survive and forage enough wild ingredients to create a restaurant worthy, five-star meal. Episodes will culminate in the chefs going head-to-head in a “wilderness kitchen,” using their foraged ingredients and ingenuity to create savory dishes and, ultimately, impress the judges.

Hosts: The series will be hosted by renowned chef and adventurer Kiran Jethwa. Jethwa will also serves as judge, alongside wild foods expert Valerie Segrest.
