Los Angeles, CA – OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced that the annual “OWN For The Holidays” tradition heats-up with two original holiday movies. “The Great Holiday Bake War,” starring LeToya Luckett and Finesse Mitchell, debuts on Saturday, December 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and “A Christmas Fumble,” starring Eva Marcille and Devale Ellis, premieres on Saturday, December 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN. True to OWN’s annual holiday movie tradition, each original movie celebrates and honors the deeper meaning of the season — giving to others and putting friends and family first.

“The Great Holiday Bake War” premieres Saturday, December 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Starring LeToya Luckett (“Brianna”) and Finesse Mitchell (“Julian”)

When former pastry school rivals Julian (Mitchell) and Brianna (Luckett) meet years later in a TV baking competition, the sparks – and the flour – fly! Each has their own plans for the winning prize money, but only one can win…unless they work together. While Brianna struggles to support her daughter Willow (Naomi Sogbein) and Julian longs to escape his mother’s shadow, they learn that collaboration can create a new recipe for success – and love.

“The Great Holiday Bake War” is produced for OWN by MarVista Entertainment in association with Harpo Films. However, Nicole fails to disclose that she and Jordan were once boyfriend and girlfriend — a conflict of interest that could end her own hopes of being made partner at her firm. To make matters worse, Nicole’s efforts to rehabilitate Jordan’s image are constantly undermined by Jordan’s shallow entertainment reporter fiancée.

STUDIO CITY, CA – September 22, 2022 – Hallmark Media celebrates 13 years of Christmas programming with 40 all-new, original movie premieres across Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The perennial popularity of the networks’ annual holiday programming events has catapulted Hallmark Channel to the top of the ratings, with the network becoming the most-watched entertainment cable network in Q4 among Women 18+ for eight consecutive years; among Women 25-54 for six straight years and among Households and Total Viewers for five years in a row.*

This year, the pop culture phenomenon returns with round-the-clock holiday programming starting Friday, October 21, when Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas” and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ “Miracles of Christmas” kick off the yuletide season. That same day, Hallmark Movies Now, the company’s standalone streaming service, kicks off its annual holiday celebration “Movies & Mistletoe” that will offer subscribers more than 150 Christmas movies with new content becoming available each week through the end of the year.

Viewers can look forward to seeing their favorite stars returning in all-new holiday movies, including, Lacey Chabert, who stars in a record-breaking twelfth Christmas movie for Hallmark this year, Alison Sweeney, Andrew Walker, Ashley Williams, Benjamin Ayres, Brennan Elliott, Brooks Darnell, Erin Cahill, Holly Robinson Peete, Jonathan Bennett, Kristoffer Polaha, Luke Macfarlane, Marilu Henner, Nikki DeLoach, Paul Campbell, Rachel Boston, Ryan Paevey, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Taylor Cole, Tyler Hynes, Victor Webster, Will Kemp and more.

Hallmark is thrilled to welcome exciting and legendary new talent helping to make this year’s lineup merry and bright, such as award-winning actress Marlo Thomas, Ann-Margret, Ellen Travolta, Greta Scacchi, Kara Wang, Grammy Award-winning R&B artist Ledisi, Emmy Award winner Lynn Whitfield, Margaret Colin, Moira Kelly, Mykelti Williamson, Reginald VelJohnson, Reshma Shetty, Stephen Tobolowsky, Tamala Jones, Tia Carrere and Yael Grobglas, among many others that will light up the screen.

In the spirit of the network’s 2022 ratings hit “The Wedding Veil” trilogy, “Three Wise Men and a Baby” brings together three of Hallmark’s most popular leading men, Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker. The trio stars as brothers who get the surprise of their lives when they are forced to work together to care for a baby over the holidays. As they slowly get the hang of things, they find themselves on unexpected journeys of self-discovery and begin to rebuild their relationships as brothers, as well as the damaged romantic and professional relationships in their respective lives… all while rediscovering their love of Christmas.

Continuing the tradition of working with top recording artists, this year’s original movie premieres will feature special songs celebrating the sounds of the season. “When I Think of Christmas,” starring Shenae Grimes-Beech, Niall Matter and Beth Broderick, features the song of the same name co-written by six-time Grammy(R) Award winner Amy Grant, Matt Maher and Jason Ingram. R&B recording artist Ledisi stars in “All Saints Christmas” and performs her original song “Home on Christmas” as well as “Be There for Christmas,” while other tracks from her album It’s Christmas will be featured in the movie. Singer-songwriter Tenille Townes, who appears in “Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas,” the fifth installment of the franchise starring Holland Roden and Tyler Hynes from Executive Producer Blake Shelton, also performs a cover version of Shelton’s song “Time for Me to Come Home.” “Hanukkah on Rye,” starring Yael Grobglas and Jeremy Jordan, features the hit song “Light” by Grammy(R) Award winner Lisa Loeb, who will also appear in a cameo role. “A Fabled Holiday” starring Brooke D’Orsay and Ryan Paevey, features a cameo by renowned violinist and dancer Lindsey Stirling, who performs “Joy to the World” off her upcoming Christmas album, Snow Waltz.

On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, viewers can celebrate the holidays with new originals inspired by two beloved Hallmark brands. “The Gift of Peace,” starring Nikki DeLoach and Brennan Elliott, is the first movie produced under DaySpring, the highly popular faith-based brand and “The Holiday Stocking,” starring Nadine Ellis, Tamala Jones, BJ Britt, Karon Riley and Mykelti Williamson is the third installment of the critically acclaimed Mahogany banner and first Christmas movie.

Hallmark’s commitment to creating heartwarming holiday movies that offer something for everyone continues. On Hallmark Channel, the rich and diverse culture of Chinese Americans is at the heart of two movies, “A Big Fat Family Christmas” and “Christmas at the Golden Dragon.” “Hanukkah on Rye” is a new story set against the backdrop of The Festival of Lights while “Holiday Heritage” starring Lyndie Greenwood, Brooks Darnell and Holly Robinson Peete, marks the network’s first-ever movie celebrating Kwanzaa. “The Holiday Sitter” features Jonathan Bennett and George Krissa as the first lead LGBTQ+ couple in a holiday movie. On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, “Our Italian Christmas Memories” starring Sarah Power and Beau Bridges is a touching tale about Italian siblings who look to a family tradition as they try to jog the memory of their grandfather struggling with dementia.

Hallmark Media extends the celebration beyond the screen with numerous ways for viewers to bring the Hallmark holiday magic to life. Hallmark Media’s streaming service is getting in on the fun as well, with a unique, new promotion with M&M’s(R) where spending $5 on select M&M’S(R) products will provide two free weeks of Hallmark Movies Now. Fans will also be able to enjoy the Hallmark Channel Christmas season with in-person activations, such as the network’s sponsorship of Enchant, the world’s largest Christmas light maze and village, and other festive opportunities throughout the season.

All throughout the year, Hallmark Media’s Hallmark Movie Checklist App serves as the ultimate holiday viewing guide, allowing users to set reminders, watch trailers, and keep apprised of Hallmark’s linear schedule. An exciting new development in the app is the Holiday Lens, an augmented reality experience in which users can interact with festive holiday features. As the go-to destination for the latest information and engaging features related to “Countdown to Christmas,” HallmarkChannel.com will once again host multiple sweepstakes and game experiences. HALLMARK MEDIA INKS MULTI-PICTURE OVERALL DEAL WITH ALISON SWEENEY

SWEENEY EXECUTIVE PRODUCES AND STARS IN ‘A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS VILLAGE’ WITH LUKE MACFARLANE AND SPECIAL GUEST STAR MARLO THOMAS PREMIERING DURING HALLMARK CHANNEL’S ‘COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS’

STUDIO CITY, CA – September 19, 2022 – Hallmark Media and Alison Sweeney (“The Wedding Veil” trilogy) have agreed to a multi-picture overall deal, it was announced today.

“Alison Sweeney has been an incredible creative partner for us over the years – both on screen as well as behind the camera as a producer,” began Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Media. “She’s long been a fan favorite and we can’t wait to continue our work together as we bring new stories to life.”

“I am thrilled to continue to work with Hallmark as they continue to support my work as an actress and as a producer,” Sweeney remarked. “I’m very proud of our Christmas movie and excited for the future projects to come!”

As part of Sweeney’s deal she is starring in “A Magical Christmas Village,” which she also executive produces, with Luke Macfarlane (“Moriah’s Lighthouse”) and special guest star Marlo Thomas. The movie premieres this year during Hallmark Channel’s annual, top-rated “Countdown to Christmas” programming event.

Sweeney plays Summer, an architect living in a small town where she’s raising her young daughter Chloe (Maesa Nicholson, “Dying for Chocolate: A Curious Caterer Mystery”). When her mother Vivian (Thomas) finds herself in need of a place to live, her orderly life becomes a little less so after inviting Vivian to move in with them during this transition. Upon arrival, Vivian sets up an heirloom, miniature Christmas village resembling their town, and tells Chloe it grants Christmas wishes. As Chloe begins setting up the figurines, real-life events seem to mimic the scenes she creates, including Summer’s chance meeting with Ryan (Macfarlane), a newcomer to their community. The two quickly learn they share much in common and as they spend more time together, Ryan slowly helps Summer learn to open her hear to love again. Meanwhile, living under the same roof gives Summer and Vivian the chance to mend fences as the holiday nears and, perhaps with a little help from the magic of the Christmas village, the family will be brought closer together.

Sweeney is an award-winning actress, producer, director, content supplier, TV host and author who is a constant source of inspiration with her balance of career and her focus on family, health and wellness. Sweeney currently stars and executive produces rom-com television movies for a global audience. No stranger to the camera, Sweeney began her acting at age four and at age 16, she joined the cast of “Days of Our Lives,” playing the Emmy-nominated role of Sami Brady for 21+ years. She also hosted 13 seasons of NBC’s inspirational series “The Biggest Loser,” has hosted numerous live television specials and made many guest-starring appearances on popular television series and true crime podcasts. Sweeney serves as an Ambassador for Stand Up 2 Cancer and American Humane Association and is a member of the Entertainment Council for Feeding America.

“A Magical Christmas Village” is from Looking Glass Productions, LLC. The executive producers are Sweeney, Craig Baumgarten, Shawn Williamson, Jamie Goehring and Melissa Salmons. Kevin Leslie serves as producer. Jason Furukawa directed from a script by Salmons.

Sweeney is represented by UTA, Vault Entertainment and Wonder Street.
