DC’s First-Ever Batman Preschool Series Incorporates a “Hero” Curriculum, Teaching Young Viewers about Heroism, Friendship, Teamwork and Self-Confidence

Cartoon Network and HBO Max announced today “Batwheels” will officially zoom onto television screens beginning Monday, Oct. 17. The first seven episodes will premiere on Cartoon Network’s Cartoonito preschool block at 9:00 a.m., before streaming the following day on Tuesday, Oct. 18 on the Cartoonito hub on HBO Max. A new series trailer was also revealed today.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, “Batwheels” marks DC’s first-ever Batman preschool series, offering young viewers a high-speed, vibrant CGI-animated iteration of the Caped Crusader. Little ones and their families will ride along with an amazing team of super-vehicles – Bam (the Batmobile), Bibi (the Batgirl Cycle), Redbird (Robin’s racecar), Buff (the Bat-Truck), and Batwing (the Bat-plane) – as they help Batman, Batgirl, and Robin keep the streets of Gotham City safe. Whether it’s facing down the Legion of Zoom or one of Gotham City’s notorious Super-Villains, the Batwheels will use their incredible gadgets and creative teamwork to save the day.

Underneath the superhero adventures, “Batwheels” will teach children about what it means to be a hero through its unique “Hero” curriculum. The curriculum aligns with Cartoonito’s Humancentric Learning framework that encourages kids to become the best version of themselves. Every “Batwheels” episode will demonstrate a different character strength – self-awareness, concern for others, perseverance, and courage, among others – in overcoming personal and interpersonal challenges and will model how heroes contribute to the greater good.

“Batwheels” will also showcase the value of friendship and teamwork and illuminate the rewards of these skillsets. Moreover, the series will teach children that while each vehicle has super abilities, the more important capacities that fuel their heroism are rooted in their intrinsic character strengths, knowing how to be a good friend and ability to work as a team.

Adam Reed is the author of the award-winning children’s book Reindeer in Here, on which the new animated special is based. Launched in 2017, the book sold out on Amazon in under two hours and became an instant Amazon #1 new release and best-seller. In just a few short years, “Reindeer in Here” has become the most awarded Christmas tradition brand of all time, having won 12 major awards, including Creative Child magazine’s Book of the Year, a gold Mom’s Choice Award and the prestigious National Parenting Center seal of approval. Adult Swim Reports 57% Increase In L3 Post-Premiere Viewership, Over 100,000 Fans Attend #WORMAGEDDON Immersive Builds

As the new season of Rick and Morty unleashes around the world, fans have turned out in droves to celebrate Adult Swim’s Emmy(R) award-winning animated comedy. Beginning today, fans in the U.S. and select global territories will be able to stream the season six premiere episode “Solaricks” via Adult Swim’s YouTube channel HERE until September 27.

Viewership in the U.S. continues to grow since the September 4 premiere. After only three days post-premiere, the first episode of season six of Rick and Morty saw +57% growth in delivery with delayed viewing three days after its premiere, bringing its overall delivery to 1,033,000 viewers (Persons 2+).

· The premiere episode saw similar gains across key adult viewers, with Adults 18-24 up +55% (90K), 18-34 +60% (335K), 18-49 up +65% (713K), and 25-54 +65% (731K). These delayed viewing gains skewed slightly higher with males, but even female audiences grew by almost +50%.

· Focusing on Total Day for Sunday, September 4, across all cable, the Rick and Morty premiere maintained its #1 watched for the day claim among young adults 18-24 and 18-34, while trailing in second behind HBO Prime’s linear premiere play of House of the Dragon among adults 18-49. Among adults 25-54, Rick and Morty was in the Top 5 telecasts (#4) of the day, excluding sports programming. *

Debuting in 112 countries in 38 languages, Rick and Morty also captured substantial international viewership. Rick and Morty has been the best performing animated show on HBO Max in Europe since the platform launched. The series is also in the top 10 best performing series on HBO Max in Europe in 2022. HBO Max in Latin America reported a Rick and Morty viewership growth of over 500% in the week following the debut of the season six premiere episode on the service.

Yesterday marked the official conclusion of the global Rick and Morty #WORMAGEDDON immersive fan experience which galvanized fans both online and in-person to partake in a special “living episode” of their favorite show. Since the first build was revealed in Mexico City on August 20, over 100,000 fans showed up in-person to one or more of the 14 unique scenes that were spotted on six continents.

Additionally, fans at home were also able to follow along with the global adventure via a series of custom animated shorts about the origins of #WORMAGEDDON including [A Citadel Secret], [A Journey to Earth], [Threat Level: Wormageddon], and [Wormageddon: Final Showdown] alongside original videos featuring each build. As of today, the original #WORMAGEDDON video content has received a combined total of over 75 million global views and counting.

Disney Branded Television’s Peabody Award-winning “The Owl House” debuts the first of its final specials SATURDAY, OCT. 15 (9:00 p.m. EDT/PDT), with a simulcast on Disney Channel and Disney XD. Created and executive produced by Dana Terrace (Disney’s “DuckTales”), the 44-minute specials follow Luz’s journey to save the Boiling Isles from the evil Emperor Belos and the unpredictable Collector. The following two installments will premiere in 2023.

Picking up immediately following the events of the season two finale, the first special, “Thanks to Them,” finds Luz and her friends stuck in the human realm and willing to go to daring lengths to return to the Boiling Isles.

“The Owl House” follows Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who stumbles upon a portal to a magical realm where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and a tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda’s apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting. Synopsis | Magic has finally returned to Equestria thanks to Sunny Starscout and her new friends! The Pegasi can fly and the Unicorns can use levitation again… and the Earth Ponies have activated their own special magic for the very first time in history. It’s a whole new world! Which is exhilarating… but, well, also a little scary and strange. And now that Sunny is an Alicorn with powers, there’s a lot to figure out.

My Little Pony: Make Your Mark will explore the rules of this growing magic while the Mane 5 get to know themselves on their own journeys of self-discovery. Living together for the first time, the ponies must navigate a new normal living in a society that has recently undergone a massive, life-changing shift. The relatability of this new reality is the perfect springboard to tell relatable, fresh stories that will appeal to this generation of emotionally tuned-in viewers and all of the things they are going through in a world that has been forever changed.

And as the Mane 5 explore the rules of magic and discover about themselves in the process, the series will focus in on the existing lands of Maretime Bay, Bridlewood, and Zephyr Heights. It will delve deeper into their individual backstories, their hobbies and jobs (whether it be sheriff, smoothie-cart owner, or detective princess), familial relationships (Pipp & Zipp’s sisterhood), and journeys to find exactly what makes each of them “sparkle.”

A diverse and adorable supporting bunch of Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies who are all adjusting to life with magic in their own ways make up a colorful cast. But a typical episode might center around the Mane 5 helping one another with a magical mystery, juggling responsibilities and friendships, or learning more about each other’s different species’ cultural customs. All while resisting the plan of an evil villain who hopes to steal it all away from them.
