In 1999, when a home intruder shot wealthy 75-year-old businessman Steve Beard, police arrested Tracey Tarlton, a close friend of the victim’s much younger wife, Celeste Beard. Although initially arrested as the sole perpetrator, Tracey stunned prosecutors right before her trial by claiming that she and Celeste were more than close friends; they were lovers. Tracey revealed that she shot Steve to protect Celeste, unaware that Celeste’s claims of Steve’s abuse were lies. In light of the alleged affair, authorities questioned who really orchestrated the crime: was it Tracey or Celeste herself? A new “20/20” features ABC News correspondent John Quiñones’ interview with Celeste, who denies the affair and still claims she is not to blame for the shooting of her fourth husband. She tells her side of the story and discusses how she feels about Tracey, who served only 10 years after she struck a plea bargain and agreed to testify and describe Celeste’s alleged involvement.

The episode also includes interviews with Jennifer Beard and Kristina Fritz, Celeste’s twin daughters from her first marriage. They open up about their mother’s manipulation tactics, their relationship with Steve, and their key role in her conviction. Additional interviews include Nancy Hall, Celeste’s mother; Dick DeGuerin, Celeste’s defense attorney; Steve’s friends and colleagues; and key law enforcement officials. “20/20” airs on Friday, Nov. 18 (9:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC, next day on Hulu.

ABC News’ “20/20” is an award-winning primetime program anchored by David Muir and Amy Robach. A proven leader as a long-form newsmagazine for over 40 years, “20/20” features unforgettable, character-driven true-crime mysteries, exclusive newsmaker interviews, hard-hitting investigative reports and in-depth coverage of high-profile stories. Janice Johnston is the executive producer. The two-hour “20/20” events air Fridays from 9:01-11:00 p.m. EST on ABC and are available to stream on ABC News digital platforms and Hulu.

ABC News Studios partners with Rock’n Robin Productions for “20/20 Presents Black Panther: In Search of Wakanda,” the one-hour program hosted by “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts exploring the evolution of Black Panther from the comic emerging in the 1960s to the film the world fell in love with in 2018. Roberts sits down with director Ryan Coogler to discuss the highly anticipated sequel to the Marvel Studios’ phenomenon, “Black Panther,” and how the film honors the legacy of Chadwick Boseman. EGOT winner and moderator of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg, exclusively interviews Boseman’s widow, Simone Ledward Boseman. In homage to King T’Challa and one week in advance of the film’s premiere, the program features an exclusive sneak peek of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” “20/20 Presents Black Panther: In Search of Wakanda” airs FRIDAY, NOV. 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC and stream the next day on Hulu.

With “Black Panther”’s release in 2018, Afrofuturism – the incorporation of black history and culture in science fiction film – was ushered into the cultural spotlight across the world. “Black Panther: In Search of Wakanda” will travel to Africa to see first-hand many of the influences that inspired the  filmmakers when building the world of Wakanda. The hour also takes a  look at the expanding world in the new film with the addition of other cultures.

In the special, Oscar® winner Ruth Carter discusses her process of research, inspiration and execution of her award-winning costume designs, composer Ludwig Göransson talks about the authenticity that inspired his Academy and GRAMMY® Award-winning “Black Panther” score and the cultural impact of the music, and Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler opens up about creating the world of Wakanda. The special also includes interviews with the film’s stars including Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira and Wakanda newcomers Mabel Cadena and Tenoch Huerta Meja.

“20/20 Presents Black Panther: In Search of Wakanda” is a co-production of ABC News Studios and Rock’n Robin Productions. Janice Johnston and Catherine McKenzie serve as executive producers.

Peter and Quee Choo “QC” Chadwick seemed to live a blissful life in Newport Beach, California, with their three sons, until 2012, when Peter shockingly murdered QC. After posting bail, Peter routinely showed up for court proceedings until he vanished in January 2015. Years later and thousands of miles away in Pátzcuaro, Mexico, a mysterious ex-pat fled the small town after he was involved in a car crash resulting in a local woman’s death. A new “20/20” reports on the U.S. Marshals Service’s five-year search for Peter Chadwick and how one phone call eventually led authorities to him.

The two-hour episode features ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff’s exclusive interviews with the family of Claudia Soto, the friend of Peter’s who died in the car crash in Mexico; Adriana Segovia, Claudia’s sister and car crash survivor; Esperanza Segovia, Claudia’s mother; as well as other Patzuaro locals who knew Peter. With aid from the U.S. Marshals, ABC News obtained exclusive audio of Peter Chadwick in which he sheds light on his time on the run in Mexico, as well as never-before-heard audio of the first call between Peter and his oldest son after his capture. “20/20” also features interviews with Newport Beach police and U.S. Marshals involved in the search, including Newport Beach Police Department public information officer Jen Manzella, who started a podcast that reignited the case; neighbors and friends of the Chadwick family from California; and award-winning author John Scherber, who provides insight into the ex-pat experience. “20/20” airs on Friday, Oct. 21 (9:01–11:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC, next day on Hulu.
