Mecum’s auction in Harrisburg will offer an estimated 1,200 outstanding collector vehicles, including vintage cars, classic cars, exotic and supercars, luxury cars, muscle cars, Hot Rods, pickup trucks, brass era cars and motorcycles. A few of the main attractions and star cars crossing the block during MotorTrend’s coverage includes: a 1998 Volvo V70 Wagon used in AMC’s hit shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul driven by the character Gus Fring in the second, third and fourth seasons of Breaking Bad as well as the third, fourth, fifth and sixth seasons of Better Call Saul; a 1985 Lamborghini Countach LP500S Quattrovalvole that is one of 321 produced between 1982-85 and has a metric odometer that reads just over 11,000 miles; a marvelously restored 1950 GMC 5-Window Pickup boasting a 228 CI 6-cylinder engine, which is the same powerplant that moves a 1930 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup that has received the Model A Restorers Club MARC of Excellence and Master Restoration awards, the Model A Ford Club of America Award of Excellence for the Restored Class, an AACA National First Prize in 2007, and an AACA Senior Grand National First Prize in 2009.

Among the other featured vehicles consigned to the Mecum Harrisburg 2022 auction is a selection from the Dan The Oil Man Collection, including a Bloomington Gold Certified and multiple-time NCRS Top Flight-winning 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe. Also from the collection is a factory R-code 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback with the Drag Pack and featuring a matching-numbers 428 Super Cobra Jet V-8 engine and a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Two vintage Plymouths will be offered from the Dan The Oil Man Collection as well, including a 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda with an A833 4-speed manual transmission and a 1970 Plymouth GTX that’s finished in FK5 Deep Burnt Orange Metallic with a very rare V1G Gator-grain vinyl top and powered by a matching-numbers 440 6-BBL V-8 engine and an A833 4-speed manual transmission.

RUNS GOOD (wt) is a new series for a new generation of car lovers. Drifters, professional drivers and mechanics Dan Brockett, Shea Seefeldt and Aaron Parker are on a mission in search of redemption for purpose-built project cars. These vehicles have sat unused on cinder blocks in backyards and side yards, but this trio is working hard to save them, and ultimately taking each car to race tracks and events in search of fulfilling the potential the prior owners could never achieve.

ROADWORTHY RESCUES (wt)

Thousands of great American cars are slowly rotting away in hidden places across the country. Most of these vehicles are long forgotten relics that are destined never to drive down another road. Plus, Rob does some important work dispelling an urban myth about his first car, the Ford Pinto.

“Electric Executives”, the second of the two-episode premiere, finds the TOP GEAR AMERICA hosts in Seattle where some of the biggest companies in the world are headquartered. Many of these large companies are taking a more ecofriendly approach to business these days. So, the guys decide to imagine what a high-powered, environmentally conscious Seattle based executive might drive. After some important testing at the track with The Stig, Dax jumps in the all-electric 2021 Porsche Taycan, Rob selects the Polestar 2 made by Volvo, and Jethro rebels with the gas powered Rolls Royce Ghost plus an additional business transportation power move for an important meeting downtown.

The combination creates a premier standalone global media and entertainment company, Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc., which will begin trading on the Nasdaq with the start of trading on Monday, April 11, under the new ticker symbol “WBD.”

Under terms of the agreement, which was structured as a Reverse Morris Trust transaction, at close AT&T received $40.4 billion in cash and WarnerMedia’s retention of certain debt. Additionally, shareholders of AT&T received 0.241917 shares of WBD for each share of AT&T common stock they held at close. As a result, AT&T shareholders received 1.7 billion shares of WBD, representing 71% of WBD shares on a fully diluted basis. Discovery’s existing shareholders own the remainder of the new company. In addition to their new shares of WBD common stock, AT&T shareholders continue to hold the same number of shares of AT&T common stock they held immediately prior to close.

(Los Angeles) – MotorTrend will air 24 hours of MECUM GLENDALE 2022 auction action live on MotorTrend TV and MotorTrend+, the leading subscription streaming service dedicated entirely to the motoring world, starting on Thursday, March 17 from 2-8 PM ET. Live coverage continues Friday, March 18 from 2-8 PM ET on MotorTrend+ (with an encore presentation at 8 PM ET on MotorTrend TV) then returns to both MotorTrend TV and MotorTrend+ on Saturday, March 19 from 2-8 PM ET. Mecum’s four-day auction in Glendale will offer an estimated 1,500 outstanding collector vehicles. A few of the main attractions and star cars crossing the block during MotorTrend’s live coverage include: a 2006 Ford GT previously owned by Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway; a Ferrari Classiche-certified 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4; a 1929 Duesenberg Model J Murphy Convertible Coupe; a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with just 182 miles; a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback; and many, many more incredible cars.

The auction will also present several private collections including The Mile High Collection, featuring the aforementioned Ford GT, and the Hooked on Vettes Collection with 13 desirable Corvettes including a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster (one of four in black). The Mecum auction in Glendale, Ariz., takes place from Wednesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 19, 2022, at State Farm Stadium.

On MotorTrend TV, 6.3 million people watched – the largest TV audience ever for a Mecum Kissimmee auction and a viewership increase of 76-percent versus last year’s January 2021 telecast on NBC Sports Network.

Additionally, the MotorTrend TV and Discovery MECUM KISSIMMEE 2022 simulcast was the #1 non-sports telecast on cable for Men 25-54 on Saturday, January 15 from 2-4 PM ET. MotorTrend TV viewers watched MECUM KISSIMMEE 2022 on average for nearly three hours (2:48) with new viewers of the network making up more than half of the reach.

This season, premiering Friday, January 28, 2022, on MotorTrend+, FASTEST CARS IN THE DIRTY SOUTH picks up in the first episode, “Build Back Better”, after a grueling racing season last year left Team 256 fragmented with little hope for repair. In the race against the Memphis 10, Malcolm Storey stepped up to lead the team to victory after a fight broke out and members of the 256 left the track including Malone. A power struggle within the team followed suit, causing Malone’s former partner Brant Arnold to literally set his contract ablaze. Malone now works to pull the team together again by reconciling with certain teammates while letting others walk. Notoriety for Team 256 is spreading across America. Now, Dodge is challenging Malone to a grudge shootout on Woodward Avenue in Detroit. He’ll go up against social media superstars to see who can build the fastest Hellcat with a stock drivetrain and $10,000 for upgrades. Meanwhile, Storey and his Outcasts are looking for their own way to prove their strength and break out of the south when they get called out by Jay Payso, a grudge maven who claims he and his team are the fastest cars in Motor City. Will Team Outcasts finally come together as a formidable force, or will this race be the final nail in the coffin?

Eric Malone is a master mechanic with a deep passion for racing. If he’s not roaring down a track, then he’s buried beneath a car’s hood tuning getting the best out of an engine. Early on Malone gained a passion for rebuilding engines and racing. His talent for fixing broken motors at the track gained him a job with renowned Alabama drag racer Kenny Ford, the owner of Muscles Shoals’ Performance Torque Converters (PTC). While working for Kenny, Eric paved the way for legal street racing on closed tracks and built a reputation for having one of the fastest cars in the south. Today the best race car builders and grudge racers around Muscle Shoals compete to be on Malone’s Team 256.
