Travel Channel host Don Wildman is on a mission to uncover our world’s dark history in “Buried Worlds with Don Wildman.”

NEW YORK (May 6, 2020) – In “Buried Worlds with Don Wildman,” the iconic Travel Channel host takes his thirst for adventure into terrifying new territory to explore mankind’s darkest mysteries. In his newest series premiering on Travel Channel on Monday, June 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Wildman is on a mission of a more cryptic sort, heading to remote regions of Peru, Haiti, Bulgaria and beyond – visiting the dark chasms and caverns of the paranormal and supernatural, tracking alleged lingering ghosts, devilish demons, vampires and witches burned at the stake. His global quest to explore the world’s most terrifying mysteries will consist of seven hour-long episodes and a two-hour special event finale airing on Monday, July 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

As he joins in taboo rituals, comes face-to-face with paranormal entities and witnesses deadly practices, Wildman is seeking out the darkest legends in the world and experiencing them for himself. His adventures take him to the Virginia woods for a harrowing encounter with demonic spirits and to Poland and Germany to hunt for powerful occult objects hidden by the Nazis. Later in the season, Wildman’s journey takes him to the coast of Peru – the site of the world’s largest mass human sacrifice, never revealed before on TV – and comes face-to-face with an ancient tribal god.
“‘Buried Worlds’ is a quest that flips the switch on the paranormal and the supernatural, and sheds new light on the dark origin of legends and myths,” says Wildman. “And I investigate those legends and myths first-hand, traveling to their sources in some very surprising places.”

In the premiere episode, Wildman begins his adventure by traveling to Eastern Europe to discover the truth behind the haunting stories of vampires that still linger and torment rural Bulgarian towns. He joins a group of active vampire hunters as they investigate an abandoned village terrorized by vampires and uncover what looks to be the tomb of one of them. He continues his journey by diving into the history of these beings, not only in Bulgaria, but in Hungary as well. As Wildman discovers the dark past of vampires and witches, he is given the opportunity to contact the spirits of those who have passed, with the help of a modern-day witch. To bring his adventure full circle, he explores the dark truth of the infamous Count Dracula.

Additional episodes inside the hidden horrors and deadly dangers of these unseen worlds include the following:
“Voodoo’s Dark Magic” – Premieres Monday, June 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT

“Curse of the Druids” – Premieres Monday, July 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT

LOCKDOWN WITH TRAVEL CHANNEL’S NEW FOUR-PART MINISERIES “GHOST ADVENTURES: QUARANTINE,” BEGINNING THURSDAY, JUNE 11 AT 9 P.M. ET/PT

The ‘Ghost Adventures’ Crew Confronts Frightening Paranormal Phenomena While Self-Isolating Inside Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum
In a First-Ever Moment, Zak Bagans Opens the Infamous Dybbuk Box
In the terrifying “Ghost Adventures: Quarantine” miniseries, Zak Bagans and the “Ghost Adventures” team isolate themselves inside his Las Vegas Haunted Museum during the COVID-19 pandemic.
NEW YORK (May 4, 2020) – It’s widely believed that supernatural entities feed off of fear, and the greater the fear, the more dangerous spirits become. Travel Channel’s special four-part miniseries “Ghost Adventures: Quarantine,” premiering Thursday, June 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and airing weekly through July 2, tests the theory firsthand, as Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley quarantine themselves for two weeks inside Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum in Las Vegas. In a frightening expose filmed entirely by the guys without a production crew, the team – maintaining proper social distance practices amid the coronavirus pandemic – discover how heightened levels of fear in this unprecedented time impact the dark energies attached to the world’s most haunted objects. With no recent visitors to the museum due to the closure, Bagans and the team are the first people in weeks to encounter these powerful paranormal forces and face them head on. And in a highly anticipated moment, Bagans finally opens the infamous Dybbuk Box to investigate its sinister influence.

“This is by far the most intense investigation and in-depth experiment we have ever done, considering the whole tone of doing a lockdown within a pandemic lockdown…it’s as raw and terrifying as it gets,” said Bagans. “Fear gives entities power, and fear is now permeating our society on a scale we haven’t experienced before. We are witnessing the amount of spirit activity greatly increase and we need to understand how this unprecedented situation affects things on a supernatural level. This led us to finally open the Dybbuk Box – a moment that will live with me forever.”

Each hour-long episode, shot entirely by the foursome, will focus on the most menacing areas and artifacts within the museum, including the Devil’s Rocking Chair, Peggy the Doll and the notorious Dybbuk Box – a terrifyingly haunted object believed to curse those who come in contact with it. Determined to find out if paranormal activity is magnified by the fear surrounding the pandemic, the team deploys new investigative tactics and scientific devices in their hunt for answers. With this, in a long-awaited moment, Zak Bagans opens the Dybbuk Box to understand the scope and power of its energy. During their investigation, the team also remote video interviews previous museum visitors, tour guides and other special guests – people whose horrifying experiences in the museum form a baseline for what the team can expect. With their own apprehension at an all-time high, the crew fears the restless spirits inside the museum are more dangerous than ever.

“Ghost Adventures” is produced by MY Entertainment for Travel Channel. For MY Entertainment, the executive producers are Michael Yudin and Joe Townley. Zak Bagans also serves as an executive producer on the series. For Travel Channel, the executive producer is Daniel A. Schwartz, Julie Meisner Eagle is vice president of production and development, Matthew Butler is general manager and Henry Schleiff is group president of Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America.

THERE’S NO TURNING BACK ON THIS HAUNTED ROAD TRIP – “DESTINATION FEAR” REVS UP FOR A CHILLING NEW SEASON BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29 AT 10 P.M. ET/PT

Season Premiere Tests the Endurance of Paranormal Explorers Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden and Tanner Wiseman as They Spend the Night Inside Minnesota’s Infamous Nopeming Sanatorium

NEW YORK (March 30, 2020) – Buckle up for another fright-fueled season of Travel Channel’s “Destination Fear” – a haunted road trip turned terrifying sleepover – premiering Wednesday, April 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Brother and sister duo, Dakota Laden and Chelsea Laden, and best friend Tanner Wiseman, along with camera operator Alex Schroeder, confront their fears once again, as they pile into their RV and hit the road on a nail-biting cross-country journey to pursue paranormal evidence, spending the night inside America’s most haunted abandoned buildings over six hour-long episodes.

“Our last road trip was extremely intense, and it took a major toll on us – mentally and physically,” said Dakota Laden. “We had to really think about how much more we could handle – even Alex, who has been critical in capturing all of the action as our cameraman. But curiosity got the best of us. Our ability to withstand fear will be tested like never before.”

Lured by the unknown and with a greater understanding of fear, the crew explores a whole new set of abandoned locations with grim haunted histories and restless spirits lurking within. Only this time the destinations remain a surprise, not just to Chelsea and Tanner, but to Dakota as well, as they each take turns picking a haunted hot spot, challenging each other in unique ways. After exploring reports of paranormal activity, they separate to sleep alone in the dark … and that’s the moment when fear really takes over.

“This experience brings a whole new meaning to the idea of ‘getting ghosted,'” said Chelsea Laden. “No matter how frightening these places are, or how terrifying the paranormal activity we encounter, we can’t turn away. We’re infatuated with the unknown.”

“We are taking things even further this time,” said Tanner Wiseman. “Better equipped by what we learned from the first trip, we’re exploring even scarier places that we didn’t dare visit before. We’re chasing the fear now, not letting it chase us.”

In the season premiere, Dakota surprises Chelsea and Tanner by taking them back to where it all began: Nopeming Sanatorium in Duluth, Minnesota, a frightening location that loomed menacingly near their childhood homes. Dakota has been itching to investigate this 118-year-old building for years, but never had the courage to set foot inside. The site of 1,500 deaths, Nopeming’s history runs rampant with murder, suicide and sinister spirits. Now, the team will finally confront their childhood fears as they explore and spend the night inside one of Minnesota’s most paranormally active locations. What happens to the group during their overnight is an experience they will never forget, replete with poltergeist activity and a chilling encounter with the disturbed spirit of a former maintenance man.

Along their journey the team will make stops at the Yorktown Memorial Hospital in Yorktown, Texas; Old Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana; Hill View Manor in New Castle, Pennsylvania; Cambria County Jail in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania; and the Sheboygan County Insane Asylum in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where they will be the first paranormal team to spend the night inside a building that has never before been investigated on television.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Dakota Laden was born in Burnsville, Minnesota, and started making amateur movies at the age of 7, with a home video camera his older sister Chelsea sold him! At age 12, he began sharing his videos on YouTube – which was primarily made up of comedy shorts and a few music, prank and experimental videos sprinkled in. It wasn’t until high school that Dakota realized that exploring scary and haunted locations was his true passion, and he began looking for exciting and scary new places to explore and film. In 2011, he made five YouTube videos to copy the style of his favorite TV show at the time, “Ghost Adventures,” which earned him an actual guest appearance on the show after he caught the eye of star Zak Bagans. In 2015, he made his paranormal documentary, “Trail to Terror,” with his sister Chelsea and best friend Tanner. Because of his interest in the paranormal and exceptional camera work, Dakota was invited by Bagans to become a part of the “Ghost Adventures” crew, which honed his paranormal investigating skills. Dakota’s YouTube channel currently contains 250 videos, with a combined 8 million views and 65,000 subscribers.

Chelsea Laden is currently an optometry student at Illinois College of Optometry. She was a Division I NCAA ice hockey starting goaltender for a top five nationally ranked team (Quinnipiac University ’15). Upon graduating, she was the first goalie to sign in the inaugural season of the National Women’s Hockey League. In addition to playing in the NWHL, Chelsea also was part of the USA Women’s National Hockey Program. Chelsea has always been intrigued by, and excited to explore, abandoned and haunted locations. She loves the rush of being scared but also likes learning the history of the places she visits. Chelsea will always push herself to her limits but signing up for this experiment is one of the greatest challenges she has faced, both emotionally and physically.

Tanner Wiseman grew up with a passion for filming, comedy and Minnesota football. As a teenager, he created videos on YouTube with Dakota, and it was during this time he realized that his lifelong dream was to become a filmmaker and storyteller. Tanner attended Augsburg University in Minneapolis where he earned a degree in marketing and management while playing college football. Growing up, Tanner was intrigued by scary stories and abandoned locations, and would plan weekend trips with his friends to visit and explore haunted locations. Never one to turn away from danger, he jumped on the opportunity to once again join his childhood friends, Dakota and Chelsea, on this latest haunted trail, eager to face scarier stories and more terrifying haunts.

PARANORMAL PIONEERS JASON HAWES, STEVE GONSALVES AND DAVE TANGO RETURN TO THE HUNT ON SEASON TWO OF “GHOST NATION” ON TRAVEL CHANNEL

Cadaver Dogs Are Called in for the Two-Hour Special Premiere on Wednesday, April 22 at 8 P.M. ET/PT

NEW YORK (March 18, 2020) – Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango, the paranormal investigators responsible for igniting the ghost hunting phenomenon, are back for more adventures to the other side. The second season of the hit Travel Channel series, “Ghost Nation,” premieres on Wednesday, April 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with a special two-hour episode, and then returns with a fresh batch of weekly one-hour episodes airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

This season’s locations have bigger mysteries, are more chilling, and have never been investigated on television. Not only will the team be helping distraught homeowners, they’re also bringing their skills to an abandoned prison complex and a menacing tattoo parlor. And this time, they are calling in an old friend for some help. Paranormal investigator Shari DeBenedetti joins the investigations to keep a close eye on the monitors, reviewing footage on the hunt for all things paranormal.

“After 15 years of hunting ghosts, we know that finding evidence of paranormal activity won’t be enough to solve these problems entirely,” said Hawes. “We need to get to the source of the disturbance to bring these families much-needed peace, or else innocent people will continue to suffer. Since these are high-stakes personal cases, fans will see double the evidence and double the scares – all season long.”

On all investigations, collecting evidence is just the beginning. The team isn’t just parachuting in to conduct a cursory review of the case. With the help of their local contacts, they’re going to embed themselves in the community, conducting multi-day investigations in an effort to track down the true source of these hauntings and restore peace to the living.

Under the United Paranormal Research Organization (UPRO) banner, it isn’t only Hawes, Gonsalves and Tango facing off against an unseen entity. Local paranormal groups, sometimes even the homeowners themselves, will join the team as they employ new devices and techniques for confronting and questioning spirits. They’ll do whatever it takes to entice the ghost into telling its story and stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the paranormal phenomena. New locations this season include: Louisburg, North Carolina; Warwick, New York; Waynesville, Ohio; Biglerville, Pennsylvania and Blair, South Carolina.

“Ghost Nation” is produced by Ping Pong Productions for Travel Channel. For Ping Pong, the executive producers are Brad Kuhlman, Casey Brumels and Josh Gates. Schwartz, Julie Meisner Eagle is vice president of production and development, Matthew Butler is general manager and Henry Schleiff is group president of Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America.

ABOUT THE “GHOST NATION” TEAM

Jason Hawes has been investigating claims of paranormal activity since 1990, and is regarded as the leading authority in the field of supernatural and paranormal studies. Due to his pioneering efforts, the practice of paranormal investigation has advanced to international phenomenon status. Hawes has handled cases for law enforcement, religious organizations and U.S. government agencies. He formerly served as the co-creator, narrator, producer and star of “Ghost Hunters,” which ran for 11 seasons on the Syfy Channel. Hawes is a New York Times best-selling author of six books on the paranormal and is the creator and co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show, “Beyond Reality Radio.” He is also the founder of the most visited paranormal website in the world, The-Atlantic-Paranormal-Society.com, and he has created a network of paranormal researchers known as “The TAPS Family” that spans the globe with bases in more than 40 U.S. states and 14 countries.

Steve Gonsalves, a former police officer, has been a public speaker and educator about paranormal phenomena for more than 18 years. The paranormal pioneer helped pave the way for a worldwide paranormal explosion as a main cast member of the hit television series “Ghost Hunters,” and also starred in spin-offs “Ghost Hunters Live” and “Ghost Hunters Academy.” Gonsalves started his work in paranormal studies at a very young age and is well-educated in the field, having investigated over 1,000 reportedly haunted locations. He had the privilege of working closely with famed investigator and paranormal pioneer Dr. William G. Roll (Poltergeist) at the Rhine Research Center. Aside from his work on camera, Gonsalves also executive produced the horror short “The Captured Bird,” alongside famed writer and director Guillermo Del Toro, and has executive produced and directed a feature length documentary being released later this year. He is currently developing and producing content for television and has an untitled book project in the works.

Dave Tango, better known as “Tango,” is one of the world’s leading paranormal authorities. He is best known as an investigator and tech manager on the hit shows “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Hunters Academy.” Tango’s origins in the paranormal can be traced back to the stories his father (an Elizabeth, New Jersey, police officer) told him of his unexplained encounters while on the force. As a child, Tango was always intrigued by mysteries and the unknown, which led him to pursue magic as a serious hobby, and it remains an integral part of what makes Tango tick. He attributes this background to his knack for problem solving, and his ability to distinguish between what is real and what’s simply an illusion. Trained by the best in the paranormal field, Tango’s ghost-hunting philosophy is to never be afraid to try new techniques and always experiment in the field. His trademark genuineness and sometimes strange curiosity are what fans most undoubtedly love about him. Aside from being the quirky one at his paranormal day job, Dave has been a fan of stranger things since long before it was cool – from ’80s synth to video games.
