THE AIMS TEAM’S WILD HUNT FOR BIGFOOT PREMIERES SUNDAY, JANUARY 2 ON TRAVEL CHANNEL AND DISCOVERY+
NEW YORK (December 17, 2021) – It’s Bigfoot or bust for the Appalachian Investigations of Mysterious Sightings team (AIMS) as they head back to the Tygart Valley in West Virginia. The surviving members, Willy McQuillian, Jeff Headlee, Joseph “Huckleberry” Lott, Jacob “Buck” Lowe and William “Wild Bill” Neff, are on a mission to go after a massive Sasquatch that they know roams these hidden hills. Season Six of the cult-classic series, MOUNTAIN MONSTERS, returns with 10 new one-hour episodes beginning on Sunday, January 2 on Travel Channel at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Travel Channel and begins streaming the same day on discovery+.

Before setting off, the AIMS team are given an old shoeshine box that belonged to their beloved late team leader, Trapper. While they are unsure of what the contents of the box mean, they know there must be more to it after finding an old picture of Trapper sitting next to a Tygart Valley sign. So, they hit the road equipped with the box and determination to catch Bigfoot.

The AIMS team soon discover that they are in a cryptozoic creature hotspot unlike any other. As they chase the numerous monsters of the Tygart Valley and build breathtaking traps, they continue to learn that Trapper may have been onto this secret all along, and the key to the entire adventure may be within their reach. Huckleberry reveals his family’s terrifying brush with the Grafton Monster. Later, Jeff breaks out his “hillbilly hazmat suit” to do some blood work on an old dog collar. And Buck gets into a hellacious fistfight with locals under the moonlight.

Episode 5 – “Trapper’s Birthday”

After a rip-roaring fistfight in the woods, the AIMS team gather together to remember team leader Trapper on his birthday. Huckleberry busts out a jar of his famous “Squatch Piss,” and before long, Appalachia’s favorite hillbilly sons are seeing double.

The AIMS team find themselves in the middle of a turf war between the Grafton Monster, Bigfoot and a pack of Smoke Wolves as these killer cryptids battle it out for territory. Wild Bill asks Buck to help him lose his substantial baby fat as Bill goes on a Squatch jerky diet. The team heads into the Tygart Valley in search of the source of a mysterious rumbling noise that is shaking the hills.

The search is on to find a lost brother when AIMS team member Willy goes missing somewhere in the hidden hills of the Tygart Valley. After hearing gunshots, the team make a shocking discovery and must evacuate Willy from the woods. Buck is forced to judge a contest to determine who has the best body on the team as the boys pop their tops, flex their muscles and show what their mommas gave them.

The AIMS team head out on a night hunt for Smoke Wolves after encountering a herd of fleeing cattle and a mutilated calf ripped to pieces. A local man brings the team to tears as he shares a heartbreaking story about the devastation inflicted on his family by the Smoke Wolves in the Tygart Valley. The team learns incredible new information about Trapper that dates back to 1984, as Huckleberry blows the case wide open.

Episode 10 – “Bigfoot on Camera”

After a sudden Smoke Wolf attack on a local’s farm, the AIMS team is in full force and on the hunt for these deadly canine cryptids. The team makes an earth-shattering discovery with their best Bigfoot evidence in team history – one that no doubt has Trapper smiling down, proud of his Appalachian sons.

According to historians, America’s founding fathers were members of this society, and their secret symbols can be identified in monuments and money. The Freemasons were famous for their ritualistic obsession with death and the afterlife, and it’s possible that their sinister intentions are still lingering.

In this latest quest for answers about fear and the paranormal, the group tackles new frontiers – literally, exploring in locales they have not gone before and buildings that have never been investigated, such as the Indiana State Sanatorium. In the premiere episode, the foursome head to Twin Bridges Orphanage in Twin Bridges, Montana, an abandoned orphanage with a tragic and horrific history. The utter sadness and devastation of the orphanage’s children permeates every corner of the building with a deep, dark energy. Yet many claim this energy is not the children’s, but rather something much more ominous. While childish apparitions and sounds are frequently heard, many believe an evil entity is masquerading as the innocent. To connect with the dark energy here, Dakota has planned an experiment and novel approach for the team that will burst their preconceived notions about the paranormal. Several of the series and specials will be led by fan-favorite celebrities and supernatural experts. The partnership includes a “Ghostober” themed haunted attraction at Six Flags Magic Mountain and a Food Network specialty dessert item celebrating the return of the series Halloween Wars, and available for a limited time only. Additionally, “Ghostober” and Halloween Wars trailers will air across the nation on the Six Flags TV network.

New “Ghostober” series, specials and returning favorites launch in September beginning with a new season of HALLOWEEN BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP (September 13). This time, the bakers create killer treats that pay homage to quintessential 1980s horror films. The baking fun continues when HALLOWEEN WARS (September 19) returns with a new season featuring Ghost Adventures star Zak Bagans, who lends creepy inspiration from his Haunted Museum collection to challenge the teams to create frightening confections. But it only gets scarier as disastrous cooks face their fears in the kitchen and tackle terrifying ingredients in the new special, WORST COOKS IN AMERICA: HALLOWEEN REDEMPTION 2 (September 26).

October kicks off with an especially personal Ghost Adventures lockdown. Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley and Jay Wasley return to the place where their journey began in the emotionally-charged special, GHOST ADVENTURES: GOLDFIELD HOTEL (October 1), to settle once and for all a mysterious, evil feud that’s been cast over this haunted Nevada town. Then, fear kicks up a notch with horror anthology series THE HAUNTED MUSEUM (October 2). Pack up ALL of your courage and get in the RV with paranormal explorers Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden, Tanner Wiseman and Alex Schroeder as they hit the haunted highways, byways and back roads of America once again, spending the night inside the nation’s scariest places. Season Three of DESTINATION FEAR premieres Saturday, July 24 on both Travel Channel and discovery+. Across this season’s eight one-hour episodes, the fear-chasing foursome will be driven to the edge of endurance. Exploring under the harshest conditions they’ve ever faced, and using sensory deprivation tactics to augment their paranormal experiment, this trip will test their mental, emotional and physical strength to the extreme. Venturing inside notoriously haunted locations such as Ohio State Reformatory, the Villisca Axe Murder House and Odd Fellows Home, the team confronts intense supernatural forces – and they quickly learn these entities do more than go bump in the night.

“We’ve been through a lot together but even after all of our dark encounters, we’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s out there,” said Dakota Laden. “I usually save the worst location for last, but this time I am throwing us head-first into one of the scariest places in the entire country. And I have a few surprises up my sleeve to fuel the terror even more.”

In the season premiere, Dakota takes the team to one of the most frightening and infamous places in America: Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky. The death rate was so high at this former tuberculosis hospital that a “body chute” was created to hide the constant flow of deceased bodies from those who were living in the facility. Dakota, Chelsea, Tanner and Alex have dreamed of visiting this location for years, but they’ve always been too afraid to confront the sinister forces lurking within, until now. Facing a dark history of brutal deaths and paranormal violence, the team is taunted by several tortured souls still looming within the abandoned halls. Physical afflictions and ghostly apparitions put the group through the ultimate test of strength and endurance.

“No other season has challenged our limits of fear like this one,” said Chelsea Laden. “It’s really forced us to exceed those limitations and do the unthinkable.” Added Tanner Wiseman, “I think this is the most vulnerable we’ve ever been. NEW YORK (Nov. 23, 2020) – John Tice, affectionally known as “Trapper,” was the founder and leader of the Appalachian Investigations of Mysterious Sightings team (AIMS) that gave rise to the cult-classic series “Mountain Monster.” Sadly, Trapper passed away in December 2019, after a prolonged illness. “Mountain Monsters: A Tribute to Trapper,” premiering on Sunday, January 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, pays tribute to Tice, with the AIMS team sharing their favorite memories and moments with him over the years as they investigated cryptids throughout the woods of Appalachia.

The surviving members meet up for the first time after Trapper’s passing to discuss the team’s future and embark on adventures during seven one-hour episodes and a two-hour season finale of Season Five of “Mountain Monsters,” premiering on Sunday, January 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The AIMS team reads a personal letter from Trapper and heads out on a brand new adventure that he set up for them before he passed. Equipped with his personal journal filled with everything he ever learned about the woods, the team travels to the mountains of the Tygart Valley on a mission to prove that there are still wolves in West Virginia. A bounty put on them, and the last wolf was said to have been killed in 1900. The team encounters local farmers who tell of a dangerous predator that has been killing their livestock. The team soon believes that not only are there wolves in the Tygart Valley, but there is something much more mysterious and deadly.

“After the tragic loss of Trapper, we recognized the importance of finding a way to celebrate his life with our AIMS-obsessed fans and then continue his mission,” says Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. “What makes the new season so special is that the squad was eager to carry on Trapper’s legacy and head back to the forest, set on following his life’s work including intense hunts, thrilling twists and hillbilly hilarity.”

Throughout the season, the team learns from locals of massive K9 cryptids with glowing red eyes that inhabit the land and are known by locals as Smoke Wolves. As they dig deeper, they realize that Trapper in fact knew about these creatures back in the 1970s. The team spends time trying to figure out if this is what Trapper meant about the wolves of West Virginia. Then, to add to the monster fun, the team realizes there is a Bigfoot lurking, terrorizing the area as well.

By the end of the season, the team understands why Trapper sent them to the Tygart Valley. They come full circle as Trapper’s daughter is filled in on their incredible findings. And Huckleberry has a Bigfoot surprise for the ages in a twist ending no one sees coming.

NEW YORK (November 20, 2020) – Professional paranormal investigators Amy Bruni, Adam Berry and psychic medium Chip Coffey are used to communicating with ghosts. But with paranormal activity more rampant than ever, they’re facing hauntings unlike anything they’ve seen yet in the new 10-episode season of “Kindred Spirits,” premiering Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Investigating America’s rich haunted history, Bruni, Berry and Coffey dig deep into the past to identify the restless spirits haunting the country’s oldest inns, homes and estates. Utilizing a range of tools and techniques, their multilayered investigations tackle frightening tales of possession, aggressive entities and even an eerie, centuries-old mystery involving a murder conviction based on the “testimony” of a ghost. Together, the team elicit shocking evidence and connections with the other side that lead them closer to the truth, as they search for answers behind each haunted tale.

“Amy, Adam and Chip are always challenging themselves and this season is no exception,” said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. “The history in these locations is downright creepy and scary – their return to the John Proctor House in Salem is especially exciting as they revisit the mysterious activity exhumed during their memorable investigation of the building during our ‘Haunted Salem Live’ special.”

In the season premiere, “Devil in Salem,” Amy Bruni, Adam Berry and psychic medium Chip Coffey travel to Salem, Massachusetts, to investigate the home of John Proctor – one of the men executed during the infamous witch trials. It’s not the team’s first time at this renowned location having visited once before during a special Travel Channel event that was broadcast live. During the event, they opened a gateway to the dead using powerful magic, which allowed them to communicate with spirits from the 1692 Salem Witch Trials. Now, the team returns to Salem to launch a full-fledged investigation and learn more about the gateway they previously opened … and who came out of it.
