FOUR OF TLC’S FAN FAVORITE SERIES SET TO RETURN WITH BRAND NEW SEASONS IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH

— Series Include SISTER WIVES, OUTDAUGHTERED, SEEKING SISTER WIFE and RETURN TO AMISH —

(Los Angeles, Calif.) – Viewers can catch up with some of their favorite TLC families when four series premiere new episodes next month. February kicks off with the return of two beloved TLC families, first the Browns of SISTER WIVES, who are adjusting to their new life in Flagstaff living in separate homes, and later the Busbys of OUTDAUGHTERED, who are preparing for the quintuplets to start kindergarten. Then, the highly anticipated return of SEEKING SISTER WIFE promises drama, twists and divorces as two families return and three new couples begin their search for a sister wife. March brings a new season of RETURN TO AMISH, where painful pasts and hopeful futures collide for the group of Amish (and formerly Amish) as they navigate life on the outside. More information on each series below:

SISTER WIVES – Premieres on TLC on Sunday, February 14 at 10pm ET/PT

Last season, Kody Brown, his four wives – Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn – and their families relocated to Flagstaff, Arizona where they hoped to start an exciting new chapter of their lives. Little did they know that settling down in temporary homes before breaking ground on the land they purchased would be harder than they thought. This season, we see the Browns continuing to work through their new lifestyle of living apart from one another and the stressful decisions they must make about their future home. Like the rest of the world, COVID-19 puts an extra strain on the family and the Browns’ big gatherings and large parties that brought the family together are now a thing of the past. Join the conversation on social media by using #SisterWives. SISTER WIVES is produced for TLC by Puddle Monkey Productions in association with Figure 8 Films.

OUTDAUGHTERED – Premieres on TLC on Tuesday, February 23 at 8pm ET/PT

Viewers pick up with the Busby family and America’s first all-female quintuplets months after the family, and the country, went into quarantine. Now, the family is emerging with five-year-old Ava, Olivia, Parker, Hazel and Riley and their nine-year-old big sister Blayke to a new normal with plenty of new experiences in store, including a crash course in riding bikes, taking an RV trip to the wilderness and the quints starting kindergarten. There will also be celebrations galore, whether it’s a homemade, backyard haunted maze for Halloween or a socially distant visit with Santa. The Busbys always find ways to make things special for their girls, no matter the circumstances; however, an unknown and painful health issue that’s been haunting Super Mom Danielle for years has become unbearable, and her search for answers could lead her down a scary path. Join the conversation using #OutDaughtered. OUTDAUGHTERED is produced for TLC by Bright Spot Content and All3Media America in association with The Boardwalk Entertainment Group.

SEEKING SISTER WIFE – Premieres on TLC on Sunday, February 28 at 9pm ET/PT

Explore the lives of five polygamist families, all in various stages of trying to add a sister wife to the nest. With two returning families and three brand new couples looking for love, Seeking Sister Wife returns, noisier than ever. From a 90 Day twist featuring a Brazilian bombshell and a divorce, to an explosive live-in battle of the hearts, all in the midst of a quarantine, this season is offering a wildly unfiltered and compelling look into these families’ ups and downs as they date in this arguably unconventional world. Join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #SeekingSisterWife. SEEKING SISTER WIFE is produced for TLC by Bright Spot Content and All3Media America.

RETURN TO AMISH – Premieres on TLC on Monday, March 22 at 9pm ET/PT

RETURN TO AMISH tells the stories of the ex-Amish as they try to establish lives outside of the insular world in which they grew up. Jeremiah and his wife Carmella are back, with Jeremiah on the hunt for his biological family, but false leads and tragedy threaten to derail his search. Sabrina returns as well, and this time she’s juggling a fourth pregnancy and her relationship with the father, Jethro, and also celebrating a year of sobriety. Viewers will be introduced to Rosanna and Maureen as they leave their tight-knit Amish communities for the first time, traveling to join Jeremiah, Carmella and Sabrina to experience many “firsts” in the non-Amish world. Rosanna’s sheltered life hasn’t prepared her to deal with the stress of the English, or non-Amish, world, but she’s determined to soak up her new surroundings. Maureen is similarly excited to experience the English world, and a budding relationship has the potential to help her acclimate even faster. Join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #ReturnToAmish. RETURN TO AMISH is produced for TLC by Hot Snakes Media.

Always hard at work for their beauty business, Lexi, a cutting-edge nail artist, and her sister Bria, a hair colorist and makeup artist, saw their routines come crashing down as the pandemic arrived earlier this year. Mother and administrative lead at the salon, Jennifer, is forced to step up to help make ends meet, taking control of the family’s obligations. Despite all the personal and financial turmoil, and to Lexi’s dismay, Bria and her fiancé Matt are still planning to have their wedding as the extravagant affair she and her father dreamed of, but coronavirus restrictions get in the way of Bria’s dream wedding. Meanwhile, once the green light is given to safely resume services while adhering to health and safety guidelines, Lexi must put the personal aside and continue to deliver for her special clients’ extreme requests, from a “mer-mazing” set of nautical nails to an amusement park-themed look. But as Bria’s big day approaches, Lexi starts to crack and reveal some long-suppressed emotions about her tight-knit family. 1,000-LB SISTERS – Premieres on TLC on Monday, January 4 at 10pm ET/P

Last season, viewers were introduced to Amy and Tammy Slaton, spunky sisters from Kentucky who have built an online presence sharing their lives, weight struggles and larger-than-life personalities. Fans watched them attempt their biggest endeavor yet, losing enough weight to qualify for and undergo life-changing bariatric surgery. Amy, 33, qualified and went through with the surgery, while Tammy, 34, struggled to reach her goal weight. This season, a few months after her successful surgery, Amy learns more good news – that she and her husband Michael are expecting their first baby. Having a child of their own is everything Amy has always dreamed of, but Tammy is concerned that Amy is still recovering from her procedure, and that her doctor had warned her to wait at least two years to get pregnant. Meanwhile, Tammy has moved in next door to Amy and Michael and relies on them for her basic daily needs. Amy worries that with a baby on the way, she won’t have time to care for Tammy, and hopes her sister can learn to become more independent. During quarantine, Tammy’s weight has fluctuated, worrying Amy and her family that Tammy’s recent weight gain means that she has fallen into old habits. The sisters’ older brother Chris decides to join Tammy on her journey in the hopes of getting approved for weight loss surgery himself and to hold Tammy accountable. They hope they can motivate her to get back on track in order to qualify for weight loss surgery. Meanwhile, Tammy is head over heels for her boyfriend Jerry, who she met in person once last year in Atlanta. Now, he’s agreed to visit her in Kentucky and Tammy hopes this means he’s ready to take their relationship to the next level. However, when Tammy’s siblings discover the details of how they met, they worry that Jerry could sabotage Tammy’s weight loss goals and distract her from making her health a priority. Additionally, in a short-form series premiering December 11 exclusively on social, Tammy and Amy will give viewers a fun-filled experience cooking healthy foods, attempting the “Hot and Sour” challenge, and even giving Amy’s husband, Michael, a makeover! Join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #1000lbSisters. 1,000-LB SISTERS is produced by Crazy Legs Productions for TLC.

TLC’S “UNEXPECTED” RETURNS WITH AN UNFILTERED LOOK AT TEENAGE PREGNANCY ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 20 AT 10PM ET/PT

— Digital Mid-Form Series BABY BUMPS to Premiere on TLC Go on Sunday, December 13 —

(Los Angeles, CA) – TLC’s UNEXPECTED returns with an eye-opening look at teenage pregnancy and parenthood on Sunday, December 20 at 10pm ET/PT. The new episodes explore the life-altering journeys that teens and their families embark upon as they prepare for a baby, from the struggle to raise multiple generations under one roof to the inevitable tensions that arise when family members disagree on parenting decisions. Viewers can meet the young expectant moms and their families before UNEXPECTED premieres in the digital mid-form series BABY BUMPS, which premieres on TLC Go on December 13.

Returning this season are Tyra (17) and Alex (18), who are balancing baby duties, college classes and a long-distance relationship, and season one mom Lily (19) who is pregnant with her second child, but her first with boyfriend Lawrence (19). Fans will also be introduced to three new couples: Jenna (16) & Aden (17), Myrka (15) & Ethan (16), and Reanna (15) & Taron (16).

In the season premiere, Myrka is trying to fix her relationship with her mother who kicked her out of the house upon learning about the pregnancy, forcing Myrka to move in with Ethan and his family. Reanna recently decided to move over an hour away from Taron following their breakup so she could live with her mom. The former couple is no longer on speaking terms, and Reanna’s mother is adamant that they need to restore civility for the sake of their child whose arrival is coming soon. Jenna’s pregnancy led her to drop out of her strict Catholic high school and enroll in an online school. She and Aden met in sixth grade and now await the birth of their baby, supported by Jenna’s dad, who finds it hard to say “no” to Jenna whenever she asks for something, including a car for her birthday. Tyra has recently enrolled in college, and if she graduates, she’ll be the first of five generations of teen moms in her family to do so. With the school located several hours away from Alex and their daughter, it’s causing a strain on their relationship. Later in the season, viewers will be reintroduced to Lily, who is pregnant with her second child, and meet her boyfriend Lawrence, who is hoping to take their relationship to the next level.

For the fourth consecutive season, TLC is partnering with Power to Decide, the campaign to prevent unplanned pregnancy, to help viewers use UNEXPECTED as a way to spark meaningful conversations about unplanned pregnancy. There have been historic declines in teen pregnancy and meaningful declines in unplanned pregnancy over the past two decades, according to Power to Decide. However, progress doesn’t mean victory: large disparities still exist for youth of color, and for those living in poverty and rural areas. In fact, nearly one in four girls will get pregnant by age 20, and children of teen moms are more likely to become teen parents themselves. Based on themes that come up in the show, Power to Decide is creating custom discussion-starters, information, and tips for young people and their parents, mentors and allies to jump-start open conversations and ensure that all young people have the power to decide if, when and under what circumstances to get pregnant and have a child. These resources will help viewers get informed and think about how they might handle similar situations in their own lives. The resources will be available for viewers at www.PowerToDecide.org and will be shared by TLC.

UNEXPECTED will premiere immediately after brand-new episodes of 90 DAY FIANCÉ, which along with its spinoffs has helped TLC rank as the #1 Primetime Ad-Supported Cable Network with W25-54/18-49/18-34 in 2020 to date.

SEVEN COUPLES HOPE FOR LONG LASTING LOVE ON A NEW SEASON OF TLC’S “90 DAY FIANCÉ”

New Season Premieres Sunday, December 6 at 8PM ET/PT

(Los Angeles, Calif.) – Four new and three returning couples from the 90 Day franchise are ready to put it all on the line for what they believe to be true love in a brand-new season of 90 DAY FIANCÉ. The eighth season of the original 90 Day series that started it all premieres Sunday, December 6 at 8PM ET/PT on TLC. These couples have overcome many obstacles to get approved for the K-1 Visa and bring their spouses-to-be stateside, but the hard part is far from over. They will each have 90 days from the moment their significant other lands on U.S. soil to say “I do,” or else the foreigners will have to head back to their home countries.

The couples followed this season include:

Brandon, 27 (Dinwiddie, VA) and Julia, 26 (Russia)

Brandon was first introduced to Julia when his friend saw her go-go dancing in a club and decided to video chat Brandon so the two could meet virtually. Despite their distance and very different lifestyles, Brandon working and living on his parents’ farm and Julia, a city girl working as a go-go dancer, the pair hit it off instantly, and Brandon was smitten. After only five months and one meeting in person, they met up for a second time in Iceland and Brandon proposed. Now they are getting ready for Julia to move to the U.S., but after all of the money he has spent on the relationship so far, the couple will need to live with his parents for a little while so that they can save up and eventually find a place of their own. Brandon’s parents are happy that he’s finally met someone but they hope that Julia will be okay with their conservative rules and be open to pitching in to help out on the farm.

Mike, 35 (Sequim, WA) and Natalie, 35 (Ukraine)

Last season we met Mike and Natalie after they were introduced by mutual friends. They fell in love, but we also watched them deal with everything from trust issues, major differences and uncertainty about their own feelings. Despite everything, their love for each other encouraged them to apply for the K-1 Visa and Mike went to the Ukraine while they waited for it to process. This time around things are moving quickly as Natalie finds out that she must move to the U.S. within 20 days of receiving her visa. With how they left things last time, Mike is taken aback that everything is moving so fast and wonders if they’ll be able to sort out all of their issues with only 90 days to commit to marriage.

Rebecca, 49 (Woodstock, GA) and Zied, 27 (Tunisia)

Last time we caught up with Rebecca and Zied in BEFORE THE 90 DAYS, they became engaged and were starting the K-1 Visa process. Now, Rebecca is anxiously awaiting the final step in the K-1 Visa process – Zied’s interview. If everything goes as planned, Zied will be on his way to the U.S. Rebecca has gotten a new job and is working overtime to support Zied financially when he arrives. Like last time, Zied’s conservative religious beliefs create conflict in their relationship, causing Rebecca to be suspicious that she is being scammed again. Rebecca’s daughter Tiffany and her boyfriend Micah worry that Rebecca is making the same mistake again and that this relationship, like her last marriage with a foreigner, will not work out.

Jovi, 29 (New Orleans, LA) and Yara, 25 (Ukraine)

While traveling solo around the world, Jovi decided to download a travel app to meet new people. When he matched with Yara, he wasn’t expecting anything more than a hook-up, but they instantly had a connection and continued to travel together. Six months into their relationship, Yara found out she was pregnant, Jovi proposed and they filed for the K-1 Visa. Sadly, Yara had a miscarriage, but the whole experience strengthened their feelings and commitment. Now Yara is getting ready to move stateside, but Jovi’s mother wonders if she’ll be able to fit in with his wild outdoor lifestyle and his friends wonder if he’s serious about giving up the bachelor life.

Stephanie, 52 (Grand Rapids, MI) and Ryan, 27 (Belize)

Stephanie has devoted so much of her life to her two spa businesses that she’s never been in a serious relationship. During a vacation in Belize, Stephanie met Ryan on the beach and the two sparked up a conversation. After so many years of living the single life, Stephanie feels that Ryan is the one and hopes to finally settle down with him. Stephanie spoils Ryan with gifts and supports him and his family with their rent, however, they bicker over his flirtatious tendencies but Ryan believes he’s not doing anything wrong while Stephanie becomes jealous. She has hopes that Ryan will mature when he arrives in the U.S. but her friends and family worry that he is only in it for the opportunities and support Stephanie provides him.

Andrew, 32 (Roseville, CA) and Amira, 28 (France)

Andrew created an online dating profile when he decided that he was ready to settle down and start a family. He heard from many women and almost overlooked Amira’s brief message but reached out to her. They both felt an instant connection and made plans to meet for a romantic week in Las Vegas, where Andrew proposed. Afterwards, they filed for the K-1 Visa and got approved, but find that they must go to great lengths getting Amira into the U.S. during Covid-19 before their visa expires.

Tarik, 46 (Virginia Beach, VA) and Hazel, 28 (Philippines)

When we last caught up Tarik and Hazel on BEFORE THE 90 DAYS, Tarik had traveled to meet Hazel in person and did everything he could to try and fit into her culture. We saw them get engaged with a romantic proposal and saw Tarik head back to the U.S. Now, Hazel is moving to begin her 90 days with plans to bring her eight-year-old son Harry to America as soon as she can. After revealing that she is bisexual, Hazel now plans to find an American girlfriend to add to she and Tarik’s relationship. However, we find out a bit about Tarik and Hazel’s past that complicates this idea.

90 DAY FIANCÉ will premiere following season two of the franchise expander THE OTHER WAY, which is currently averaging a 2.32 P25-54 rating, 3.27 W25-54 rating, and 3.8M P2+ viewers, up double-digits from its freshman season. BUDDY VALASTRO RETURNS TO FOOD NETWORK AND TLC THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

The Cake Boss Competes Against Expert Craft Masters on Food Network’s Buddy vs. Christmas, Premiering on Sunday, November 22nd at 10pm ET/PT

Follow Buddy’s Journey to Heal His Hand After a Serious Accident at His Home on An All-New Two-Hour TLC Special Premiering on Wednesday, December 23rd at 9pm ET/PT

NEW YORK – October 26, 2020 – Buddy Valastro embarks on an extraordinary new Christmas-themed competition on Food Network as he goes head-to-head with the greatest non-cake artists on Buddy vs. Christmas, premiering on Sunday, November 22nd at 10pm ET/PT. It’s bakers vs. makers as their skills are tested in each of the four episodes, as Buddy and his team of bakers goes up against an award-winning scenic designer, a glassblower, an animatronics expert, and a Lego builder. With only 24 hours to capture the spirit of the holidays with their creations, the one that rises to the top with their elaborate design will be crowned winner. From life-size gingerbread houses and snow globes, to incredible toys including drivable sleigh cakes and action figures, and to Santa’s workshop complete with talking reindeer, each creation brings holiday enchantment to life!

“As the Cake Boss, Buddy has mastered the creation of gigantic, life-sized, and incredibly realistic cakes. Now, viewers will be captivated as he takes on his most difficult challenge yet by competing against master builders and expert crafters – it’s cake creations vs. real build designs on Buddy vs. Christmas,” said Courtney White, President, Food Network. “Audiences will be stunned by the remarkable Christmas designs in each episode, with all their spectacular details and special effects, making each one more impressive than the last.”

The cake designs on Buddy vs. Christmas were some of the last cake’s Buddy constructed, as the series was filmed prior to a recent accident at his home, where his right hand was impaled, and he was rushed into emergency surgery. TLC’s two-hour special following Buddy’s road to recovery premiering on Wednesday, December 23rd at 9pm ET/PT, follows the dramatic events as they transpired in real time with footage captured immediately after the incident. It’s a long, emotional journey, from Buddy’s multiple surgeries, to his family anxiously waiting at the hospital, to grueling physical therapy, and to his first days back at the job. As business deadlines loom, commitments for over-the-top cakes stack up, and the holiday season around the corner, the stakes couldn’t be higher. But above all, Buddy faces the ultimate question: Can you still be the Cake Boss if you can’t make cakes?

“Buddy is like family to all of us at TLC, so we are thrilled and relieved for him that he is on the road to recovery following his accident,” said Howard Lee, President and General Manager, TLC. “Knowing Buddy’s determination and spirit, it’s no surprise that he would give it his all in the hopes of returning back to normal. We are proud to document his journey as part of this special.”
