HOLLYWOOD, Calif.–June 24, 2022–Nickelodeon revealed the teaser for its highly anticipated Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island, the third chapter of the beloved horror anthology miniseries based on the ’90s kids’ cult classic. Produced by ACE Entertainment, the limited series will debut with a two-hour episode on Saturday, July 30, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, with the remaining episodes airing Saturday, Aug. 6, and Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT).

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island follows an all-new Midnight Society as they go on what they thought would be a fun summer vacation on a resort island, until they learn about something sinister haunting the guests. In the just-released teaser, viewers are introduced to the new members of the Midnight Society and get a glimpse at the horrors that await them on their vacation.

In the premiere episode, “The Tale of Room 13/The Tale of the Teen Spirit,” four best friends get more than they bargained for and encounter genuine terror locked away in one of the rooms after checking into a hotel on a resort island. Then, as the kids try to enjoy summer vacation, they are pulled back into the mystery of the island’s ghosts, ultimately leading them to a terrifying and shocking revelation.

The new members of the Midnight Society are: Kayla, played by Telci Huynh (Modern Love, Drama Club); Max, played by Conor Sherry (The Terminal List, The Devil You Know); Leo, played by Luca Padovan (You, School of Rock the Musical on Broadway); Summer, played by Dior Goodjohn (Head of the Class); and Ferris, played by Chance Hurstfield (A Million Little Things, Good Boys). Julian Curtis (Wish Man) also stars as Stanley Crane, the hotel manager at the island resort.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island follows last year’s six-part season, Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Curse of the Shadows, which aired during 1Q21 and was cable TV’s number-three live-action show with Kids 6-11 (behind #1 Danger Force and #2 Side Hustle). The second season of the anthology series saw a different Midnight Society group of kids tell a terrifying tale about a curse that had been cast over their small seaside town, haunted by a villain named the Shadowman. The series has recently received a Writers Guild Award and nominations from the Directors Guild Awards and Artios Awards.

The hour-long special will feature four teams as they compete on a “Nick-ified” golf course to reach an unpredictable final round taking place inside the iconic Rose Bowl stadium. Nickelodeon Slime Cup will simulcast on Saturday, June 25, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) across Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nicktoons.

With one-of-a-kind tee boxes, far-out fairways and greens, physical challenges, and lots of slime, the special will culminate with “The Unfairway”–the final hole where players battle it out to win the ultimate Nickelodeon Slime Cup, a Nick orange blazer and the epic honor of getting slimed.

Nickelodeon Slime Cup will feature four teams of three that consist of a professional golfer, a celebrity and a Nickelodeon star. Nick stars Gabrielle Nevaeh Green and Young Dylan, and CBS Sports’ play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle will provide commentary in the booth and bring the same perspectives they brought to the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon, while actors Jerry Trainor (iCarly) and Hunter March (Betch) serve as sideline reporters.

Today on CBS Mornings, CBS Sports and Nickelodeon announced they are teaming up once again to reach NFL fans of all ages. This season’s collaboration will be a nationally televised Christmas Day game between the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Dec. 25, at 4:30 PM, ET. CBS Sports’ presentation will be broadcast on The CBS Television Network and available to stream live on Paramount+ while a special slime-filled telecast tailored for family-viewing fun will air exclusively on Nickelodeon. That week, the majority of NFL games will be played on Saturday, Dec. 24.

In previous years, CBS Sports and Nickelodeon presented the kid-friendly telecast during NFL Super Wild Card weekend alongside the NFL ON CBS broadcast on CBS. This season’s collaboration will shift to the holidays and bring fans this special Christmas Day game as Russell Wilson and the Broncos take on Matthew Stafford and the reigning Super Bowl champions in Los Angeles.

In the premiere episode, “Robots/Imagination,” Face showcases popular robot-themed music videos as well as the coolest songs about imagination. Each episode of Face’s Music Party will center around themes that inform the song playlist and consist of four segments: a kid-friendly music video from popular contemporary artists; remixed sing-alongs of iconic nursery rhymes; exploration time in Face’s music box, where kids can play and learn about an instrument, sound or musical concept; and a high energy dance-along finale, with kid dancers demonstrating moves to viewers at home.

Hosted by CBS News Correspondent Vladimir Duthiers, Nick News opens with a segment from a shelter in Lviv, Ukraine, where CBS News’ Imtiaz Tyab met with a group of kids who discuss the escalating violence that drove their families from their hometowns and showcase the indomitable spirit that allows them to work towards a brighter future. The half-hour program will also feature star of Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay and All That Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, who heads to New York City to report on the girls from Girl Scout Troop 6000(TM), launched in 2016 at a single-family shelter, the program is specially designed to serve the thousands of girls living in the New York City Shelter System, with weekly meetings at locations throughout the city’s five boroughs that foster close friendships and offer much-needed support.

All-New Cast Members of the Midnight Society Revealed

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.-March 24, 2022-Nickelodeon’s beloved horror anthology miniseries Are You Afraid of the Dark? will return for a third chapter with all-new members of the Midnight Society, as they gather around the campfire to share another spooky story. Titled Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island (four hour-long episodes), season three will follow this new group of kids as they go on what they thought would be a fun summer vacation on a resort island, until they learn about something sinister haunting the guests. Produced by ACE Entertainment, Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island has begun production in the Dominican Republic and is slated to premiere later this year on Nickelodeon. The news was announced today by Brian Robbins, President & Chief Executive Officer, Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon, and Chief Content Officer, Movies and Kids & Family, Paramount+, at Nickelodeon’s annual upfront presentation held at New York City’s Palladium Times Square.

The new members of the Midnight Society are: Kayla, played by Telci Huynh (Modern Love, Drama Club); Max, played by Conor Sherry (The Terminal List, The Devil You Know); Leo, played by Luca Padovan (You, “School of Rock the Musical” on Broadway); Summer, played by Dior Goodjohn (Head of the Class); and Ferris, played by Chance Hurstfield (A Million Little Things, Good Boys). Julian Curtis (Wish Man) also stars as Stanley Crane, the hotel manager at the island resort.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island follows last year’s six-part season, Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Curse of the Shadows, which aired during 1Q21 and was cable TV’s number-three live-action show with Kids 6-11 (behind #1 Danger Force and #2 Side Hustle). The second season of the anthology series saw a different Midnight Society group of kids tell a terrifying tale about a curse that had been cast over their small seaside town, haunted by a villain named the Shadowman. The series has recently received a Writers Guild Award and nominations from the Directors Guild Awards and Artios Awards.
