The Companies Also Agree to Distribute CNN+ on Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex Devices and XClass TVs

WarnerMedia and Comcast Cable announced today the companies have renewed their carriage agreement to distribute WarnerMedia’s lineup of cable networks including TBS, TNT, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, TCM, truTV, HLN and CNN en Español plus on-demand and TVE content to Xfinity TV customers. In addition, this includes the first distribution agreement for CNN+, which WarnerMedia is launching as a streaming subscription service in first quarter. Comcast plans to make CNN+ available to its Xfinity customers via its Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex, and XClass TV platforms later in 2022.

The multi-year cable network carriage agreement furthers a longstanding distribution relationship between the two companies.

Dec. 1, 2021 – Burbank, CA – Travel up, up, and away to faraway places with the 10-episode premiere of the original animated comedy, We Baby Bears, Saturday, Jan. 1 (10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET/PT) on Cartoon Network followed by two new episodes that will premiere every Saturday throughout the month starting Jan. 8 (9:00 a.m. ET/PT). Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, We Baby Bears embarks on magical adventures with the beloved siblings in search of a place they can call home. The series will also roll out globally on Cartoon Network starting with Latin America (LATAM) on Jan. 2, Asia Pacific (APAC) beginning Jan. 8, and across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) from March 2022.

The original theme song for the series is performed by up-and-coming Universal Music Korea K-Pop supergroup, TRI.BE. Their first-ever, highly anticipated mini-album, “Veni Vidi Vici” was recently released in October and they have been steadily growing their fanbase worldwide. Quadrilingual, the group is the first of its kind speaking and singing in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.

We Baby Bears will also feature an otherworldly list of guest stars including Anjali Bhimani, Rhys Darby, Janeane Garofalo, Young M.A., Jason Mantzoukas, Stephen Oyoung, Willow Smith and Bernardo Velasco.

Oct. 28, 2021 – Burbank, CA – Gearing up for the greatest fan competition in Wizarding World history, TBS and Cartoon Network released today the official trailer and new details for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses. Premiering Sunday, Nov. 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, the four-part special event, hosted by Academy Award(R)-winning actress Helen Mirren, will feature celebrity fans and Harry Potter film alumni as it showcases Wizarding World fandom on a never-before-seen scale.

Revealed in today’s trailer, Harry Potter cast members Tom Felton, Simon Fisher-Becker, Shirley Henderson, Luke Youngblood, and more will make special cameos alongside super fans Pete Davidson, and Jay Leno.

The bracket-style competition will feature fans competing for their Hogwarts house in teams of three. Houses go head to head in four epic battles answering hundreds of Wizarding World trivia questions with help from the live audience to unveil which house knows the intricately detailed universe like the back of their hand. Winning teams of each round will advance to the grand finale to determine who will take home the Tournament of Houses championship trophy.

Along with the spectacular trophy and ultimate bragging rights, the winning house will be awarded with a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Wizarding World locations across the East Coast.* All travel accommodations will be provided for. This includes:

The latest series from Warner Bros. Animation stars Scooby and the Mystery Inc. crew who join forces with some of the biggest names in pop culture to solve their toughest mysteries yet. Also streaming during Scoobtober on HBO Max are 28 Scooby-Doo movies from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and the popular library animated series Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!

Cartoon Network will offer over 17 hours of Scooby-themed programming during Scoobtober. Kids and families can tune-in every Sunday beginning Oct. 3 (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET/PT) to catch two Warner Bros. Home Entertainment movies from the Scooby-Doo library including Scooby-Doo! The Sword and the Scoob and Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! Warner Bros. Pictures’ Scoob! will also debut on Cartoon Network during its new family destination, ACME Night, Sunday, Oct. 24 (6:00 p.m. ET/PT).

This special four-part event will unveil Wizarding World fans willing to put their Harry Potter knowledge to the test for the ultimate honor to be named House Cup champion.

In celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the special is set to tape later this month and premiere later this year as a simulcast event on Cartoon Network’s ACME Night and TBS, followed by its premiere on HBO Max. Iconic Cat and Mouse Duo Star in their First-Ever Preschool Educational Animated Series from Warner Bros. Animation

Burbank, CA (Sept. 13, 2021) – The famous cat and mouse rivals are at it again in their first-ever preschool animated series Tom and Jerry Time. Combining hilarious antics with key early learning concepts, Tom and Jerry Time aims to teach young viewers the skills they need to explore the world around them. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the greenlight of the original new series was announced today as part of WarnerMedia Kids & Family’s live virtual event celebrating its new Cartoonito preschool programming block, debuting today on HBO Max and Cartoon Network.

Burbank, CA (August 16, 2021) – Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) and Cartoon Network Studios (CNS) have set an exclusive, multiyear cross-studio overall deal with Emmy(R) Award-winning producer, writer, and performer Wyatt Cenac.

Under his deal, Cenac will develop and produce original animated programming at both WBA and CNS intended for a variety of audiences including preschool, kids, adult and family/co-viewing across all WarnerMedia platforms, as well as external outlets and services. Currently, Cenac has two projects in active development at the studios – an animated longform movie and adult animated series – in addition to assisting on other various series development. Cenac joins Looney Tunes Cartoons executive producer and showrunner Pete Browngardt as the second overall cross-studio deal at WBA and CNS which allows for maximum creative flexibility to develop original material and access to the extensive character and franchise libraries at each studio. As a producer, this marks a return to the medium for Cenac who began his career in animation writing for four seasons on King of the Hill beginning in 2002.

Emmy(R), WGA Award winning and Grammy nominated performer, writer, and producer Wyatt Cenac is NY-based stand-up comedian. Armed with an “attentive, inquisitive perspective” (AV Club) and an “hilariously understated style” (Paste Magazine), he has become a favorite of audiences and critics alike. From 2008 to 2012, Wyatt was a writer and popular correspondent on the hit late-night Comedy Central series The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he earned 3 Emmy Awards and one Writer’s Guild Award. Wyatt has appeared as a recurring character on the popular Netflix series Bojack Horseman, Fox’s The Great North and Bob’s Burger, and FX’s Archer. Wyatt also starred in the TBS alien abduction comedy series, People Of Earth, alongside Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Ana Gasteyer. Notable amongst Wyatt’s feature work was his leading role in Barry Jenkins’ award winning feature film, Medicine for Melancholy. Aug. 16, 2021 – Burbank, CA – Just in time for the school year, WarnerMedia Kids & Family will launch the Cartoonito preschool block Monday, Sept. 13 on HBO Max and Cartoon Network. The new block offers a modern approach to preschool programming with its proprietary educational framework, Humancentric Learning. A growing roster of new and library series will add to a slate that celebrates individuality and originality, while championing creativity, compassion and inclusion.

On HBO Max, Cartoonito programming will be presented as a dedicated page featuring a collection of new preschool shows including Little Ellen and the second season of the The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo, along with other staples, Esme & Roy, Sesame Street and more.

Cartoonito on Cartoon Network will be available Monday-Friday (6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET/PT) and will include new series Bing, Mush-Mush & The Mushables and Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go(TM). Preschoolers and families can also tune in Saturday-Sunday (6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. ET/PT) for additional new Cartoonito shows including Lucas the Spider.

Cartoonito strives to be a space where little ones are free to be themselves, let their creativity flourish and become caring community members. This fresh take on preschool programming is guided by Cartoonito’s proprietary Humancentric Learning framework developed in partnership with Educational Psychologist Dr. Laura Brown which aims to help children develop their unique potential and encourage them to treat others with compassion, respect, and fairness.

To align with this learning philosophy, all Cartoonito shows will have a curriculum designed by an early childhood education expert crafted to underscore one of four pillars of Humancentric Learning: Creativity, Caring, Curiosity and Courage. Little Ellen models optimism and resilience to build courage, Lucas the Spider explores his world to encourage curiosity, and other shows will help preschoolers model strengths to become the best version of themselves and interact well with others.

· Little Ellen (Season one) – Produced by Warner Bros. · The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo (Season two) – The new season of The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo premieres Sept. 30 and will expand on the last, promising even more excitement and interactive games, and a whole new look! Decked out in his suit and tie, Elmo returns as the furry red “host with the most,” with Cookie Monster as his cohost and the rest of the Sesame Street Muppets pitching in as cast and crew. Each episode will feature celebrity guests, musical performances, and plenty of opportunities for preschoolers and their families to get up and play along.

Library shows will also join the Cartoonito lineup on HBO Max and include: Care Bears: Unlock the Magic (Season one), Esme & Roy (Seasons one and two), Love Monster (Seasons one and two), Mo Willems Storytime Shorts! (Season one), Sesame Street (classic seasons including current season 51), The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo (Season one) and more.

· Bing – Produced by Acamar Films, in association with Brown Bag Films, Bing is a new show celebrating the joyful, messy reality of preschool life and finds the big stories in the little moments. Bing is a lovable, authentic preschooler, who lives very much in the present moment. Each moment brings new experiences for Bing, which often lead to a bump, spillage or temporary disappointment. By Bing’s side, through it all, is Flop, whose patience and encouragement help Bing, along with his audience, to experience and learn from life’s unpredictable moments.

· Mush-Mush & The Mushables – Produced by France’s La Cabane and Belgium’s Thuristar in coproduction with CAKE, Mush-Mush & The Mushables is a new show that follows the endearing Mushable community as they embark on a journey to put the fun back into fun-gi! As pocket-size guardians of the forest, growing up isn’t always easy, but together each day shines just as bright as the one before. The show is created by Elfriede de Rooster and directed by Joeri Christiaen.

· Thomas & Friends All Engines Go – From Mattel Television, Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go invites preschoolers all aboard and follows the world’s Number One Tank Engine and his friends on their silliest and most musical adventures yet. Produced in vibrant, 2D-animation in partnership with Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Studio, the new show features a core cast of five young engines – Thomas, his best friend Percy, rival Diesel, the adventurous world traveler Nia and an all-new electric high-speed rail train, Kana.

· Lucas the Spider – Lucas the Spider is a new CGI-animated show premiering Sept. 18 from Fresh TV in association with WexWorks Media with CAKE handling international distribution and is based on a viral YouTube hit that follows the adventures of an endearing young spider as he and his friends try to navigate the big world around them.

The newly released trailer features an original mnemonic, “Oh! Oh! Oh! Cartoonito!” created for the block and gives a sneak peek at the burgeoning Cartoonito slate that includes preschool staples Sesame Street and Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go, Mush-Mush & the Mushables and additional shows announced earlier this week that include Bing, Dylan, Odo and Pocoyo.

Little Ellen

Produced by Warner Bros. Nito

Nito is a magical box of joy bursting with imagination, surprise, and even other characters! Ever curious, Nito loves exploring the world and eagerly shares facts with others: “Oh, oh, oh! Pandas eat up to 40 pounds of bamboo a day.” They are a natural leader and everyone’s best friend.

Glob

Glob expresses themselves through shapes, not words, and physically shows their emotions. A neuro-diverse shapeshifter, they love playing pretend and becoming new things. Glob is very caring and protective of their friends–especially Itty–and is always coming to the rescue in hilarious ways!

Wedge

Wedge can be cautious and careful, but is capable of feats of great derring-do with the encouragement of friends! A triple-threat trilingual character, Wedge is super into arts and crafts, loves to help others and is the ultimate team player.

Itty

Itty is the baby of the group and is just learning to speak. Like the world’s happiest toddler, they bounce through life and radiate positivity! Communicates with giggles, goos, and the occasional upchuck if upset.
