New Animated Series by Critically Acclaimed Author Alissa Nutting and Emmy-Nominated Producer Alyson Levy Premieres in 2021

Adult Swim, the #1 destination for young adults, announced the pick-up of Teenage Euthanasia, a dystopic coming-of-all-ages comedy series about death, family, and accidental resurrection.

The animated series is co-created by Alissa Nutting, a New York Times Editor’s Choice writer (Made for Love) and Emmy-nominated producer, Alyson Levy (The Shivering Truth). Teenage Euthanasia is currently in production and will premiere in 2021. It is produced by PFFR and animated by Augenblick Studios.

“With Teenage Euthanasia, Alissa and Alyson have created both a world and a family that everyone can relate to, laugh at, and ultimately feel relieved that they aren’t a part of,” said Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim.

Set in a mildly apocalyptic near-future, Teenage Euthanasia centers around the Fantasy Family and their inland Florida funeral home, Tender Endings. The cast of characters include recently undead Trophy Fantasy (voiced by Maria Bamford); her teenage daughter, Euthanasia “Annie” Fantasy (voiced by Jo Firestone); Annie’s Oedipus-complex-stricken Uncle Pete (voiced by Tim Robinson); and Annie’s “old country” immigrant grandmother Baba (voiced by Bebe Neuwirth).

As a teen mom, Trophy ran away from home, leaving Annie behind to be raised by her Baba and Uncle Pete. Fifteen years later, Trophy finally returns to Tender Endings…as a corpse, for burial. But when a bolt of lightning strikes Baba’s homemade embalming fluid, and one of Annie’s tears magically bring Trophy back from the dead, Trophy finds herself a resurrected woman with a second chance at unplanned parenthood (and a variety of quasi-useful death powers).

Fan Favorite Character Unveiled to Fans at Adult Swim Festival

Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland meets the newly realized Butter Robot.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products with Adult Swim just announced at their annual Adult Swim Festival that the network has partnered with Digital Dream Labs to produce a limited-edition Butter Robot inspired by the Emmy award-winning animated series and global phenomenon, Rick and Morty.

“Our partnership with Digital Dream Labs gave us the opportunity to deliver the creative storytelling of Rick and Morty in an incredibly unexpected way that we believe will not only resonate with fans, but ultimately deepen their engagement with the property,” said Robert Oberschelp, Senior Vice President, Global Brand Product, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “The Butter Robot is not only innovative, but a really fun way to pass the butter.”

A fan favorite character from season one, the Butter Robot is now available for pre-order for the holidays. Straight from the Citadel of Ricks, the Butter Robot is a nearly-sentient robot that was created for the sole purpose of passing butter. With its lifelike movement and trademark voice, the Butter Robot is sure to deliver hours of fun, all while its complex “emotion engine” creates unique interactions as it struggles with a need for purpose.

Rick and Morty Inspired Drink Launches For Adult Swim Festival

He turned himself into a can of Pickle Seltzer, Morty. Pickle Rick Miracle Seltzer is coming to #AdultSwimFestival, November 13-14.

Adult Swim announced today they have partnered with MIRACLE SELTZER to produce a limited-edition Pickle Rick seltzer inspired by the Emmy award-winning series and global phenomenon, Rick and Morty.

The Pickle Rick MIRACLE SELTZER will launch in conjunction with this year’s global virtual Adult Swim Festival, streaming on the Adult Swim YouTube channel, Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th, which also happens to be National Pickle Day.
