‘GARAGE REHAB’ STAR RUSSELL J. HOLMES REIGNITES STALLED RENOS BACK ON TRACK IN NEW HGTV SERIES ‘RENOVATION IMPOSSIBLE’

New York [August 11, 2022] Dallas-based contractor Russell J. Holmes will help clients on tight budgets rev up their stalled home renos in the new HGTV series Renovation Impossible, premiering Thursday, Sept. 8, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. During the series, Russell, best known from Discovery’s Garage Rehab and Fast N’ Loud, will salvage projects hampered by homeowner’s unrealistic expectations and opposing design visions. With more than 20 years of construction experience under his belt, Russell knows how to move quickly to keep costs low, where to spend strategically to get maximum results, and, with help from designer Paige Poupart, find savvy ways to thrift and repurpose items, delivering gorgeous results every time.

“It’s not always easy with strict budgets and clients who don’t alway see eye-to-eye on renovation decisions. This is where I step in,” said Russell. “I use tough love, creative solutions and a lot of elbow grease to help clients turn their house into a home that they will love for years to come.”

The season opener will spotlight clients Jessica and Joseph, whose hodge-podge, mid-century house needs a major makeover to make it liveable for the family of four. Unsure of how to proceed and plagued by conflicting design opinions, Jessica and Joseph will turn to Russell and his team to take over the seemingly impossible project. After learning what design elements are important to each person, Russell will present a renovation plan that blends it all beautifully – and keeps it on budget. The cost savings gained with the couples’ sweat equity and a willingness to keep a few of the home’s original features, as well as clever repurposing and upcycling of items they already own, allows more money for a stunning modern kitchen, a fresh family room and more.

“It’s an incredible feeling to give people the home they really wanted,” said Russell. “We open their eyes to what they can really do with their money. Now they can move forward and make new memories with their families.”

‘GOOD BONES’ STAR MINA STARSIAK HAWK GETS SOLO SPIN-OFF SERIES ‘GOOD BONES: RISKY BUSINESS’ ON HGTV

New York [August 10, 2022] Good Bones renovation dynamo Mina Starsiak Hawk will take on the biggest, riskiest renovation challenge of her career in her own spin-off series, Good Bones: Risky Business. Premiering Tuesday, September 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV and discovery+, the six-episode series will feature Mina boldly going solo to purchase the historic Sanders House in the Indianapolis neighborhood of Fountain Square. More than a century old, the 7,000 square-foot property – which includes the main home and a carriage house – will be the largest project Mina has ever tackled in terms of size and budget and will require precise restoration to return it to its former glory.

“I’ve been renovating homes for more than a decade, taking on some of the nastiest houses you can imagine,” said Mina. “Now I’m taking on my dream project, turning a massive Victorian-style property into a bed and breakfast/event space, but it could easily become a nightmare. It’s a huge risk, but I love a challenge!”

In the premiere episode, Mina will strategize how to manage the pricey renovation without breaking the budget and then will roll up her sleeves to get things started. Throughout the series, she must adjust to working with a whole new team, deal with an array of unexpected costs and power through the inevitable challenges that come with updating very old construction. Above all, Mina will fearlessly put every ounce of her home reno expertise on the line in hopes of making each big risk pay off with big rewards.

“I’m so excited that viewers are going to be able to join me on this adventure,” added Mina.

WHAT: Farmhouse Fixer

WHERE/WHEN: Premieres Wednesday, August 24, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV and available to stream on discovery+

WHO: Farmhouse fanatic and avid home renovator, Jonathan Knight, will bring more centuries-old New England farmhouses back to life in a new season of the hit HGTV series, Farmhouse Fixer. The new episodes will follow Jonathan, best known as a member of the Grammy(R)-nominated band New Kids on the Block, and designer Kristina Crestin, as they renovate old properties into exquisite modern homes, all while keeping the original charm. This season, fans also can look forward to multiple guest appearances from fellow HGTV stars including Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis (Unsellable Houses), Jenny Marrs (Fixer to Fabulous) and Mike Lemieux (Houses with History). In addition, Jonathan will offer his expertise to TLC stars Bill Klein and Jennifer Arnold (The Little Couple) as they look for a farmhouse in New England.

In the season premiere, Jonathan will help the Kuprycz family, who recently purchased a 1798 farmhouse in New Hampshire. The family, who live on the west coast, needs Jonathan to transform the cramped, mismatched house before they arrive. Undaunted by the long-distance renovation, Jonathan will step in to make the ramshackle old house into a gorgeous family home.

Farmhouse Fixer is produced by High Noon Entertainment.
