NEW YORK, NY – January 27, 2022 – FYI is bringing diversity and inclusion to the forefront of automotive storytelling with a new multiplatform limited series, United We Drive, on A+E Networks’ DRIVE block. Hosted by NASCAR Cup Series driver, Daniel Suárez, United We Drive, explores the stories of genuine friendships between people from different walks of life forged over a shared love of classic cars. The limited series will air two 30-minute back-to-back episodes Thursday, February 3rd at 10PM on FYI. Complementary 60-second short form pieces will air across the DRIVE block on FYI and The HISTORY Channel, while bespoke 2-3 minute pieces are featured on FYI’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

Classic car enthusiasts also have the chance to be featured in future United We Drive episodes and bespoke content by submitting their own stories on FYI’s website.

“The original concept for United We Drive came from a classic car enthusiast who found that his love of classic cars created lasting friendships in seemingly unlikely places,” said Christian Murphy, head of Enthusiast Brands at A+E Networks. “His story and the others featured in the series will surprise viewers, and hopefully teach us all something about finding common ground. Of course, United We Drive will also dig into the amazing features of the cars and highlight the outstanding work of these collectors, which ultimately brought them together.”

Each magazine-style episode reveals stories of people who have experienced the unifying passion and power of classic cars, underscoring how a shared admiration for automotive craftmanship can unite people from all races, genders, ages, and economic statuses. Daniel Suárez of NASCAR’s Trackhouse Racing Team takes viewers on a heartfelt joyride, introducing each story and sharing some of his own experiences on the path to racing success. Suárez was the first Mexican driver to win the NASCAR Xfinity Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year award in 2015 and in 2016 became the first foreign-born driver to win the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship as well as the first NASCAR Drive for Diversity graduate to win a NASCAR national series title.

Broadcast of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Will Span Six Days From January 24th to January 29th

NEW YORK, NY – January 20, 2022 – FYI and The HISTORY Channel today announced the broadcast schedule for its live coverage of Barrett-Jackson’s 2022 Scottsdale Auction. Barrett-Jackson LIVE: Scottsdale celebrates 50 years of the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, with 38 hours of live coverage, premiering January 24 on FYI and culminating January 29 with six hours of evening coverage on The HISTORY Channel. This year’s Scottsdale auction features one of the most spectacular collector car dockets ever, along with celebrity appearances and charitable auctions.

The coverage of this year’s No Reserve auction will see over 1,800 vehicles cross the auction block. Some of the highlights and most sought-after vehicles on the docket include, a 2014 McLaren P1, the world’s first hybrid supercar, a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, one of only 918 hybrid hypercars produced, and a highly desirable 2004 Porsche Carrera GT. Several spectacular Shelby vehicles and big block American muscle cars will also be crossing the auction block, including a 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 CSX 3356, 1962 Shelby Cobra CSX 2032 famously referred to as the “Lance Reventlow Cobra” and an original “survivor” 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird with just over 6,000 miles.

In addition to the spectacular selection of collector vehicles available for purchase, the auction will be attended by numerous celebrity icons, including superstars such as Pitbull and Bret Michaels that will be in attendance in support of charitable causes. Pitbull will accompany a 2022 Karma GS-6 being auctioned to benefit The SLAM Foundation and Selfless Love Foundation, organizations focused on bettering the lives of underserved youth. Bret Michaels will be in attendance to auction his personal 2007 Bentley Continental GT in support of the Life Rocks Foundation, and to support the auction of a 1973 DeTomaso Pantera benefiting the Barrow Neurological Foundation. Danny Koker of Counting Cars on The HISTORY Channel will also be in attendance to sell a rare 1999 Shelby Series 1 Roadster.

“From Scratch” follows actor/producer/adventurer David Moscow on a worldwide expedition making meals literally from scratch. After being presented a recipe from a chef, David must hunt, dive, gather, forage and grow each ingredient to remake the meal, revealing the overwhelming amount of work, craftmanship and passion that brings everyday ingredients into the kitchen. “From Scratch” highlights the fragility of our environment and food supplies as global climate changes and species face pollution, habitat destruction, overfishing, monoculture and other threats. Moscow’s travels have given him the opportunity to meet and work with people creating sustainable alternatives against high odds.

Season 2 will find Moscow and his crew navigating new territory while traveling and filming during a global pandemic, arriving in a country during a parliamentary coup and the aftereffects of a hurricane. Mosow will visit Utah, Wyoming, Washington State, Malta, Kenya, Croatia, Costa Rica and Peru and will make dishes with the help from the Massai, the Dene (Navajo), at the 6th best restaurant in the world and with one of the top food trucks in American which is run by a Native American woman.

“From Scratch” is produced by UnLTD Productions. David Moscow is host, executive producer and co-creator with Karen Moscow. Jordan Harman and Christian Murphy serve as executive producers for A+E Networks/FYI. Other executive producers include Jason Dreyer and Karen Moscow and Shannon Hunt.

Since making his feature film debut in Big, David Moscow has gone on to work as a producer and actor, appearing in films, on television and on stage. His film credits include Newsies with Christian Bale, Honey opposite Jessica Alba and roles in Just Married and Riding in Cars with Boys, among others. He has starred on several network television series including “Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane,” and has guested on numerous shows including “Seinfeld.” He co-developed and co-produced Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first stage production of In the Heights.
