FOX SPORTS FILMS ACQUIRES LONG-ANTICIPATED DOCUMENTARY “THE PERFECT 10” SHOWCASING THE MOST ELITE CLUB IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL

Executive Produced by Hall of Fame Village Media, NFL Great Tim Brown and Directed by NFL Films’ Four-time Emmy Award Winner Steve Trout, Documentary Showcases the Only 10 Men in the History of Football Who Have Won the Heisman Trophy and Been Enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

LOS ANGELES – Today, FOX Sports Films announces it has acquired rights to the long-anticipated sports documentary, THE PERFECT 10, and will co-produce the film, which shines a spotlight on the only 10 legendary football icons who have achieved one of the rarest dual accomplishments in all professional sports: winning the coveted Heisman Trophy and being enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Executive produced in partnership with Hall of Fame Village Media (HOFV), Heisman Trophy Winner and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Tim Brown, H2H Productions and NFL Films, THE PERFECT 10 is directed by four-time Emmy winner Steve Trout (“Hard Knocks” and “All or Nothing”) and will air timed to NFL Honors during the week of FOX’s Super Bowl LVII programming schedule.

“FOX Sports is honored to partner with NFL Films, H2H Productions and Hall of Fame Village Media to present this captivating film that highlights the extraordinary careers of the greatest athletes to ever play football,” said Barry Nugent, Executive Producer, Development & Original Programming, FOX Sports. “To be able to bring these incredible legends of the sport together to talk candidly about their careers and achievements is truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment to witness. Debuting the film timed to Super Bowl LVII makes it particularly special and can’t-miss.”

“We are very excited to partner and distribute this extraordinary documentary with FOX Sports,” said Olivia Steier, an Executive Producer and EVP of Media at HOFV. “After shepherding this project through development and production, we look forward to viewers getting holistic insight into the distinguishing characteristics that separates these incredible athletes from their peers.”

THE PERFECT 10 brings seven of the 10 legendary football greats together for the first time to reminisce, share stories and their life journeys to achieve the rare accomplishment they all have in common, winning the Heisman and entering the Hall. The group has launched a brand and foundation, known as H2H, and the legends who sat down for the once-in-a-lifetime conversation, while the cameras rolled, include Marcus Allen, Tim Brown, Earl Campbell, Tony Dorsett, Barry Sanders, Roger Staubach and FOX Sports’ very own Charles Woodson. Through rare archival footage and a first-person narrative, the film examines the tenacity, motivation and the full impact of their sustained excellence while delving deep into each player’s life and career. While the on-field accomplishments of these athletes speak for themselves, the film also shares their off-field personas and the intimate details of their past that fully define them. THE PERFECT 10 is not necessarily a football story, it is a life story. The accomplishment is so rare that “More Men Have Walked on the Moon.”

“In nearly 20 years in this business, I’ve never witnessed anything like the sight of these legends in the same room at the same time – it’s like the greatest clubhouse in football history,” said Steve Trout, Senior Producer and Director, NFL Films.

“We began talking about telling this story of this rare accomplishment over four years ago so we can find a way to create a legacy off the field, greater or equal to than the one we accomplished on the field. At that time there were only nine of us until Charles Woodson was enshrined in 2021, and The Perfect 10 was born,” said Tim Brown.

Added NFL legend and FOX Sports analyst Charles Woodson, “What an honor it is to be mentioned among nine of the other greatest college and NFL football players of all time. When Tim told me I would be just the tenth person to accomplish this magnificent feat, I had no idea. I’m so proud that this NFL films documentary will be told by FOX Sports, the network I call home, during Super Bowl week. Ten men, a bronze trophy, and a gold jacket. Yeah, I like the sound of that. Build your legend.”

FOX Sports Films is dedicated to presenting captivating global sports documentaries through an unconventional and entertaining lens. Working with FOX Sports’ league and conference partners, the brand produces original programming, connecting live sports events to sports culture.

FOX SPORTS PREMIERES FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022(TM) CREATIVE CAMPAIGN STARRING JON HAMM

New Commercial Campaign Celebrates the World’s Biggest Sporting Event Taking Place for the First Time Ever During the Holiday Season

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, today announces Emmy Award-winning actor Jon Hamm, executive producer and star of FOX’s upcoming animated comedy series “Grimsburg,” the upcoming comedy “Confess, Fletch” and star of “Top Gun: Maverick,” will star as Santa Claus in its new creative campaign for this year’s anticipated tournament. For the first time in history, the FIFA World CupTM will take place during the holiday season providing fans across America with the opportunity to watch the beautiful game on FOX Sports throughout November and December.

The network’s new teaser opens with Hamm sitting poolside, as Santa Claus, when he receives an urgent phone call from the North Pole regarding the FIFA World CupTM taking place during the holiday season – his season. At the North Pole, the elves are already celebrating the big news unaware their boss will be upset. Upon hearing the news from his head elf, Santa’s spirits are no longer jolly as he realizes he must now perform up against some of the greatest global soccer icons on the world stage, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. With a pout, Santa accepts this challenging feat and cuts his vacation short to get to work.

Robert Gottlieb, Executive Vice President, Marketing, FOX Sports, shared insight on the creative process that went into bringing the concept to life.

“One of the unique things about the FIFA World CupTM is that it’s a really communal experience where people want to get together with others to enjoy the event,” said Gottlieb. “To have that sync with the holidays this year for the first time ever, when we will all be gathering with friends and family, made for an incredible opportunity to embrace the holiday spirit in FOX Sports’ creative campaign. We look forward to following Santa on his soccer journey as he meets more surprise guest stars and becomes captivated with this year’s long-awaited tournament.”

FOX Sports’ FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM campaign debuts tonight during the Major League Baseball All-Star game on FOX and marks the first of three commercials set to launch in the lead-up to the tournament. Fans are encouraged to keep watching FOX Sports for the next installments featuring Hamm and a star-studded lineup.

From Monday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Dec. 18, FOX Sports will present all 64 FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 TM matches live across FOX and FS1 with every match live streaming on the FOX Sports app. In addition, every FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022(TM) match will be available on-demand for free on Tubi in the U.S. Click here to view the broadcast schedule.

FOX SPORTS UNVEILS LEAD NFL BROADCAST TEAM FOR ITS 2022-23 SEASON AND SUPER BOWL LVII

Three-Time Pro Bowler Greg Olsen Joins Acclaimed Play-By-Play Announcer Kevin Burkhardt in Network’s Top Booth

Award-Winning Reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi Return to the Sidelines

NEW YORK – FOX Sports – the most-watched NFL network – names three-time NFL Pro Bowler Greg Olsen as this season’s lead NFL analyst, joining renowned play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt in the booth. Veteran reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi, along with trailblazing rules expert Mike Pereira, round out the team as they prepare for the network’s top regular and postseason games – culminating with FOX’s 10th all-time Super Bowl presentation.

“We’re thrilled to have this team steward our industry leading and award-winning coverage as we embark on our 29th NFL season, highlighted by our 10th Super Bowl,” said FOX Sports President of Production/Operations and Executive Producer Brad Zager. “Last season, Kevin and Greg showed viewers their undeniable chemistry and ability to call football at an elite level. We can’t wait for fans to see what they’re going to bring to AMERICA’S GAME OF THE WEEK, the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl LVII.”

Olsen was tapped by FOX Sports in 2021 to become the network’s No. 2 NFL game analyst, embarking on his rookie season alongside Burkhardt. The pair garnered high praise for their work and chemistry – a relationship that dates back nearly two decades to Olsen’s playing days at Wayne Hills High School. Burkhardt, at the time with WGHT, called a few of Olsen’s games and worked closely alongside his father, the team’s coach, to break down film. The New Jersey natives also previously crossed paths in 2017 when Olsen became the third active player in FOX’s history to serve as a game analyst.

Although Burkhardt and Olsen are no strangers to the NFL’s championship game – Burkhardt having previously called three Super Bowl world feeds and Olsen serving as an NFL studio analyst for FOX Sports’ coverage of Super Bowl LIV in Miami – Super Bowl LVII will be the first time they each call the national broadcast, respectively.

Alongside the new faces in the top NFL booth is a network mainstay as Andrews returns for her 12th season on the sidelines. The veteran reporter – who recently became the first female recipient of the prestigious Pat Summerall Award – has covered three Super Bowls and 10 NFC Championships. She continues to contribute exclusive interviews, such as her highly anticipated sit-down last season with Aaron Rodgers, and reports from FOX NFL’s top games each week.

Rinaldi, a 17-time Emmy Award winner and one of the industry’s most preeminent correspondents and storytellers, also returns to the field as a sideline reporter for FOX NFL’s lead broadcast team. Since joining FOX Sports in 2021, Rinaldi has already produced a number of extraordinary, thought-provoking pieces for the network including “Blood Brothers” and “In His Shoes.”

The team makes its regular season debut on Sunday, Sept. 11, from Minneapolis, as the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers in an NFC North showdown on AMERICA’S GAME OF THE WEEK.

FOX Sports’ complete NFL broadcaster lineup for the 2022-23 season will be announced at a later date.
