Apple today announced the premiere date and unveiled a first-look at “Echo 3,” the 10-episode action-thriller created by Academy Award-winner Mark Boal (“The Hurt Locker,” “Zero Dark Thirty”), and starring Luke Evans and Michiel Huisman alongside Jessica Ann Collins. Filmed in Colombia with English and Spanish dialogue, the Apple Original series produced by Keshet Studios will make its global debut with the first three episodes on Wednesday, November 23, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday through January 13, 2023.
“Echo 3” is an action-packed thriller set in South America that follows Amber Chesborough (Collins), a brilliant young scientist who is the emotional heart of a small American family. When Amber goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border, her brother, Bambi (Evans), and her husband, Prince (Huisman) – two men with deep military experience and complicated pasts – struggle to find her in a layered personal drama, set against the explosive backdrop of a secret war. “Echo 3” also stars Martina Gusman as “Violetta,” a prominent political columnist. The series features James Udom, Maria Del Rosario, Alejandro Furth, Juan Pablo Raba and special guest star, Bradley Whitford. “Echo 3” is also based on the award-winning series “When Heroes Fly,” created by Omri Givon, and inspired by the eponymous novel by Amir Gutfreund.

Apple TV+ today unveiled the premiere dates for highly anticipated, hit series set to return with new seasons this fall, beginning with “The Mosquito Coast” continuing its high-stakes journey in season two on November 4; celebrated workplace comedy “Mythic Quest” returning for season three on November 11; widely acclaimed spy drama “Slow Horses” season two premiering on December 2; and, the Independent Spirit Award-nominated anthology “Little America” returning with eight brand new, heartfelt installments on December 9.

Based on Paul Theroux’s best-selling novel and starring Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish, and Gabriel Bateman, “The Mosquito Coast” follows the dangerous journey of Allie Fox, a brilliant inventor and stubborn idealist, who uproots his family on a dangerous quest to find refuge from the U.S. government, cartels, and hitmen. In season two, after barely escaping Mexico with their lives, the Foxes venture deep into the Guatemalan jungle to meet up with an old friend and her community of refugees. This new refuge creates trouble for the Foxes though when they become entangled in a conflict between the scions of a local drug lord. At odds about whether to settle down or keep moving, Allie and Margot pursue different paths to secure their family’s future. The outcome of which will either unite the family or tear it apart forever.
The second season of “The Mosquito Coast” is executive produced by Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer, Stefan Schwartz, Evan Katz, Rupert Wyatt, author Paul Theroux, and series star Justin Theroux. Season three premieres Friday, November 11
Returning for its highly anticipated 10-episode third season this fall, “Mythic Quest” is the workplace comedy from creators Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz that follows a group of video game developers tasked with building worlds, molding heroes and creating legends, but the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game — they happen in the office.
In season three, as Ian and Poppy navigate the gaming world and their partnership at the newly formed GrimPop Studios, Dana is forced to play mediator to her bosses’ incessant bickering. Back at Mythic Quest, David settles into his new role as the boss where he truly finds himself in charge for the first time with Jo returning as his assistant — more loyal and militant than ever; and Carol attempts to figure out where she fits in after a new promotion. At Berkeley, Rachel struggles to balance her morals with capitalism, while a post-prison Brad tries to return to society as a reformed man.

“Slow Horses” is a darkly humorous espionage drama that follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping-ground department of MI5 known un-affectionately as Slough House. Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they frequently find themselves blundering around the smoke and mirrors of the espionage world. Apple Original Films announced today a new untitled documentary film from Extracurricular and A24, featuring the story of the legendary ‘haenyeo’ of South Korea’s Jeju Island. The film is directed by Peabody Award nominee Sue Kim (“The Speed Cubers”), and is the first project from the Apple TV+ partnership with Malala Yousafzai’s production company Extracurricular.
The film tells the story of “Korea’s mermaids,” elderly free divers whose work catching seafood off the coast of Jeju Island has supported their community for generations. Matriarchs, breadwinners and rowdy grandmas, the haenyeo’s numbers have dwindled in the past few decades. But now their youngest descendants are helping to revive the revered and often dangerous lifestyle of their ancestors, while fighting to protect the ocean from looming environmental threat.
The co-production hails from Extracurricular, the production company of women’s rights activist and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, partnering with Apple TV+ to create original programming, and A24, who is also collaborating with Apple on the upcoming highly anticipated Steve Martin documentary.
Yousafzai and Erika Kennair, Extracurricular’s president of productions, will produce alongside A24.

Apple TV+ today announced a two-season straight-to-series order for “Untitled Vince Gilligan Project,” a new series helmed by acclaimed creator Vince Gilligan (“Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul”) and starring Emmy Award-nominee Rhea Seehorn (“Better Call Saul,” “Cooper’s Bar”) in the lead role.
Hailing from Sony Pictures Television, the new series will mark Gilligan’s first project following the creation of “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” It also marks the second collaboration for Gilligan with “Better Call Saul” star Seehorn, who recently landed an Emmy Award nomination for her widely celebrated performance in the series.
Gilligan will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Jeff Frost and Diane Mercer also executive produce, with Jenn Carroll producing for High Bridge Productions.
The “Untitled Vince Gilligan Project” is the latest Apple Original series from Sony Pictures Television, joining hit space drama series “For All Mankind,” which is currently in production on its fourth season; the highly anticipated series adaption of “Dark Matter,” starring Joel Edgerton, who also serves as executive producer, and Jennifer Connelly; the broadly acclaimed and hit murder-mystery comedy series “The Afterparty” from Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord; and, upcoming comedy “Platonic,” starring Emmy Award-nominee Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen.

The second season of the animated epic “Wolfboy and the Everything Factory” takes Wolfboy, voiced by Kassian Akhtar, to a new realm underneath the Everything Factory where Nyx attempts to lure him to the dark side. With his Spryte friends and new allies, Wolfboy engages in a quest to unite the forces of creation and destruction, and realizes that being different is what makes him special – and ultimately, it’s the oddballs and dreamers who change the world.
“Wolfboy and the Everything Factory” is inspired by the work of visual artist Toff Mazery, co-created with Emmy Award winner Edward Jesse (HITRECORD’s “Create Together”), developed by Emmy winner Michael Ryan (“All Hail King Julien,” “Kung Fu Panda”), and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Mr. Corman”), HITRECORD and FOX Entertainment’s Bento Box Entertainment.

New 12-episode Apple Original series premieres globally October 14 on Apple TV+
Apple TV+ today unveiled the trailer and new first-look images for “Shantaram,” its highly anticipated new drama starring Charlie Hunnam (“Sons of Anarchy”). Based on the internationally bestselling novel by Gregory David Roberts, “Shantaram” will make its global debut with the first three episodes of its 12-episode first season on Friday, October 14, 2022, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday through December 16, 2022, on Apple TV+.
“Shantaram” follows a fugitive named Lin Ford (Hunnam) looking to get lost in vibrant and chaotic 1980s Bombay. Alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin struggles to avoid the trouble he’s running from in this new place. After falling for an enigmatic and intriguing woman named Karla, Lin must choose between freedom or love and the complications that come with it.
In addition to Hunnam, the series also stars Shubham Saraf, Elektra Kilbey, Fayssal Bazzi, Luke Pasqualino, Antonia Desplat, Alyy Khan, Sujaya Dasgupta, Vincent Perez, David Field, Alexander Siddig, Gabrielle Scharnitzky, Elham Ehsas, Rachel Kamath, Matthew Joseph and Shiv Palekar.
The series is co-created, written and executive produced by Steve Lightfoot, who also serves as showrunner. Bharat Nalluri directs and executive produces.
