New York, NY – March 31, 2022 – A&E Network has greenlit the two-hour documentary “Biography: Ol’ Dirty Bastard” (wt) which will be the first official feature documentary about the Grammy-nominated musician and legendary founding member of the iconic hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. Born Russell Jones in 1968 in Brooklyn, NY, ODB developed a unique persona and rhyme style that set him apart from his contemporaries. In his short 35 years of life and long after his passing, ODB has had a significant influence on a whole generation of fans and performers. With exclusive rights to a never-before-seen personal archive shot by his wife, Icelene Jones, and access to his closest friends and family, this culture-defining special humanizes ODB as a man, a father, and a husband like never before. This definitive documentary is co-directed by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Director Sam Pollard (MLK/FBI, Black Art: In The Absence of Light) alongside his son Jason Pollard (Get Me Roger Stone, Bitchin’ The Sound and Fury of Rick James) providing an intimate picture of ODB’s life and reflecting on his lasting impact on music and culture.

Produced by Pulse Films (AppleTV+’s Beastie Boys Story, Beyonce’s Lemonade and Katy Perry’s Part of Me) with Four Screens and the Ol’ Dirty Bastard Estate, the documentary will center on ODB’s solo career, from his first album release in 1995 until his untimely passing from a drug overdose in 2004. Charting his meteoric rise and heart-breaking fall, the film will interweave this modern narrative with looks back at his trauma-filled childhood to examine how it influenced the man and artist he would become. A celebration of his artistry and legacy, the documentary is an unflinching look at the complexities of his life including addiction, adultery, fame, mental illness, sudden wealth, race and criminal justice, and will ask the question of just how complicit the media and music industry were in hastening his demise.

NEW YORK, NY (March 15, 2022) – A+E Networks and GMC have partnered to present the special “Revolution: GMC HUMMER EV,” which documents the launch of the company’s first all-electric pickup. The one-hour feature follows the General Motors team members who helped lead the process of designing and building the 2022 GMC HUMMER EV, a first-of-its-kind zero-emissions vehicle. “Revolution: GMC HUMMER EV” will premiere in the DRIVE block on The HISTORY Channel on Sunday, March 27 at 11am ET, with an encore presentation on FYI on Thursday March 31 at 9pm. The documentary will also be available through The HISTORY Channel on digital, VOD and Hulu, as well as GMC’s YouTube channel starting Sunday, April 3.

Then, head to the scorching heat of Moab, Utah as they cross the desert and steep red rocks to fine-tune the truck’s off-road capability.

From house flipping to design inspiration, real estate tips, and food, Home.Made.Nation on A&E features an array of programs, including new series from celebrity cook and designer Rachael Ray, and former NFL players and brothers Geoff and Mitchell Schwartz.

Rachael Ray’s life changed forever when her home and all belongings were burned to the ground in a fire. This inspired Rachael to rebuild her dream home and made her realize how important home is to her. New York, NY – March 1, 2022 – A&E and WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced a multi-year expansion of their successful programming partnership with the commissioning of more than 130 new hours of premium WWE-themed series and specials to air exclusively on A&E platforms and to be distributed worldwide by A+E Networks.

The multi-platform partnership includes 35 new episodes of the genre-defining, Emmy-award winning franchise “Biography,” featuring documentaries on legends of WWE. Last year’s “Biography: WWE Legends” episodes drove “Biography” to become A&E’s most-watched series in 2021. WWE is also beginning production on 24 new episodes of the original series “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures,” which will air over multiple seasons. The first season of “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures” was A&E’s most-watched new series of last year.

A&E has also ordered 40 hours of the new series, “WWE Rivals” (working title). “WWE Rivals” (w.t.) will chronicle the little-known stories behind the biggest clashes in WWE history. The episodes will include revelatory insights from those who were a part of the rivalries that often extended far beyond the ring and the cameras.

Additional hours of original programming are currently in development as well.

New York, NY – February 24, 2022- A&E Network has greenlit the four-part limited documentary series “Exposing Parchman” following the long efforts to reform the Mississippi correctional system, led by the inmates of Parchman Prison. In December 2019, Parchman began to make national headlines for its large death toll attributable to violence and neglect. In a cry for help, brave and desperate inmates shared prohibited cell phone footage from inside. Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, entrepreneur and philanthropist Yo Gotti, Team Roc (Roc Nation’s philanthropic arm), and a group of lawyers stepped in to spearhead a civil rights lawsuit, filed on behalf of 29 inmates against the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The new series, from Good Caper Content and Roc Nation, delves into the developing legal case, looks inside the decaying prison, and unpacks Parchman’s shocking and disgraceful history. Through exclusive interviews, never-before-seen crime scene video and declassified FBI surveillance audio, the special unravels the hidden tale of how sex, jealousy, arson, hefty-bags filled with cash and mafia shakedowns all led up to one of the most outrageous murders in American history. The special will air across 4-weeks beginning Monday, March 14 at 10pm ET/PT following all-new episodes of “Secrets of Playboy” which was A&E’s #1 series launch in more than five years.

Launching its first show featuring male strippers in 1979, Chippendales became an overnight sensation with lines wrapping around the block. Creator Steve Banerjee immediately recognized the growth potential Chippendales had, thus bringing on Emmy-winning TV producer and choreographer Nick DeNoia to help him expand. When Banerjee signed an ill-advised contract on the back of a napkin that gave DeNoia rights to the touring productions of the show, the two men were set off on a collision course that would destroy the multi-million-dollar empire and ultimately cost DeNoia his life. However, Banerjee’s thirst for power didn’t end with DeNoia’s death. With rival nightclubs being set afire and the attempted murders of two ex-Chippendales employees, the FBI was faced with trying to bring Banerjee to justice and embarked upon a sting operation that spanned two continents.

Former dancers, producers, investigators and family members including Eddy Prevot, Hodari Sababu, Mike Waldron, Eric Gilbert, Christian Banerjee, and Tom and Cathy DeNoia share their stories of what being part of the Chippendales phenomenon was really like, and the heartbreak they suffered when it all came crashing down.
