New York, NY – May 17, 2022 – This June, AMC+ celebrates Pride Month with “Stream with Pride,” a curated collection of original series, specials, and films from across the company’s portfolio highlighting the voices of the LGBTQ+ community. Programming highlights include original series Dispatches from Elsewhere, Killing Eve, Orphan Black, The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, and Slo Pitch, as well as an extensive lineup of feature films and documentaries from Cannes Palme d’Or Winner Blue is the Warmest Colour to the critically-acclaimed Do I Sound Gay?, all headlined by the debut of AMC+ Original series, This is Going to Hurt. Exclusive new film premieres roll out every week in June with the AMC+ Friday Night Films lineup including action thriller White Elephant (June 3), Arabic-language thriller Huda’s Salon (June 10), futuristic sci-fi thriller I am Mortal (June 17) and the horror exclusive for the “The Final Friday,” Shudder Original Revealer (June 24).

AMC Networks’ targeted streaming services will also bring viewers an extensive catalogue of compelling dramas, fan-favorite franchises, highly anticipated films and timely collections on AMC+, Acorn TV, ALLBLK, IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder and Sundance Now all month long.

Martin Clunes (Doc Martin, Manhunt) embarks on an epic ocean wide adventure in search of the real Pacific in the latest installment of his popular travel series. His voyage is inspired by reading a book given to him when he was a child by his father about the Kon-Tiki expedition across the Pacific. Martin has always yearned to follow in those explorers’ footsteps. Terror Lake Drive, ALLBLK’s popular thriller following the terrorized tenants of the fictional Freeman Lake Apartments, returns with a second season, entitled “Single Black Female.” Tony Award-nominated actress Pascale Armand (Eclipsed), Yolanda Ross (The Chi), Charles Malik Whitfield (Chicago Med), Denise Boutte (Meet the Browns), and Kendrick Cross (Ambitions) will star in the newest installment of the anthology series created by Jerry LaMothe (Blackout) and Kajuana S. Marie. This season brings a new, unsuspecting tenant to the mystifying lakeside apartment complex that terrorized a mother and her young son in Season 1.

A new provocative and heartfelt comedy-drama starring Ben Whishaw (A Very English Scandal, No Time to Die), based on Adam Kay’s award-winning international memoir of the same name. This Is Going To Hurt pulls no punches in its depiction of the laugh-out-loud highs and gut-wrenching lows of life on a gynecology and obstetrics ward. The series follows Adam (Whishaw), a doctor who is finding his way through the ranks of hospital hierarchy; junior enough to suffer the crippling hours, but senior enough to face a constant barrage of terrifying responsibilities. Adam is clinging to his personal life as he is increasingly overwhelmed by stresses at work: the 97-hour weeks, the life-and-death decisions, and all-the-while knowing the hospital parking meter is earning more than him.

Dark Winds
Two-Episode Premiere on Sunday, June 12; Subsequent Episodes Released One Week Ahead of AMC

Set in 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, Dark Winds follows Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon, The Son, Westworld, Fargo) of the Tribal Police as he is besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. The closer he digs to the truth, the more he exposes the wounds of his past. He is joined on this journey by his new deputy, Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon, The Red Road, Roswell, New Mexico). Chee, too, has old scores to settle from his youth on the reservation. Together, the two men battle the forces of evil, each other, and their own personal demons on the path to salvation.

After a devastating end to season two as Hannah (Nicola Walker, Four Weddings & a Funeral) and Nathan’s (Stephen Mangan, Episodes) marriage fell apart, we join the couple ten months on in the rubble of their previously rock-solid 20-year marriage. Both lawyers have been respectfully negotiating their separation and seem to have reached an amicable agreement, but Hannah becomes acutely aware of what she’s about to lose. But when a shocking revelation dramatically changes the stakes, any hope of remaining amicable vanishes. Is their split too deep to repair?

The Wisting (Sundance Now Exclusive)
Season 2 Part 2 Binge Premieres Thursday, June 30

A convicted killer escapes from Detective Wisting’s custody by triggering a grenade during the inspection of a potential crime scene in the woods. The killer, who promised to reveal the location of yet another murder victim, instead blasts his way to freedom with the help of a former accomplice, injuring police officers in the process. The case is now personal for the entire Larvik police force. Wisting embarks on some of the most intense days of his life as he must manage his revenge-thirsty team, as well as stop the two criminals before they continue their killing spree. The case also becomes personal for the detective’s daughter, Line, who is shooting a true crime-documentary about serial killers and was the one who instigated the whole inspection. Episode 204 – “Serpent and the Rainbow” – Premieres Thursday, April 28 on Shudder

Wes Craven and his crew set out on a great adventure–the staging of a major motion picture production in Haiti at the tail end of a violent political revolution. The film, The Serpent and the Rainbow, is based on the true experiences of anthropologist Wade Davis, who details his unbelievable search for an elusive “zombie powder”, and the complicated relationship he has with Craven’s interpretation of his story. Producer David Ladd and actors Bill Pullman and Cathy Tyson recount the challenges and strange occurrences they experienced on set.

Episode 205 – “Cannibal Holocaust” – Premieres Thursday, May 5 on Shudder *SEASON FINALE*

Cursed Films travels to Roma, Italy to discuss the making of what is arguably the most controversial horror film ever made. Writer/Director Ruggero Deodato discusses the film from concept through creation, including the famous court case that saw him defending himself for the murder of a performer in the heart of the Amazon. Meanwhile, his cast and crew detail the struggles they faced while trying to meet the expectations of a demanding director, who continually pushed them towards their breaking point.

At an awards ceremony, Ogden is thrilled by a generous pledge from Councilman Rekker for her women’s health center. Then the night’s honoree, satirical cartoonist Rexford Denison, is accosted by a businessman claiming his poison pen ruined him. Moments later Denison is shot dead. After a scathing cartoon of Rekker and the mayor’s wife is published, Ogden’s prime backer becomes the prime suspect.

Acorn TV today revealed the official trailer and premiere date for the three-part detective drama series Signora Volpe starring Emilia Fox (Silent Witness, Delicious, The Pianist). Filmed on location in the stunning Lazio and Umbria regions in Italy, this contemporary Acorn TV Original series will make its debut on Monday, May 2 on Acorn TV, AMC Networks’ acclaimed streamer devoted to British and international television. Questions about her professional life are met with bland answers about an unspectacular career in the Civil Service. Which is only very slightly true – because until recently, Sylvia was a high-ranking British spy. When Sylvia arrives in Italy for the wedding of her niece Alice, she’s disillusioned with her job at MI6 headquarters in London, and in need of a break. But then the bridegroom disappears, leaving a dead body in the lake at the bottom of his garden, and Sylvia takes it upon herself to solve the mystery and save Alice from disaster.

Despite the unpromising start to her holiday, Sylvia is enchanted by Umbria, the green heart of Italy, and is surprised and pleased to find herself reconnecting with her estranged sister Isabel Vitale (Tara Fitzgerald – Game of Thrones, Belgravia), who lives in the handsome hillside town of Panicale. When she stumbles upon a beautiful, derelict old house, Sylvia decides to buy it, quit her job and start afresh.

But Sylvia was never cut out for a quiet life and finds herself involved in a bevy of fresh mysteries – from the disappearance of a young woman a quarter of a century ago, to the theft of a truffle pig, and a blackmail plot against the son of a Russian politician. New York, NY – March 1, 2022 – AMC Networks today announced the launch of AMC Networks Publishing, a book publishing arm that will work with established and up-and-coming talent in developing, producing and selling fan-focused specialty books, comics, original graphic novels and more. On the heels of the successful debut of The Art of AMC’s The Walking Dead Universe coffee-table book, in partnership with Image Comics and Skybound, which remains a top seller on the official The Walking Dead Universe shop, AMC Networks Publishing will debut several new projects this year, including two comic series — Nights of Lono by Metallica’s lead guitarist and horror aficionado Kirk Hammett and his writing partner/co-creator Marcel Feldmar, and Oubliette from New York Times Bestselling author, Brenden Fletcher (Batgirl, Gotham Academy) – and two books based on AMC Networks’ hit shows, including the original graphic novel Miss Fisher’s First Mysteries based on the popular Acorn TV series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, and Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream (working title), from Cartel Entertainment and Creepshow showrunner and executive producer Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) and brokered by Striker Entertainment, a coffee-table book which includes a foreword by Hammett, as well as an afterword by legendary storyteller Stephen King.

The first title to debut this year is Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream (working title), based on the hit anthology series from Nicotero, Stan Spry (The Cartel), Russell Binder (Striker Entertainment), and in partnership with Titan Books. The coffee-table book is written by Dennis Prince, designed by John J. Hill, and co-produced by Julia Hobgood, and brings fans behind-the-scenes of the acclaimed Creepshow series with deep dives into its riveting origins, gripping development, provocative production, sinister special effects, and much more. The series has been heralded as “an irresistibly macabre package,” (Slant Magazine) and “an undeniable love letter to all generations of horror fans,” (CBR), and over three seasons, has been one of the most watched programs on Shudder.

“I grew up wearing down my fingertips paging through books on the making of my favorite movies,” said Nicotero. “I was ravenous to learn the behind-the-scenes secrets. So, I’m excited to be able to present a glimpse behind the making of this epic show!”

A new original graphic novel, Miss Fisher’s First Mysteries (working title) is based on the hit Acorn TV series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (adapted from the best-selling novels by Australian author Kerry Greenwood) and written by award-winning and New York Times Bestselling author Cecil Castelluci (Shade The Changing Girl, Star Wars: Moving Target) and in partnership with Every Cloud Productions. In the graphic novel, the year is 1917 and there is no way the ivy-covered walls of a posh English finishing school will hold the rebellious spirit of the Honorable Miss Fisher. Outraged when her childhood friend is accused of murder, young Phryne stages a daring escape and braves the high seas as a stowaway – bound for danger and romance in the dark alleys, dubious theatres and glamorous mansions of wartime Melbourne.

Hammett and Feldmar’s Nights of Lono (working title) tells the story of a troubled female detective in 1989 Hawaii who is hired to find King Kamehameha’s tomb before it is discovered by an unscrupulous occultist from the mainland. A mix of mystery and supernatural adventure, the story is a self-aware journey through standard detective tropes and cliches that are sharpened and given new life with fresh takes on the myths and folklore of the Hawaiian Islands.

Brenden Fletcher’s folk horror mystery series, Oubliette (working title), takes place in a small town where people live by a simple rule: “If you were born of the earth around the lake, then around the lake you shall stay until you return to the earth”. The story explores the struggle of a woman who escaped the impossible gravity of her birthplace only to be drawn home to bury her father. She finds herself once again trapped in a cycle of pain and regret as she digs into the mystery of the sinkhole that drained the lake and took her father’s life. There’s something dark and wicked down there, in that hole in the lake. Something that’s been waiting a long, long time to come to the surface…

Earlier projects under the AMC Networks Publishing banner include 11 Weeks of TWD Art, which featured 11 custom pieces of artwork looking back at significant moments from each season of the show’s decade-long run. Based on Jørn Lier Horst’s crime novel ‘The Inner Darkness,’ this latest installment in the series literally opens with a bang. A convicted killer escapes from Detective Wisting’s custody by triggering a grenade during the inspection of a potential crime scene in the woods. The killer, who promised to reveal the location of yet another murder victim, instead blasts his way to freedom with the help of a former accomplice, injuring police officers in the process. The case is now personal for the entire Larvik police force. Wisting (Sven Nordin) embarks on some of the most intense days of his life as he must manage his revenge-thirsty team, as well as stop the two criminals before they continue their killing spree. The case also becomes personal for the detective’s daughter, Line (Thea Green Lundberg), who is shooting a true crime documentary about serial killers and was the one who instigated the whole inspection.

New York, NY – February 10, 2022 – AMC Networks announced today from the Television Critics’ Association (TCA) Press Tour, the renewal of six original series across its suite of premium streaming services, including shows from AMC+, Acorn TV and Shudder. The AMC+ Original hit Irish crime drama Kin is getting a second season; Acorn TV Original series Bloodlands and My Life is Murder are both renewed for seasons 2 and 3, respectively, along with London Kills for seasons 3 and 4. Shudder has ordered new seasons for two acclaimed anthologies, including a fourth season for Greg Nicotero’s Creepshow and a new installment in the Slasher franchise, titled Slasher: Ripper and starring Eric McCormack (Will & Grace). McCormack will play the role of Basil Garvey, a charismatic tycoon whose success is only rivaled by his ruthlessness, as he oversees a city on the cusp of a new century, and a social upheaval that will see its streets run red with blood.

Viewers were enthralled by the first season of AMC+’s gripping Irish gangland drama Kin which became one of AMC+’s biggest new series launches of 2021, driving both strong viewership and new subscriber sign-ups. A hit with both audiences and critics, scoring 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, the series starring Charlie Cox (Daredevil, Boardwalk Empire), Clare Dunne (Herself), Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and Ciarán Hinds (Game of Thrones, The Terror) charts the lives of the Kinsellas, a small but tight-knit crime family embroiled in a war against a powerful drug kingpin, Eamon Cunningham (Hinds). The new season, which begins production this summer, will see the Kinsellas as the top dogs in Dublin, but killing Eamon Cunningham has created as many problems as it solved. They have incurred the wrath of an enemy even more dangerous than him. And where once there was “the unbreakable bonds of blood and family,” now there is only suspicion, distrust and resentment. But the greatest threat to the family emerges from “within” – in the shape of ruthless, bullying, agent of chaos. Fortunately, from positions of great adversity the boldest plans are often forged. Fans of mysteries from Britain and beyond will be delighted by a trio of popular returning Acorn TV Original series, including gritty Irish crime thriller Bloodlands, starring James Nesbitt (Stay Close, Cold Feet); New Zealand mystery My Life is Murder, starring Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus); and fast-moving British police procedural London Kills, starring Hugo Speer (Shadow and Bone).

In the action-packed season 2 of Bloodlands, a top performer for Acorn TV, Nesbitt reprises his role as DCI Tom Brannick when the murder of a crooked accountant unravels a trail of greed that threatens to expose his identity as legendary assassin, Goliath, Tom and the accountant’s widow, Olivia (Victoria Smurfit, Marcella, Once Upon a Time), must keep each other dangerously close. As they try to solve the riddle her husband left behind, Tom and Olivia draw in Tom’s fellow officers DS Niamh McGovern (Charlene McKenna, Peaky Blinders) DCS Jacki Twomey (Lorcan Cranitch, The Last Kingdom) and DC “Birdy” Bird (Chris Walley, The Young Offenders), as well as his daughter, Izzy (Lola Petticrew, Tuesday), until deceit and betrayal build into a shattering climax. The wildly popular and Acorn TV subscriber driver My Life is Murder returns with retired detective and sourdough superstar Alexa Crowe (Lawless) in 10 new episodes facing a raft of fascinating, powerful and surprising suspects – from eccentric billionaires and grieving florists to tango dancers and fiery fashionistas. The only thing they have in common is that none of them are expecting Alexa’s unique brand of crime solving… but they’ll quickly learn that you underestimate her at your own risk. Her small ‘found family’ of fierce supporters, friends and fellow investigators are back: partner-in-crime-solving, Madison (Ebony Vagulans), charismatic detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe), and café owner Reuben (Joe Naufahu, Game of Thrones) – and that’s before her actual family members turn up to add their own drama and chaos. Returning with its cutting-edge documentary style, London Kills dramatizes the experiences of an elite murder investigation squad in central London, led by Detective Inspector David Bradford (Speer) and the core cast including Sharon Small (Mistresses, Murderland) as Detective Sergeant Vivienne Cole, Bailey Patrick (People Just Do Nothing, Bodyguard, Casualty, EastEnders) as Detective Constable Rob Brady and Tori Allen-Martin (Unforgotten, Pure) as Trainee Detective Constable Billie Fitzgerald. In season 3, the elite murder investigation team deals with a series of killings – which turn out to be linked. It soon becomes clear that the killer has access to information from within the police service itself – are the detectives hunting one of their own? In season 4, Bradford has always been a maverick, but now his behavior is spinning out of control. Cole thinks she knows why David is falling to pieces, but the real reason is darker than she could ever imagine.

Shudder’s Slasher: Ripper, set to begin production this spring, takes the Slasher franchise back in time to the late 19th century — there’s a killer stalking the mean streets, but instead of targeting the poor and downtrodden like Jack the Ripper, The Widow is meting out justice against the rich and powerful. The only person standing in the way of this killer is the newly promoted detective, Kenneth Rijkers, whose ironclad belief in justice may wind up being yet another victim of The Widow. Developed and produced by Shaftesbury, Slasher: Ripper is executive produced by Christina Jennings, Scott Garvie, Thomas P. Vitale, Aaron Martin, Ian Carpenter and Adam Macdonald with producers Erin Berry and Paige Haight.

Shudder’s record-breaking series Creepshow, executive produced by showrunner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead), is based on George Romero’s 1982 horror comedy classic and brings to life a series of vignettes, exploring terrors ranging from murder, creatures, monsters and delusions to the supernatural and unexplainable. Heralded as “an irresistibly macabre package,” (Slant Magazine) and “an undeniable love letter to all generations of horror fans,” (CBR), the series has, over three seasons, been one of the most watched programs on Shudder and begins production on its new installment this spring.
