FEATURE LENGTH DOCUMENTARY CAPTURING LIFE ON A SINGLE DAY IN 2020 PREMIERES FEBRUARY 6 ON YOUTUBE

YouTube Originals released the first trailer today for the forthcoming feature length documentary, “Life In A Day 2020,” launching February 6 on the film’s YouTube channel. “Life In A Day 2020” premieres virtually at the Sundance Film Festival on February 1.

On July 25, 2020, people all over the world filmed their day and uploaded their footage to be considered for inclusion in the final feature-length documentary. Directed by Academy Award-winning director Kevin MacDonald (The Mauritanian, One Day in September, The Last King of Scotland), and executive produced by Ridley Scott (The Martian, Gladiator) and Kai Hsiung (Lords of Chaos), “Life In A Day 2020” is composed entirely of selected contributions from participants, and showcases just how extraordinary life can be on an ordinary day.

Ten years after the original “Life In A Day,” YouTube and the filmmakers asked people all over the world to record their lives to tell the story of a single day on Earth. The filmmakers received more than 300,000 submissions, nearly four times the number of submissions to the previous film, which includes thousands of hours of footage from 192 different countries, in more than 65 languages.

Among the massive number of submissions received for consideration, notable individuals featured in the uploaded footage include COVID-19 vaccine researchers in Oxford, Rohingya and Syrian refugees, Black Lives Matter protesters, a US Army veteran reflecting on his service, a woman and her challenging fertility journey, and many more personal portraits of individuals all over the world. Additionally, previous participants from the 2010 film were also included in this year’s film.

“Life In A Day 2020” is directed by Kevin Macdonald with Ridley Scott and Kai Hsiung serving as executive producers, and Jack Arbuthnott and Tim Partridge as producers. The documentary is produced by RSA Films in association with Flying Object.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. and CALGARY, AB, Jan. 25, 2021 — The Jim Henson Company will begin production on its new Fraggle Rock series in Calgary, Canada on January 25th, thanks to a coordinated effort from Calgary’s government officials Doug Schweitzer, Alberta Minister of Jobs, Economy and Innovation; and Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi who made the province’s attractive production rebate and COVID-19 mitigation efforts too appealing to pass up.

Each week, “Assembly Required” features three incredible makers who compete from their own home shops to create insane builds with their bare hands while both Allen and Karn pop in virtually to deliver colorful commentary and oversee their work across two challenge rounds. Resident expert April Wilkerson serves as Tim and Richard’s go-to source on the ‘how and why’ of each build, breaking down the complexities and giving the audience a bird’s eye view of what our challengers are up against.

Round one consists of the “make-or-break challenge” where all three makers have 90 minutes to build an item of Allen and Karn’s choosing while using the items specifically curated for them in their “mystery crates.” Round one builds this season include a fire extinguisher, water fountain, treadmill and handheld vacuum to name a few. All three makers will test their final constructs for the guys with only two moving on to round two to compete in the “run-with-it challenge.” Here they will have five full days to construct something that has never been created before by using the contents of another “mystery crate” as well as parts from their round one build. What the final two don’t know is Wilkerson will throw a proverbial “wrench” into their plans with “April’s Secret Challenge,” covertly tricking up one of the parts, so it will require a surprise repair. This ensures they aren’t just builders and inventors but also fixers. The final two builds will be shipped to Allen’s workshop where he and Karn will personally test each creation based on three criteria — quality, design and functionality. The winning maker takes home $5,000 in cash and the ultimate bragging rights.

And in another thematic challenge, the bakers rock the runway with their tasty takes on fashion trends using Easter candy as inspiration, including a strut down a catwalk with Easter bonnets. 2006 – Richard Hatch, the winner of $1 million in the debut season of “Survivor”, was found guilty of failing to pay taxes on his winnings. Hatch was taken straight to jail. His sentencing hearing was scheduled for April 28.

HBO Max Debuts Official Trailer & Key Art For Max Original Limited Series IT’S A SIN, Premiering February 18

HBO Max debuted the official trailer and key art today for the new Max Original, IT’S A SIN. All five episodes of the limited series debut THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18 on HBO Max.

Set in 1981, Ritchie (Olly Alexander), Roscoe (Omari Douglas) and Colin (Callum Scott Howells) are young lads, strangers at first, leaving home at 18 and heading off to London with hope and ambition and joy… and walking straight into a virus that most of the world ignores. Year by year, episode by episode, crossing the whole decade, their lives change as the mystery of that illness starts as a rumor, then a threat, then a terror, and then something that binds them together in the fight.

It’s the story of their friends, lovers and families too, especially Jill (Lydia West), the girl who loves them and helps them, and galvanizes them in the battles to come. Together they will endure the horror of the epidemic, the pain of rejection and the prejudices that gay men faced throughout the decade.

There are terrible losses and wonderful friendships. And complex families, pushed to the limit and beyond. This is a series that remembers the boys we lost, and celebrates those lives that burned so brightly.
