CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 22

60 MINUTES PRESENTS

Was the week’s #1 primetime broadcast in viewers, tied for #1 in adults 18+, and was #5 overall in adults 25-54.

CBS MORNINGS

Was the only program to grow from the prior week across adults, women and men.

Grew in the adults 25-54 demo for the second consecutive week and delivered its best number in 11 weeks.

Delivered 2.4 million viewers, with 510,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic, 314,000 women 25-54 and 196,000 men 25-54.

Grew +2% in the adults 25-54 demo while NBC was down -3% and ABC was down -4%.

Grew +1% in women and +4% in men with the competition dropping week-to-week in both.

Gained one competitive share point among adults and women and two points among men.

With 30 share points in men the broadcast hit its highest mark since December 2019.

Is delivering the tightest gaps for the season in adults 25-54 with ABC and NBC ever (since at least 1991), trailing NBC by -280,000 and ABC by -247,000.

CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL

Posted more week-to-week growth than the competition across viewers and key adults 25-54.

Was up +5% among viewers while both NBC and ABC were down.

Delivered 4.5 million viewers and 725,000 adults 25-54 the week ending August 26.

Was up +7% week-to-week in adults 25-54.

Was up +13% in women 25-54 week-to-week and gained two competitive share points.

48 HOURS ENCORE

Was Saturday night’s #1 primetime program in viewers.

CBS SATURDAY MORNING

Delivered 1.6 million viewers with 236,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic.

Has closed the viewer gap with ABC by 6% and with NBC by 4%.

Has closed the gap in the adults 25-54 demo with ABC by 7% and with NBC by 12%.

Is delivering the tightest gaps in the demo this season with NBC and ABC ever, dating to 1997/98.

Is delivering its tightest gap among viewers with NBC ever (since 1997/98) and with ABC since 2006/07.

CBS WEEKEND NEWS: SATURDAY

Posted its largest audience since December and its best adults 25-54 performance since June.

Delivered 3.2 million viewers, with 375,000 of them adults 25-54.

Gained +1.3 million viewers and +164,000 adults 25-54 from the previous week.
