Benson is joined by her second-in-command, Sgt. Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice T), Senior Det. Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish), Officer Katriona “Kat” Azar Tamin (Jamie Gray Hyder), Assistant District Attorney Dominick “Sonny” Carisi (Peter Scanavino) and Deputy Chief Christian Garland (Demore Barnes). * Conviction: The Case of Stephen Lawrence – Series 1 (RLJ/Acorn)
$34.99 SRP DVD

—–On April 22, 1993, 18-year-old Stephen Lawrence was killed in an attack by a racist gang. Thirteen years later, his parents continue to fight for justice. When DCI Clive Driscoll (Steve Coogan, Philomena) comes across the cold case file, he is convinced it can be solved, despite opposition from within the police. Shocked by historical failures, Clive tasks an independent team of forensic scientists to conduct a fresh examination of the evidence. Meanwhile, he works to gain the trust of Doreen and Neville Lawrence (Sharlene Whyte, We Hunt Together & Hugh Quarshie, Breeders), and win over key witnesses who were mishandled during previous inquiries. Based on real events, this powerful miniseries combines “the suspense of a gripping detective drama [and] the careful detailing of a docudrama” (Newsbreak) as it chronicles the efforts to confront a prejudiced system and convict the killers at last.

NOTE: this release does NOT contain “South Park: Post Covid” or “South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid”…the studio has not announced any reasoning for this, but we can speculate this possibly has to do with which episodes aired on Comedy Central, vs. which episodes were streamed on the Paramount+ service; the two “Post Covid” specials are listed by the VideoETA wholesale website as being available on a separate DVD and Blu-ray release on the same street date as “Season 24,” but the studio has not made any official announcement for such an item as of this writing
