ANNA

Episode 101 premieres Thursday, November 18 on AMC+

Anna is a dystopian story of a ravaged world destroyed by a virus which kills adults but spares children. Set amongst parched fields and mysterious forests, the crumbling hulks of shopping malls and abandoned cities pierce deserted wide-open spaces on an island reclaimed by nature and run by savage communities of survivors, most of whom are children. Anna only has one guide: a book left by her mother with instructions on how to survive. But, with each passing day she discovers that the old rules no longer apply, and instead must make up new ones as she goes along.

In the series premiere, the world as we know it no longer exists. A virus has ravaged the planet, wiping out the adults. The children are immune until puberty and live fighting over the few edible scraps which the grown-ups left them. In the woods, Anna looks after her little brother, Astor.

The six-part series will debut weekly until Thursday, December 23

HOLLINGTON DRIVE

Episode 101 premieres Thursday, November 18 on Sundance Now and AMC+

Hollington Drive focuses on the lives of two sisters, Theresa (Anna Maxwell Martin, Line of Duty, Motherland), and her older head teacher sibling, Helen (Rachael Stirling, The Bletchley Circle, Detectorists). After Theresa’s ten-year-old son, Ben (Fraser Holmes), asks to play in the nearby park with his cousin Eva (Amelie Bea Smith, The Haunting of Bly Manor, EastEnders) and the children don’t return on time, Theresa goes in search. Her suspicions are heightened when she finds the children on the edge of a woodland area, and they appear to be fighting. Immediately her instincts tell her something terrible has happened. This is all too realized when later that evening a distraught neighbor, Jean (Jodie McNee, Judy, Britannia), learns her ten-year-old son Alex (Hughie Hamer, Brave Bunnies, Medici) has gone missing.

In the series premiere, on a summer evening in the seemingly idyllic suburb of Hollington Drive, 10-year-old Alex is declared missing. Sisters and social pillars within the community, Theresa and Helen, struggle to hold their lives and their families together in the wake of this tragedy. Secrets and lies begin to surface and long held facades falter as grief rips through Hollington Drive.

The four-part series will debut weekly until Thursday, December 9
