HER PRODUCT, THE MINKEEBLUE MARIAH BACKPACK, SOLD OUT DURING SHOW’S BUYING WINDOW AND EARNED A PURCHASE ORDER DEAL WITH MACY’S

On last night’s LIVE premiere episode of USA Network’s new shoppable competition series “America’s Big Deal,” Sherrill Mosee was crowned the winning entrepreneur after selling out of her product, the MinkeeBlue Mariah Backpack, and earning the highest dollar sales during the show’s buying window. Sherrill met with the retail titan panel consisting of Lowe’s, Macy’s and QVC & HSN and received deal offers from Macy’s and QVC & HSN. In the end, she struck a life-changing purchase order deal with Macy’s representative Durand Guion (Vice President, Macy’s Fashion Office), valued at $100,000.

The other three entrepreneurs featured in the “America’s Big Deal” premiere, including Alicia Kelley (Mr Big), David Britt (SpiiderGriip) and Dr. Zonram Liao (Wellnergy Pets), sold their products throughout the night, resulting in eventual sell outs for all first episode products.

ABOUT WINNING ENTREPRENEUR SHERRILL MOSEE & HER PRODUCT:

Sherrill Mosee from Pennsylvania used to run a nonprofit organization helping low-income moms in college pay for childcare. While working with the moms, she noticed they carried a diaper bag, book bag and small bag inside their book bag. Sherrill realized that she, too, like so many other women, carried a purse, laptop bag and lunch bag while commuting to work – and that was cumbersome struggling with two to three bags every morning with everything she needed for the day. With no experience in fashion design, manufacturing or marketing, Sherrill decided she was going to design a bag that would separate her shoes from the purse essentials and a banana from her laptop.

The Mariah Backpack from MinkeeBlue is a patented organizational travel and work bag designed to eliminate the need to carry multiple bags while commuting to work. The bag includes a folding “shelf” that allows you to convert the bag from one to two compartments for easy storage of shoes, lunch, gym clothes, purse essentials and laptop. Customers who purchased Sherrill’s product through “America’s Big Deal” received the MinkeeBlue backpack with a bonus insulated nylon lunch box and a bonus shoe bag.
